I think sticky notes are always helpful when I’m feeling scared to mark up a Bible..then it gets easier and easier :) enjoy your new Bible! It’s so lovely
I LOVE what you have done to your new Jesus Bible!! I have both the NIV and the ESV. The ESV is my favorite translation. I think I would be scared to mark in it too, but just dive in and do it....make it your own....it's all part of your spiritual journey and there is no right or wrong way to learn or grow in the Lord :) Blessings from Australia!
G'day, Linda ~ Welcome! You are so right about just jumping in...as I sit here teetering on the edge, hahaha! I'm gonna ramble through some of my highlighters this evening and pick out a color palette and make the jump! Thanks for watching and your encouragement! :)
I'm in the same boat! I have 2 of these Bibles that I plan to go through, mark up, write in and pass on to my kids, but still deciding on how to go about it. Thanks for making this video! Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this!
Definitely not alone ~ I just watched a video where someone used colored pens for specific things and that got me thinking, so my wheels are spinning...I'll share if I come up with something that may be a good and simple application ;)
It really is, Crissy! The extra commentary is helpful for specifically seeing Jesus walked out. So far I've done a lesson each night of Faith's video bootcamp and written some vocabulary and notes in the spiral. I think this new way will be interesting to see where it leads ~ Thanks for watching!
Way to go, Melissa! God is SOOOO good! You encouraged me to peek at my "sober app" and it says 1,563.45 days (almost FIVE years) I am never more amazed at how God restores as I am that day I heard Him (day 84 of my umpteen time trying on my own) ~ Hang on to Him every step and you too will be in AWE of His Amazing Grace! Thanks so much for sharing!
Instead of marking the whole paragraph, you might consider drawing lines down the sides, so that you can draw another line in another color the next time you read.
Another GREAT and simple idea ( LOVE easy)! Thanks, Tana Lee for your suggestion. I do think I'm looking to be more minimal and coordinated in this Bible, so this may work...
Gray’s Custom Rebinding 🤗 His name is Chad and he was so easy to work with and open to suggestions and he even has Bibles already rebound that are gorgeous 😍 Next on my list would be the Bordeaux color on my NASB 95 🤓 but in due time 😉
Hey Jen ~ Yes, I have actually watched a few of her videos. I enjoy her takeaways. I'm not following the Recap reading plan so our days of study are off, but I do like her set up :) Thanks for the recommendation!!
Since it is not a journaling bible, you could just use it for reading and maybe a church note here and there. Things that will be helpful during your next read through. Will you use your binder by having a section for each book of the bible? I have actually thought about doing that.
I have to agree with you about The Jesus Bible….it’s my all time favorite Bible❤❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing your journey✝️❤️🙏🏽❤️✝️. I also ❤❤❤❤highlighters….I highlight everything. That is a beautiful rebind…. I ❤️❤️❤️it. Could you please share who did your rebind.
Right, Sharon!! It's not a so called "premium" Bible as far as paper goes but the content and commentary makes it seem so much more "personal" if that makes sense...I had my Bible done by Gray's Custom Rebind...The gentleman's name is Chad. Super easy to work with and I had my Bible back just shy of a month :)
Thank you, Sharon! I had my Bible rebound by Gray's Custom Binding...Chad was easy to work with and open to suggestions and prompt in his work. I LOVE how it turned out. :)
@@Colorado_Native a tip-in is simply adding something in, like a paper :) I think the official definition is “page that is printed separately from the main text of the book, but attached to the book” hope this helps!
Hey Tammy! I use my ESV for study/reading mostly. I do have a CSB (She Reads Truth) that I have opened up and started flipping through...they say it's a good combination of the ESV and the NIV for understandability.

Thank you, Rebeccaly! I love your channel ~ and yes, love me some sticky notes!
This is exactly what I came on to say…cool.
I love my Jesus Bible too! Love how everything relates to Jesus ❣️❣️
YES, I agree...EVERYTHING Jesus!
I am a HUGE fan of the tabs on top!!!
Thanks Emilia ! Me too! I think they don’t get as damaged ☺️

I'd love to see an updated video of your bible collection :)
That does sound like a fun video to make...thanks for requesting and I shall pull one together in the near future!! and maybe how I use them???
@@Seasonedwithsalt68 yes and how you use them would be great as well!

That bible looks like a great one to add to my collection! I love that binder idea.

Thank you so much for this video. I have been clean for 14 months. You are an inspiration to me. ❤🙏 God is so good!

My pastor teaches from the ESV. I’d love to get an ESV interleaved journaling Bible but the version out now has too small of a font.
I want one too, but in large font.
EXACTLY why I gifted the one I had...I think the font was like a 6.5 and I just couldn't...if you find one, do share the deets ;)
Let us know, Marci Jo if you find one in your searches ;)

your Bible is beautiful
Thank you Kristy!
Thank you so very much for sharing all of your video’s. You’re Amazing. Bless You Always.
Thank you so much, Robin for your sweet encouragement! Much appreciated!

Have you checked out heart dive with Kanye Gibson? Great Bible study on you tube

Yes, I was thinking of doing sections separated by the cliff notes 🤔

Rather than highlighting you can bracket a paragraph or text and add a simple note to the side in the margin.
Great and simple idea (just what I'm looking for, Kathy) thanks for sharing!
Who rebounded your Bible?
Gray’s Custom Rebinding! He did amazing, and he’s super easy to work with, prompt when messaging and updates snippets of teases 😂👏🏼
Awesome. Who did the rebinding of your bible?

make tip-ins instead of writing in it.
