Thank you for standing the legal and correct. NO STEALING FOR ANY REASON
I truly believe that you were “lazy” because you were not supposed to be on that freeway. You have some amazing angels 😇
The doll was Jacqueline Kennedy! Love her❤
😱
My first thought was her sister Lee. But definitely Jackie Kennedy
Haaaaaaaaa Jackie Kennedy doll,I'm sure u weren't the first to "look up her dress" Onassis did I'm sure
I knew it was a Kennedy, I just couldn't figure out which one. 😊
Yeah,Jacqueline Kennedy for sure.
Prayers for everyone affected by that wrong way driver on the 215 on Thursday!
definitely divine intervention. Instead of shaking it off. Revel in His presence and be thankful.
That doll that you said looks like a movie star. It looks a lot like Jackie Onassis Kennedy.
it was and was really well done...in her inauguration gown.
@@lindastorm7264Jackie Kennedy Onnasis she was a Kennedy first
Jackie Kennedy is the doll. She's valued at $225.
I kept saying, “PICK HER UP!”
That coffee cup of all those ladies were the GOLDEN GIRLS ON TV
I agree with you. You can’t steal stuff. Ask the store because if you are down and out, our store gives you what you need. You don’t ever need to steal it.
Something people steal because they want those things, but don’t want to spend their money for them. I agree there is never a reason to steal.
Shame shame .
I’m floored that someone would suggest that there could be a circumstance that would justify theft! There are food banks and clothing banks. If you need items for resale, try trash picking or buy nothing sites. There’s always a way. Please don’t ever stop getting mad when you see it happen. Complacency is a big part of the problem.
Yeah,I have heard the “I’m just feeding my family” justification…since may 2020 it’s been insane in NYC. ROVING BANDS OF RETAIL THIEVES. NO BAIL REQUIRED.
Our Goodwill has the same policy AND they won't let you plug/test electronics.
I'm sure there are people who steal a bunch of stuff and then go around and sell it to buy drugs or whatever! Stealing is stealing, period! That's why honest people end up paying more for things! 😠
WOW, so scary! You are loved!
Thank you for making it absolutely 100% clear that shop lifting is unacceptable. Sadly, our society seems to have shifted the message when it comes to crime.
ARGENT is French for SILVER. I speak 4 languages and always want to help you along when things are marked in German, Italian, or French. That lovely silver bowl with the beaded handles is awesome. Great find!
I totally agree our goodwill does the same thing! It’s very aggravating and frustrating to say the least. Why do they not understand that??? Have a manager price it for goodness sake. They are not Saks, Tiffany’s Nordstrom etc. they really need to get their heads out of their buts …. Their pricing has become ridiculous and they allow people to steal left and right, pay their people terrible wages and claim to be doing good for the community while their executives are paid top dollar………. That’s my rant! 🤔🙄
Your rant is totally agreed. I've seen many people applying for Goodwill and everyone of them are turned down. I know this, because I drive the older ones around. Have them straighten the racks. Pick up fallen clothes. Clear dressing room full of clothes. Put carts in order or clean them out. Anything simple. I stopped taking them. Walmart and McDonald's hired them. These individuals are people too, even though they have challenges in their lives❤❤❤❤
I agree with your rant. Multimillionaire CEO and workers paid crap and prices going up and up and up.
Dani, I saw the price tag on the bunny fall to the bottom shelf. I was yelling, “it’s on the bottom shelf,” 😂
NOT a movie star but your former first lady Jackie Kennedy!
Don’t take company pricing policies personally. There are many Goodwills that have adopted the pricing policy that upsets you.
Jackie Kennedy was the doll.
I think you were being protected by your guardian angel. I am glad you are ok. ❤
I totally agree, God protects Thank you for letting Dani listening & be tired definitely AGOD THING ! Enjoy your videos !
Definitely
The doll is Jackie Kennedy
God works in mysterious ways. It was a blessing that you didn’t go as planned. Thank God.
I'm liking you more & more since you're willing to stand up for what's right!
I still have a kirby we bought as newlyweds! Will be married 41 years this year. Still runs great!
I’m still using my mom’s.
I still have one also.
Sooo heavy
The wooden box was a picture of Shiprock in New Mexico located on the Navajo Nation.
The silver shell is a condiment server for relishes/jams/'jellies/pearl onions, mayonnaise, etc. You see the spoon notch in the side of the top and it is missing its glass dish insert. Find a glass dish that fits and a little serving spoon and it'll be complete.
The shell is for condiments. There is an insert that is glass, shaped to go inside the bottom of the shell, and has a small long handled spoon to go with it.
Most usually are missing both the glass piece and spoon due to breakage or simply those pieces being lost
We just need to accept the no price no sale policy. Does it suck? Yes! But getting upset robs you of something more important... Your peace!
Does anyone know what happens to the unpriced merchandise?
Amen
@@SuperDrLisa the manager priced it basically as soon as she left and put it back on the shelf. Ridiculous isn’t it?
I get why they do that. Others would deliberately pull off prices in hopes of a better price. A few dishonest people ruin it for many….unfortunately.
Theft is theft. Lies are lies. Those people who defend that stuff makes everything worse.
I have a big metal candle holder that's made to sit in front of a fireplace ... I snipped the little pokie things off and lined them with felt and used it to display my paperweights
The "movie star" doll was Jackie Kennedy. From the 1960's.
I totally agree with you Dani 😮 bc Stealing is Stealing. , no matter the circumstance or Reason 😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢😢
So glad you are safe! I agree. There is never a good reason for stealing. Stealing means you are taking away from the livelihood of others. Such a shame our society has reached the point where we debate whether or not crime is crime. Toys R Us now has a section in Macy's. I found Glassy Babies over a year ago but nothing since then. Same thing has happened to me many times about missing out on items with no tags. Very frustrating!
I agree with you Danny. I also don't like the red tag nonsense. They get it free and over price it. Its a thrift store, not a resale store like Ross ect., or boutique. I feel they lose sales that way.
That new rule of not pricing items that don't already have a price on them really upset me when it started. I was in Florida with my daughter and she picked out a dress for a special occasion but it didn't have a tag so we couldn't buy it. I had to leave out of state the next day and couldn't go back when it was supposed to be priced and put back out. She was very upset because she's very small for a 17 year old and good adult looking dresses in her size are hard to find. She didn't have a ride back to the goodwill to pick up the dress once I left either.
An exact reason this is such a bad policy!
😢
Goodwill has had the no price no sale policy in Virginia for years!
It looked to me that several items you looked at didn't have price tags. It seems their new policy isn't working. Instead of sending these items from the check stands back to be priced, at the end of the day they are just being returned to the shelves. I agree, there isn't an excuse for shop lifting. There are so many places these days that will help if in need. Doll looked like Jackie O. I truly believe your Guardian Angel was whispering in your ear that day.
5:16 pm… I thought the tag fell down into the shelf below ❤.
That doll is Jackie Kennedy! You should have picked her up!!!!
Wow! I really loved that painted dresser! I thought it looked great!
Me too!
The goodwill that I’ve been going to (Victor NYS)about once a week for a couple years, has always had the policy, no price tag , no sale. Open baggie, no sale.
The shell you picked up is a butter dish and it has a glass insert and a small silver butter knife in england butter was bought loose and it was put in a small dish because of the cost
I had that happen to me one time.my granddaughter found a jack in the box and fell in love with it, but when we went to pay for it it didn't have a price on it so they would not let me buy it. My baby's heart was broken, I even tried to pay what ever they wanted to charge me for it , And still they wouldn't do it. So I never went back there anymore. So calm down it happens to all of us. There is always more and better stuff 😉😊
I found a mauve Glassybaby “Mom” in the summer 4 years ago about a minute (actually a few weeks) after I first heard about them. Haven’t seen another one since. 🥰🇨🇦
I worked for goodwill years ago an I worked there almost 9 years.that was always the policy.
Every region is run differently
I’ve always thought it was a stupid policy,
Goodwill is so dang tight for stuff they got for free. They make me sick
So sorry for what happened 😔 I know your a single mom.and I know you work hard for your family.i will pray for you Just smile you will get something better 😊
That's been all my Goodwills policy as long as I've been shopping there. I used to think you were so lucky that your stores would price items on the spot for you. I definitely understand your frustration.
Your great
AND YOUR RIGHT..HAve manager price it..shouldn't the item be in computer and price there?
Still you found great stuff..sorry Bunny had to stay there
💕 thxs for sharing 💕
I would be super curious to know how many of these items end up selling on dollar day because they lost the ideal customer willing to pay up for the item.
The crosses are beautiful! Great find with the candle holder. The over the door holder is so pretty. Wow you found great items, but more importantly, you are safe and that makes me happy!
Our Goodwill policy is if it doesn’t have the price we just take it to the register and they get a price. I know the manager and one time I spotted a vintage blow mold snowman in the back and I asked him if I can buy it and he let me have it for $10. ❤❤
My goodwill has the no tag no sale thing...I think that policy is just dumb! You're lucky
Where I live the GoodWills' often price used (and often damaged) items over new price. Plus they have, IMHO, mostly junk I'd send to the dump or sell as scrap. Even on shirts, I can often buy them new for the same or lower price than they want. I also find that quite often the clothing is damaged and they still are putting premium pricing on it. I also note that their surplus store here is not getting the items for sale that they used to get. It appears they sell items of value online now. and not in the stores anymore. So I have removed them from my list to buy or donate to because of their pricing. Here the addicts steal just about anything with no consequences, and they all seem to steal shopping carts. That has an effect on your grocery prices, U-Line is selling grocery carts for $600.00 each, and someone has to pay for the stolen carts. The customers do.
You can see the tag fall off the bunny. It was at 13:18 off the back of the dress. It fell to the rack below
Fell in love with the little castle mountain box. I've been in a stressy stretch of life, so today I went over to your site and snagged it. You're my splurge to encourage myself through a challenging time; thank you! 😄
Awww I hope it brings you joy! Maybe I'll include a little surprise inside ;-)
Danny, she is Jackie Kennedy. She is gorgeous and I am sure there is some people who would love to own that limited edition doll.
The silver shell is a butter dish it should also have a glass dish inside and knife , my grandma had this!!!❤
That doll was Jackie Onassis 😅 back as the first lady . You knew that you were just testing us 😊
That JBK doll was pretty! 😍 And I don't usually like dolls!
Love the Jackie Kennedy doll. My daughter looks like her.
Oh my Danni!! The "Pitcher" is a Pink Zebra warmer!! It sets outside of the warmer cylinder, and that way you can easily change out your wax melt warmer decor without buying a completely different warmer! How cool!
I had to pause and look it up. I would love that for my back porch. I wouldn’t pay the 45.00 from online
I'm not sure how long it's been since you have been to a goodwill but they they have been announced this for over a month on the loud speakers at every goodwill and other resellers have been already ranting. A worker that worked for Goodwill for years said there policy use to be this way a long time ago and that corporate decided to go back to it because the crew that does the pricing now has to look more things up to decided the resale price and also if the item need to go online and sent out. As they work 9-5 and have a quota of racks they have to get out it was taking from their time as well and need to do those prices the next day. They also are cutting back in employees checkers so not to hold up the lines..so several reasons why the change. Others utube resellers gave already been casting their complaints to corporate. But tines are changing and cut backs and inflation and min wages are effecting all everywhere😢
I had heard rumours but this was my first experience with it, and I think the worst thing was showing them the price on the rabbit in the video and them still saying nope can't sell it. I guess if their numbers slow down they will either respond with relooking at the policy or rising prices which will put them out of business eventually!
That doll is Jacqueline Kennedy.
We don’t have Goodwill but at the Value Village in my town if something does not have a tag and you ask for a price they will take it into the back room for a price. I usually won’t end up buying it because the price ends up being about 3x what you think it will be. And yes, I have watched people slough off their ripped up shoes and leave them in the shoe dept and walk out in almost brand new shoes. Just keep being you Danni. You are one of a kind ❤
Dani! I hope you read this. When it comes to donated flower vases please mention to folks to consider donating to a local hospital unit. I’ve worked my entire nursing career in labor and delivery. Visitors always bring flowers for new moms and babies, but no vase. They often ask us, the staff, for a vase. Of course we don’t carry a supply of vases at the hospital so…often beautiful flowers get shoved into and ugly short plastic water pitcher. I used to go to goodwill to pick them up and keep them on the unit but goodwill started getting too crazy with prices. So if I find them cheap at yard sales I’ll get them. Anyway, maybe give this PSA suggestion to your viewers. Hospitals, especially labor and delivery, post Partum units, can certainly use vases. Thanks! Love your channel.
I never thought about that! Thanks!
Your silver shell had a glass insert and spoon and was often served with an accutoment of a seafood dish - like cocktail sauce or lemons
Not selling something without a price is how it’s always been around where I live.
Don Julio box is for napkins. You reach into the slots to get them.
Our goodwill NEVER sells without tags
I never thought you’d pick up word art. Live, love laugh. I never want any words in my home.
🤫
Me either sister. Nothing makes your home look more dated then word art. Yuck.
I don't fault anyone for what they wish to decorate with! Who am I to judge what makes someone else happy!
No books?
The Clam shell originally had a Clam shell glass dish, inside. It was a butter dish that was popular in the early 80's.I was given one as part of a wedding gift.
Wow, that's a lot of drama but I get your point. I once tried to buy 3 dishes, same style but a different color at Salvation Army. Two of them had price stickers and one did not. They wouldn't sell me the unpriced dish even though it was exactly the same as the other two. Since it was a set, I didn't buy any of them. Now I know their policy, I don't even bother to put unpriced items in my cart.
@9:55 - you could even use this for a birdfeeder fill each glass with seeds and put it in the middle of your garden or hang it somewhere. 😉
Love your videos.
🥰❤️🇨🇦
So many wonderful finds!
That wooden box with image reminds me of ShipRock!
Thank God you are A-ok , re that driving accident...❤
I have grown to love you girl. You are 100% correct. There is never a good excuse for stealing but this is a sign of the times. Sad & sorry people have been brainwashed. Keep going & always stand your ground.
The silver shell you picked up is missing a glass insert and spoon. I have my grandmother’s,it has a blue insert and she used it for marmalade on her breakfast table.
You keep buying for yourself. Even though you say you know what people that buy from you want. I don't think so. You started buying more and more for your projects. I'm trying to help you before you realize you are back doing it again. Be strong. I like you and admire your hard work, but it's time to see what you are doing.
I will always buy things for myself as well as for resale. I think most CZcamsrs who do what I do don't show the whole shopping trip and edit out their personal purchases, I' m letting you into all of it! My resale business is thriving so I'm pretty sure I am doing ok in the picking out stuff ;-)
what is the reason for charging $2 to view your purchases at end of show?l’m 80, retired love watching your decisions. What is the number of years before an item becomes”vintage”? I believe Our Heavenly Father was looking down on The NICHE Lady on the day of the terrible accident…. that is my”thought of the day.”✝️ Love your show ! PRoane 3:51
WOW, you are finding some of the coolest items
Don’t give up on Good Will as a whole. Each store seems to have their own rules as far as no tags. Whether I’m buying an item or not, I will give them the item, so that it can be priced.
Danni...here in Northern Michigan..the No price, no sale, has been implemented in almost ALL resale stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army, Re-Store Habitat) ect for some time now. One of our local resale stores (church owned) we call the 4 buck store because mens and womens shirts, sweaters, and shorts (regardless of name brand, or "dressy", "casual" status are all $4. Plain Walmart type T-shirts $4 each...Snazzy, dressy, Old Navy, (Top Brand names) shirts and blouses also $4..NONE of our local stores do the "buyouts" of other closing or old stock from other stores..EVERYTHING IS DONATED..And believe me, there are a lot of non priced items on their shelves, and they want to complain about sales being down..How about you guys spend and hour a day going through your departments checking for unmarked items...Do a different department each day...or when you're putting out new stock, check items 3 feet to each side of what you put out for non priced stuff, or even periodically check a few random items for prices..YOUR CUSTOMERS are aware of the no price, no sale rule...so most just leave the unmarked items where ever they were. WHY I don't understand the "No price" rule in our area is, like I said, EVERYTHING for sale has been DONATED..Seems like getting even a little less for something, rather than getting nothing at all for it because it wasn't priced, would be better sales for them, and also help run through stock faster. Within a 30 mile radius, I have 15-16 resale THRIFT stores...How many have a color of the day/week?(since COVID)...only 1....One of the church stores does have a small clothing section where whatever color it is that week those tagged items are: children's 50 cents each and adults $1 each. These items are quite often out of season, or things that have been around for quite a while) Other than that there are pretty much NO DISCOUNT days, and most are open Tues-Fri 10-4, and Sat 10-3..(Less than 30 hours a week). You pretty much cannot have a day job and be able to shop in any of these stores.
Ouch that just doesn't seem like good policy - time will tell if they can keep the doors open! Sadly they will blame it on something other than not being aware of how they reduced their own customer base.
Im so glad you are ok.. yes shooketh. nope no stealing ever good, ever.. ..she looks like Jackie O. we must find our the mystery of the bottomless pitcher!!!! crazy! I am SO glad you will be contacting your Goodwill contact.. this is infuriating to us too! I cant tell you how much stuff i find without prices and its not fair for those of us who aren't trying to price switch. UGH! please let us know what you find out. I'm so glad you had the video to show them. even tho it didnt matter, you still knew you saw it..
That’s how my Goodwill in Rochester NY is and has been for a long time.
I loved the painted chest!!!
I would love that Italian leaf plate!!!!
Getting it listed today!
Those three crosses are really pretty
OH MY GOSH, JACQUELINE BOUVIER KENNEDY IN HER INAUGURATION GOWN.....I BET THAT GOES FOR BUCKS. HOW SAD YOU DID NOT RECOGNIZE HER. BUT I AM 75 SO MAYBE YOU DO NOT REMEMBER!
So glad your ok.
Always listen to the voices in your head. Xoxox
Same happened to me at Goodwill -- found a skirt that fit and went well with a jacket. As I was checking out, the clerk said ",No price tag. Can't sell it to you." That was the first time and it was 2 weeks ago! Grr
A Charlie Brown eucalyptus tree.. You're so right, there is never a time where shoplifting is ok. So sorry you had a bad day...
Thank you for your videos. I appreciate a lot your way of sharing. I'm a French Canadian and the silver plate you founded at the beginning of your video, the name is written in French: "Argent Orfèvres" it means "silver goldsmith".
Stealing will inevitably cost the customer in the long run, because the company will have to offset their profits by raising their prices. That means we lose in the process.
I don’t understand that because they don’t have inventory and so they don’t know how much they lost.?
I love that cookbook holder! My Nanny’s cookbook would look great on it❤ can’t wait until it gets to your store
Listing it today!
I have the Daisy Platter that goes with the serving bowl u picked up 😊
Sorry they wouldn’t price your things so you could buy it.
This world is so upside down. It drives a person crazy!
However I thank you for your videos and the time you spend showing us these items!
I believe that God delays us for a reason. So you being late on your shopping trip could of saved your life. We just never know. I do know that I’m thankful for God who loves us enough to show us he cares!❤🙏🕊
You're right to be upset! it is ridiculous that the manager won't price it! At least you know people higher up. Let them know!
@@glorias8540 Absolutely a ridiculous statement,it's freaking Goodwill for christ sakes,"ALL DONATED ITEMS!!!🙄 A "good" business practice, the manager of the store should always be willing to price an item that doesn't have a price tag on it for the customer,PERIOD!!! No ifs ands or buts,Goodwill continues to be a flourishing business because of their customers!
@@glorias8540 Hi Gloria. I think they should take this new "policy" away for all the Goodwill locations, not just the one.
Sorry Dani. I so agree with you. You ranted for me concerning something else. Thank you I feel better.
Your guardian angel! 🙏😇
Yes, the clamshell is a crumb-catcher, and would have a small brush with it.
I am surprised that you didn't recognize Jackie Kennedy.
The flower project is actually a nut bowl and the center is for nut tools.😊
YES! I'm right with you about Goodwill being nonsensical and ridiculous about how they are handling missing price tags at check out! I've experienced the same situation here at Salvation Army in Michigan too! LOL, and they're not even nice about it. It also sorta leaves you feeling like the guilty one.
Anyways, lately I've been noticing that things seem just a bit off.
I'm feeling divine intervention Danny.. someone is watching over you🥰
I’m sorry , but I love that dresser and the colors it are gorgeous
Shiprock mountain on Navajo land in New Mexico - pretty sure that’s what is on the wooden box 😃
Omg, as a little funny to lighten the atmosphere. You finally bought something from Avon. And Noah might like that measure trivet.
And already sold it too!
Other than the missing price items, your haul was good!
