The cost of groceries is going up by 15% by year’s end. Head to markets near closing times to get fresh food bargains. In Melbourne, I recommend: Queen Victoria Market, Footscray Market, Prahran Market, Springvale Market and Dandenong Market.

You do a great job on your videos. I’ve just watched a few and you come across as a very smart, caring person 👍
I did notice that some of the things you have mentioned about Australia, being punctual, being polite, respecting people from different cultures/backgrounds were things I thought most people did and it was just the odd exception who didn’t. It seems it’s different in your home country 😔

G’Day, not bad, not far off the mark except for the utilities, I pay around $200 a month for electricity but I live in a 3 bedroom house, unfortunately.
Believe it or not but over a year ago I was paying $700 a month until I got them to put in a new water heater.

how much is the rent for 1 bed furnished apartment in melbourne cbd?

    • @livingsimplyaustralia

Hi! I have a few videos on that - czcams.com/video/VxOmr0Z-8pc/video.html and czcams.com/video/d-vCU_9dFpg/video.html - sometimes the price for furnished apartments may be the same as un-furnished because it's more convenient to the owner, or sometimes it may go up a tad, but there's not much difference - and the size and amenities of the one-bed apartment will also determine the pricing. Highly recommend checking out those vids to get an idea on how to look for rental properties according to your requirements.

I'll try to see how can I fix that. In the meantime, I highly recommend checking out Facebook Marketplace for buying appliances. Usually they are second hand and much cheaper and excellent quality (all my appliances got them from there and still working well after years! - make sure to ask the seller for the warranty papers). For new items, have a look at Harvey Norman but a bit more $$
