    I’ve had my T59/TV for ten days now. I love this guitar. The build quality is fantastic. It is super resonant. It plays great right out of the box. I don’t want to let go of long enough to get my luthier
    to do his magic. I have a Heritage Blues Boy which is a little larger than a 339. It is a killer semi-hollow as well. You’re right about Telecasters as well. Fender and G&L take your pick. The Eastman is a feast for the eyes and ears. I’ve been looking at Gibson 347s for a while and took a chance on the Eastman…. Best $2,000.00
    I’ve spent in a LONG TIME!

    I have two Eastman SB 59s. I bought the antique varnish one and then I bought a lacquer finish one. Eastman's are hard to get now. I've had an sb55 on order for almost two and a half years hoping it comes in this fall. I absolutely love Eastman's the workmanship is absolutely phenomenal. I really like my Gibson's and fenders but the Eastman sb59v is Far and Away my favorite guitar now.

      I finally got a SB59V about three weeks ago and I still pinch myself that I really have one. Took a long time to find one to demo but once I did I had to have one. Eastman said they are 8-10 months behind on SB59V’s but I found a new one on Reverb. It literally is perfect and makes me want to improve my playing and keep practicing.

    T-484 owner here. Bought it just over a year ago and it is a keeper..
    1. The neck is closer to a thin taper neck than the neck on a ES-339. 2, It comes from the factory with a SD Jazz neck and SD 59 Bridge pickups. I walked into the store and the staff had unpacked the guitar only a couple hours earlier that day and all they did was tune it up. Intonation was good, and the neck was very playable. I had the guitar set up with GHS Nickel Rockers and the bridge top wrapped. The luthier there was no need to replace and recut the nut.
    The T-484 does not feel like a ES-339, however, it feels like an old friend and is very comfortable to play. The pickups give this guitar a unique character and I could feel the mids from the Jazz neck and really notice the mids cut with the 59 bridge pickup.
    Playing it acoustically, it isn't loud and then again, neither is the ES-339.
    Would I buy it again .... yes, in place of a ES-339; oh hell yes!

    Thanks for this video. While I'm at it, I've already owned an Epiphone ES-339, and I sold it due to the neck being too heavy (head dive). The truss rod on the latter is really massive. Have you ever compared the difference in head dive between the T484 and the Epiphone ES-339?

    Your Eastman is very cool Krenar and sounds sweet too. Ergonomics are very important. I love Les Pauls, the look, the sound even the smell, but I just could not get comfy with mine and had to sell it. I am a much better player on Asats & Teles. So now I just buy those with different styles of pick ups.

  • @lazvt8469
    @lazvt8469 Před rokem

    Heard a guy say that in German there's a saying that "the eyes get to eat too"....in other words...if the guitar is not easy on eyes, it's less likely to be played, regardless of tone, etc. I know this is true for me. I'm a very shallow person. ;-) Having a great 'personality' is not enough. E.g., My SG is exceptional....a keeper....but I rarely play it.

  • @SophisticatedBob

      @KrenarCilkuGuitar  Před rokem +1

      Hey there! The neck is more on the chunkier side on this one, at least that's what it feels like to me. Comparable to my PRS SE 245 Standard but not huge. I always recommend trying one before buying if you have the chance, especially for guitars that cost $1500+ like this Eastman. Cheers man!

      @KrenarCilkuGuitar  Před rokem

      Hey Chris! Thanks for subscribing! It is definitely a very versatile guitar and it can do pretty much anything you want it to do. You can get some very nice Santana lead tones on the bridge pickup, creamy bluesy tones on the neck and if you dial back the gain and tone on the neck pickup slightly, it becomes the perfect jazz guitar. Cheers!

    whats the difference between 484 and 486? Also being a novice with electric guitars and electric components i saw one of your other videos with a pedal line 6 stomp with this guitar. I have a boss katana mk2 50 and wondering is a pedal worth getting considering the effects on the amp

    • @KrenarCilkuGuitar
      @KrenarCilkuGuitar  Před rokem +1

      Hey there! The main difference between the 484 and the 486 is the size. The 486 is bigger, more like an ES-335. About the HX Stomp, I personally think it will work great with the Katana 50 because I also had one and the main point is that you will be able to use the HX Stomp for a long time. It is a very valuable tool, in my opinion. I hope this helps, let me know if you have more questions. Cheers!

    • @KrenarCilkuGuitar
      @KrenarCilkuGuitar  Před rokem +1

      Hey there, there is no neck dive going on with mine, at all. It is pretty well balanced. Nonetheless, I always advice for you to try a guitar before purchasing it in-store or at least consider buying it online from a store that has a good return policy. Cheers!

    I would never spend 2000USD on made in china guitar. They may sound good, but that's just ridicolous. Also, the craftmanship, headstock, the way the finish looks (kinda cheap), seems like they are shipped from Epiphone factory. For this price tag you should at least expect nitro finish. You can pick second hand gibson from reverb for less.
