Glad to see the development of ballroom dancing going to new levels of professionalism, even better when the lectures are by the World Champions! The old school never likes changes, which is a shame. Thanks guys excellent explanation and demonstration.

In my 30 years as a professional dance instructor and competitor, this trend to extreme over shaping has actually ruined the beauty of the line figures..or picture steps. Even in general with the school figures this over shaping and extreme posturing makes the dances look disjointed and contrived! There is nothing natural looking about any of it. The softness and elegance of the dances like waltz, foxtrot, and Viennese waltz is in my opinion been lost. I pray for the days that this crazy extreme looking and over athletic dancing ends.

Great to have a different voice from an experienced ballroom competitor, really appreciate your input.
The trend of ballroom dancing has come to this way for reasons, the most important thing is to enjoy your dancing everybody and that is also why we come to dance. For which style is better, I think dancers will make a choice in the end.
A sentence from Jurassic Park: Life will find its way out
remember dont forget to enjoy your dancing everybody, being happy, it's all that matters.
      yes?
