Kia ora from NZ...thanks for the post..I have the Zebra crossing album..it's awesome, have had it for years...I play their CD in my class and at first the kids moaned...but now they love it as much as me...hahaha
this is a message of a people with strength in mind and soul.the dance could be township jive or tsaba tsaba. all in all ,no rythm like this, just super.
@@nomfundohloele3112 I met your dad and the quartet in Scotland at the music festival in Aberdeen in 1979(we were so young then). They came to perform but with "politics" the way they were at the time they were boycotted and not allowed to perform. Our orchestra was actually just a young musicians summer camp from York, PA, USA. Our leaders asked us if we would want them to play with us so at least they would have an opportunity to play, we all voted yes!!! I think they were amazed that we took them in without reservation. They were such fine musicians and really nice young men. I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. My one daughter played cello in school, we both love the sound. I play trombone still with a few genres of local groups. Are you still in contact with the other quartet members? Joshua was probably the one I spoke with the most. Tonight on a whim I googled his name, Soweto, string quartet and cried when it came to the videos etc. I wish I'd have done it years ago. I'm so glad that they continued sharing their talents for all those years. I hope things are calmer in SA now than they were a couple weeks ago. This whole world is such a mess. Blessings to you and yours💕
