"I'm not making excuses for Dak" as he makes excuses for Dak. Good one, Rich.
Rich just plays to the media hype and panders to the largest fan bases.
@@shantanu1010 The Cowboys Fan Base KNOWS that Dak LOST the game.
not as much as he makes excuses for Brady tho
@@polpol1005Do you know what's the difference between Dak and Brady !?? 7 Superbowls win !!! Eat that
@@Samael_TheFallen Rich is kinda woke but not over the top. Same with the lamar nonsense. Oh the ravens need to pay him 300 million all guaranteed and he will run them to 3 Superbowls.
Dak had 3 games all season with no interceptions, and twice as many games with multiple interceptions.
I don't know why anyone thought the Tampa game wasn't an outlier, especially since Tampa was the worst team in the playoffs and only made it because the rest of their division also sucked.
I seen a stat that 49 games in a row he hasn't put together 2 straight games without a turn over......4 FUQN 9!!!!!!
Dak hasn’t had 2 consecutive games without a turnover in 49 straight games. How’s that stat hit you?
Why is it that when other teams like the Eagles or Chiefs, etc. dominate lesser teams like the Bucs, they are given credit for doing so? But when the Cowboys do that, the response is "But they played a weak team"?
This season was an anomaly of sorts in terms of Dak's turnovers. He's usually more careful with the ball but for whatever reason he wasn't this season. Those turnovers really, really hurt the team's chances of winning. If he takes care of the ball like he normally does, then what would have been the outcome of the 49ers game? Maybe they still lose b/c of Pollard's injury but it would have been much, much tighter.
@@Just1Bum it's mainly because history, the past 5 years the chiefs have made it to AT LEAST, the AFC champ game, The Eagles have won a super bowl in the past 5 years, so have the Chiefs, meanwhile the past 5 years the Cowboys have won only two playoff games one of which was just this year against an 8-9 team that struggled all year and only made the playoffs because it's division is worse. Add even more history where the Cowboys can't make it past the Divisional round since 1996, it becomes easier to belittle the team, it isn't always right since they make the playoffs at a decent enough clip and also atleast win once every now and then in the wildcard, but again add in the amount of media coverage and fan as well as media calling the cowboys Americas team, ppl feel justified in ripping into a average team that acts and even is treated as a great one
@@Coref0x well the chiefs have had a better team. They're supposed to get there. The eagles hadn't done nothing since 2017 until this year. The bills haven't won a AFC title game since Allen took over. What has he done?? They've made it just once and he's better than Dak. The Cowboys haven't had good enough teams to get to the super bowl except this year and last. They lost to a 49ers team that is many pundits' favorite to win it all. So let's stop this nonsense that the Cowboys choked this year and last year. That's the favorite go-to narrative that "haters" use because of their "hate" for the Cowboy's. Let's not forget that the 49ers were favored to win this last game. But if Dak doesn't throw those picks and Pollard doesn't get hurt, the underdog might have shocked many.
Lmao that opening shot at Skip Bayless? Priceless
Dak proves again and again to be a Mid-tier Quarterback that is paid big money

Rich “not making excuses for dak”
Spends 10 minutes explaining how everybody else failed while it’s a quarterback league and your paying him 40 million plus like an elite qb
Im convinced he has dak in his pocket
Josh Allen makes 46 million and played worse than Dak in the playoffs. Rodgers 50 million didn't make the playoffs. Carr 40 million getting traded. Murray 46 million missed the playoffs. Watson and Wilson 200 million plus contracts both sucked this year.
@@dlink6422 And all of these teams are at home. I'm not seeing how this helps Dak. He was bad this year. He just wasn't seeing defenses. I'm not sure what changed for him. He used to be very good at avoiding turnovers.
He didn't blame everyone else. He simply said Dak wasn't the only reason. He was the main reason but the Cowboys had other problems: Pollard's injury took away probably their main threat. Who is left after him other than Lamb?
@@Just1Bum Exactly. Take Dak's main weapons away (hell any QB's main weapons) & they'd struggle just like Dak.
Your $40 million a year QB needs to be the difference maker when your RB goes down...and Pollard hasn't even gotten paid...Pollard shouldn't be the difference maker...your $40 million a year QB should be.

"Very specific example of what you are not going to do" - classic 😂
Rich taking that shot at skip 😂😂
He was throwing silos lol
oops :D
They should never have paid DAK that money.
Pollard getting injured was out of the Cowboys control, concerns over the field goal kicker were there, but Dak was easily most responsible for the loss. Not only did he miss some big throws, like the late throw to Galloway. But his two interceptions were absolute killers. One gave the niners 3 points, the other in the red zone took away points from the Cowboys. Plus it gave the niners one more possession before the half in which they scored another 3 points. That was the difference in the game. The Dallas defense was outstanding.
Dak reminds me of Carr. As a raider fan we watched a mediocre qb for 9 yrs. He had 9yrs to do something. Him and Dak are the only qbs who can play mediocre for more then 5 yrs and still be the starting qb for the franchise.
Alex Smith lol
But who else should Dallas get? The Commanders, Saints, Titans, Jets, Panthers, Pats(?), Broncos, Texans, Colts, Rams(?), Fins(?), all looking for a qb? Dak is established. Dallas won't get better via the draft. Dak's the man for atleast two more seasons. But as bad as things seem now, Dallas is right there with Philly and the Niners. We're not the Vikings. We're better and we are a possible Tony Pollard injury away from dominating San Francisco.
I say load the wagons with ammo again and make another run. If Zeke can't get better, the kid Malik Davis will be a year older and he's a Tony Dorsett starter kit IMO.
@@noeltaylor3594 Dominating? You were hanging in the game but trailing. Kyler Murray beat you guys three straight times with a liability at HC! You'll need to trade/release Prescott if you want to progress as a team.
@@noeltaylor3594 Don't kid yourself. Dak is Mediocre and HAS been Mediocre for his entire time in the NFL. He's NOT a playoff winner. @@molder2233 I still put Romo's '07 Giants game ahead of it. Last year's SF game too. Dak had an awesome season last year, so that playoff loss was an even bigger failure IMO.
Stop paying guys for what they might do and actually pay guys for what they accomplished and you won't find yourself married to an average QB. I love Rich but the Dak apologies have to end.
I'm not sure what that even means. Should they find a veteran who's won a Superbowl? How many of those are available or worth a damn now? You could probably get Flaco haha. Here's an idea, maybe draft a qb higher than the 4th round, which was actually a step up from Romo who wasn't even drafted. Jerry thinks he can find that diamond in the rough. Nevermind the fact that Troy Aikman was a number one pick
@@matthewgabbard6415 it means dont give $40,000,000 to a player who hasn't earned it. Purdy now has more playoff wins than Dak
Dak and Zeke have been there for 7 seasons. With a core group of players that are supposed to be your top guys I think you have a good idea of what to expect after 4 or 5 seasons. I'm not saying everyone wins the Superbowl in that timeframe but if you're not getting out of the division round by that point, it's clear you aren't going to and you have rethink the roster. It's very rare in any sport to see a core group underachieve year-after-year and then suddenly figure it all out in year 9 or 10. You have to acknowledge when it isn't good enough to get over the hump and shake things up.
Cowboys are a example of good mediocrity. They are good enough in the regular season but haven't been good in the playoffs when it matters most. Their window with dak was never fully open and always just cracked open enough to let people see a little light and a little fresh air in.. but ultimately in cowboys land your still smelling Jerry's old farts in the cowboy dung pile of leadership stuck telling him how great it smells.
Yesterday the 49ers beat " America's team" and they did it, for America...
U are absolutely right I’ve been saying this for 5 years
@@BobSmith-said You and me both Bob!
Not with a new coach and new players you don't know what to expect definitely need to change Kellen you're stuck with Dak for two more years and quite frankly there's nothing you can do about it cuz you don't own the cowboys you probably work at Wendy's
The Eagles reacted faster with Wentz
Those are your ints!! That's the freaking story!!
What went wrong for them yesterday? What went wrong was they had to face the best defense in the NFL with a middle of the line QB. Did anybody expect a different result?
The stupid thing about Dak's pics was he wasn't really under duress when he made his lame throws.
Thank you! Of course he played bad, SF defence played hard the entire game. And I don't think they would have done much more with Pollard in their either...SF defence is great against the run.
Dak seems to shrink in big moments.
Let's be honest..the great ones get it done, the average ones go home.
Bingo
Baloney. Look at his playoff stats. They're not hall-of-fame level they're also not evidence that he "shrinks" in big games. He played very well against the Bucs the previous week. You will probably say, "But the Bucs suck". When other QBs dominate teams like that, they're given credit. Do the same for Dak. His problem this season was his interceptions. He's usually more careful with the ball but for whatever reason he wasn't this season and that was the main roadblock for the Cowboys this season.
@@Just1Bum Six and six in the playoffs. He's probably a better-than-average NFL QB. But he's not an elite or top-six QB, the sort of guy who has proven he can make the big throws in the big moments of the biggest games. With a better team around him he could win a ring, but he's not the guy who can do it with a merely decent o-line and receivers.
Cowboys' defense was amazingly fast. That certainly wasn't the problem.

Too many years of making excuses for Dak. He's always been a B+ guy, but they made the mistake of paying him like an A, and now they're stuck. Dallas is condemned to mediocracy for the next few years. I don't see them making the playoffs next year.
So the Niners' low scoring was because of the Cowboys' defense, but Dallas' low scoring was because of Dak, Pollard's injury, etc. Perspective is interesting 🤔
Well when a quarterback throws multiple interceptions in multiple games throughout the season, and he does the same against another team in the playoffs, you tend to talk about the quarterback
Niners have the best Defense in the league for a reason. That was VERY clear yesterday.
@@jaylucien669 Great defense. Yes. ButcthePollard injury gave them one less weapon to worry about for Dallas. And for all the he'll Dallas' defense caught all year, they matched San Fran yesterday.
@@noeltaylor3594 That's true and Pollard was just starting to heat up. But that's football. Our idiot coaching staff decided not to fully implement Davis and try keeping that great Niners defense honest. Malik Davis might very well be better than Tony Pollard and they didn't have him ready to go (more than 3 snaps)? That's Busch League BS. Typical modern Cowboys crap. Having said that, I will not take anything away from the SF Defense. That unit is a finely tuned machine in every area.
If Purdy would have thrown 2 interceptions, trust me he would have rightly been blamed.
There's no mystery: The Coyboy's arrogance (especially Dak's) will always do them in. They can't improve when they think so highly of themselves
Look, the culture and identity come from the top down, and we know who's at the top. I have no problem with arrogance as long as it's justified. Obviously, in this case it wasn't. But misplaced confidence and arrogance is a staple of "Jerry Culture." As long as he lives, that's the way it's gonna be.

When your QB is getting pressured, it is the Offensive Coordinators job to help him. No sprint outs called, no screens called. Kellen Moore is good when things go smooth, but he has a lot of trouble when things get tough. Dak could use a new voice at Offensive Coordinator.
Kill 2 birds with one stone by hiring Sean Payton.

Dak has had no shortage of opportunities to rise to the occasion. In other cities, he’d be acceptable. For a team printing money like Dallas, you have to aggressively go after a long stretch of a career with a Brady, Manning, Mahomes, Burrow. Dynastic or with the potential to be it.
And when did anyone last believe Dak was that guy?
Can't say all of it needs to be torn down cause that dan Quinn defense is nice

I don't know any team that is more caught in a time loop than the Dallas cowboys. Seriously.
Any1 feel free to answer this questions? Which play was worst? What the Dallas Cowboys did yesterday’s or what the New 🏴 Patriot did throwing a lateral against the Las Vegas Raiders in the regular season? 🏈🏉
Oh the patriots was still worse. I mean best case scenario, they score. What would have been the worst was time expires and go to OT…. But no, NO patriots did worse by turning the ball over and letting the raiders run it back for a game winning TD….
Cowboys couldn’t even do a Hail Mary from that far out so it was a last ditch effort where they were gonna lose anyways.
And then Skip immediately hung the jersey back up in the closet.
Bayless isn't a true Cowboys fan. It's all for show.

The Cowboys have such a predictable offense. Kellen Moore has to go.
If Dak had played like Purdy and not made mistakes the Cowboys would’ve won
If's and but's aren't candy and nuts, Private Dancer, and you're not Tina Turner, either!
Purdy was lucky Dallas defense didn't bring their hands with them in that game lol . Trevon diggs literally dropped one of the easiest interceptions you’ll ever see. There were several missed opportunities.
Dak wasn't great but Pollard getting hurt was the most significant play of the game for Dallas
He threw an interception in the red zone where the Cowboys are about to go up 13-6, with the first possession in the second half. Has nothing to do with Pollard, Its pre-snap reads.. His interceptions are thrown before the play even starts. If he didn't turn the ball over once in the game, they win.
It was not ideal to see Pollard go down because you always want the best from your opponent (unless you're a Dallas Radio Host, of course....), but SF has been starting their QB3 for the last 2 months. I'm not heartbroken to see Dallas falter for not having depth. SF overcame the obstacle and is thriving... let's not make excuses for Dallas.
Cowboys defense was perfect, but the offense interceptions were the killers.
Damn near 100%
