I genuinely loved romancing Cassandra. It felt so natural & it showed so much character depth for her. She wasnt just the stoic badass woman with an amazing accent I instantly liked. She liked poetry & romance & wanted to be loved & treated like a woman. It was really cool discovering that. She's my favorite romance in the DA series so far personally.

peebee was kinda nice but yeah those romances werent the best, I am also hoping that DA 4 wont be shit and I really hope they wont just delete inquisitor out of game cuz he is customizable as it was with warden from origins,although thing with hawke has been made really well when u could make him look as you wish,hope they will do something similar but also picking race,class atd,maybe a little bit of it will be made through dragon age keep

I am still a little confused as to why you don't marry the hopeless romantic in the 3rd game, If you were to ask me who I thought would marry the PC before Trespasser came out; Cassandra and Josephine would have been my first two guesses and Sera would have been one of my last.
They'd both want to do it right, not just elope.
I disagree. Jose is WAY to straite laced to elope, with noble families there is a lot that has to happen before the proposal even happens so with a Human noble Inky that would mean both families would have to met and strike a deal first; AND Jose was already engaged at one point so that would have to be worked out first as well. You're well aware that Jose would demand you go thru everything the right way.
As for Cass, it felt right that there was no Eloping for her, I'm more upset there was no way to propose to her maybe in a manner echoing the first date just to be an ultra cheese ball.
@@SoulSilverCast I ment personality-wise I would see Cassandra or Josephine marring the inquisitor way before Sara. Cassandra because she care little for her nobility and I Imagine eloping is in a lot of cheesy romance book she seems to like, Josephine because after the Duel really there is just some formal steps but ultimately would be all to willing to tie the knot (I mean a year or so passed they could have gotten married off screen). Sara she cares about having fun and thinks labels/titles are stupid. I figured she be loyal to the inquisitor but wouldn't see the point in officially marring her.
I suspect Sera's marriage was added to the game for woke virtue-signaling; you know "rah rah, yay gay marriage!" that type of thing. Case in point, Sera literally says after the wedding "That's our bells, nobbers. We frigging win!"

Marriage is usually about status and titles in Thedas, so mostly just nobility makes a small deal about it as far as I'm aware. There are some exceptions like Alienage elves. Brialla/Celine, Branka/Hespith, two grey wardens in The Calling are all examples of same sex relationships, though not marriage now that you mention it. Alistair, Sebastian, Cassandra (I think in the epilogue?), and Cullen (epilogue again?) can be married, though they're all heterosexual. I assume the question is whether it's permitted. You can marry Sera. Not sure how much that counts considering... well... Sera and her views on laws and propriety. But there you go.

If you're in a same-sex relationship (Dorian romance, Sera romance, f!Quisitor/Josie, m!Quisitor/Bull), Cassandra will think you're going to propose to them, and the fact that it's same-sex doesn't seem to be a factor. She outright encourages you to do it if you say you were thinking about it.
+Riona Daidouji There are no details about it either in the game or in the World of Thedas book, but Cassandra thinks my Inquisitor was going to propose to Dorian, so I think it must exist in some form. I'll certainly be having same-sex marriage in my fanfics ;)
I love romancing Cass, I try to romance other people when I make new playthroughs, but I’ve already romanced her twice, and I’m not promising I won’t do it again, the only way I avoided doing it my 2nd playthrough was because I was a female Lavellan lol

But fucking fate rewarded me with completly new completly unstudied illness with 24/7 touturing symptoms which will eventually kill me, so my beloved half-husband with the help of his beloved mother kicked me out in that state with the words "we need a wife who can give a child now, and we are tired to take care of you", which was surprising considering his character and considering he was my friend indeed (he was an old friend of mine as well). Still waters run deep it seems. No families, no friend- husband, no children for me - pointless dreams now anyway. I'm cursed maybe =) (So if I stop commenting it means you simply missed a funeral =)).

I get that people aren't cool with not getting to marry this lovely lady but I also kind of like that she doesn't accept the lame 'maybe we should get married' as a proposal. You don't actually ask. You just make some spur of the moment comment and she would rather have you to have thought about it. She obviously has.

I modded my elf to be extra hot and more manly and bigger than vanilla elves are in the game, still he looked fragile and too gentle next to Cass, it was awkward :) actually I always kind of felt I should pair her with Blackwall while romancing her... every time they started talking about training and sparring and proper care of swords I felt like saying "get a room" lol
