So far the 2A6.. But my 2A7V is stock. So a bit early to judge, but the DM33 is challenging to use in top tier to put it mildly.
2a7V finally a Leo that can take a hit and got some nice Thermals that wont give me crusty eyes :D
Sad that gaijin gimped it's hull armor all because some unrelated swedish test reports of a pre-leo2A5 prototype from 30 years ago said so.
Sad that Gaijin thinks only Russian tanks are allowed to have armour…

Not to play devils advocate but leopards armour kinda sucks irl? The hull composite gets defeated by APFSDS as seen when a Russian tank set a Leopards fuel on fire in Ukraine. The turret has been defeated by Lancet drones. I get that the Russian armour is bullshit but the Leopards combat record sucks.
Edit: Didn’t mention Turkish Leo’s as they are 2A4’s but they also got smashed to bits in Syria by ATGMS.
@@Rempai420 Out of all the trials done for export, the Leo 2 has always had the best armor compared to other western tanks (especially the leopards with the beak add on armor seen on the 2A7(V), 2A6HEL and STRV 122s).
So far there hasn't been any footage of the Leo 2's hull armor being penned from the front by enemy tanks. The only videos claiming to show this are russian propagandists misrepresenting it (I know what video you're referring to. If you looked closely at that video you can see it's actually some AT weapon like an RPG-7 hitting the rear fuel tank which caused fuel to spill under the tank and eventually flow out from underneath the front making it look like it got hit in the front).
Same goes for the lancets "defeating" the turret armor. So far I've only seen them manage to damage the smoke screen launchers.
Most of the ukranian war footage of leo 2s has been coming from the russian side since russia wants to downplay the effectiveness of leopards for morale and propaganda reasons and ukraine doesn't want to accidentally give away their leopard units' position and violate OPSEC.
When it comes to the turkish leopards, those were crewed by turks so it's unsurprising that they couldn't leverage the leopards to their intended potential.
@@genericamerican. M60Ts were also crewed by the Turks and they fared much better in Syria. Besides all this bullshit surrounding the Turkish use of tanks is getting annoying. Turks have been fighting in Syria for the last decade, they have made countless operations against factions that had tonns of ATGM stocks, sure they lost a dozen or so tanks but all that pales in comparison to what has been going on in Ukraine/Israel/Karabakh etc. Russia lost thousands of tanks in less than 2 years, likewise Ukraine, twitter was a shitfest when Ukraine first deployed the Leopards, in the first week they had lost quite a few Leo2s. We saw Azerbaijanis lose tens of tanks to ATGMs, same with Armenians. Lately we have been seeing constant footage of Israeli tanks getting hit/destroyed by RPG-7 type weapons from up close, we have seen militants literally walking up to Israeli tanks and placing AT mines on them. But noone hardly talks about any of these, really shows you the power of directed media… My point is one, one shouldnt expect an unmodernised 80s tank to be able to resist 2000s ATGMs, that is the exact reason why Turks have been modernising their Leo2 stocks lately and two, in battle not everything goes according to plan as can be seen from Israeli tanks getting ambushed. I have always defended APS being installed on tanks, and I still do, if it were Israeli tanks in Syria they would have fared better owing to their active protection systems on the other hand, any other faction without APS whether it would be Germans, French etc. would have fared similar to Turks, they would have lost tanks.. This is my perspective to the overall situation, backed up by evidence and statistics. It feels as if there is a huge Leopard fanboy lynch community online, when Turks lost Leopards in Syria, they lynched the Turks, when Ukrainians lost Leopards, they lynched the Ukrainians, it’s quite annoying but thats beside the point.
When it comes to WT, most of the top tier vehicles already have loads of made up stuff. One shouldnt expect it to be realistic, hence instead of waiting for non-existant evidence Gaijin should focus on making the nations more balanced.

Buddy gaijin has yet to correctly implement ANY tank period. After like rank 3 there is always something about a tank that isn’t implemented correctly and it only gets worse the more modern the tank is. You just have to accept that this game is basically just world of tanks with damage models in order to have a sliver of fun

@@lonurad1259 The turret front armour has been replaced so it should be nigh invulnerable everywhere except the mantlet against both kinetic and chemical rounds, the weight should be 66 tons instead of 62.5 and the speed should be similar to something like the Leo 2A6
@@overlordminigun6346 the mantlet is broken on all of them so I don't get that. It's literally a solid block of steel and tungsten with a bit of rubber between. Idea was to give it the same protection roughly as the cheeks. They won't give it that though because for some reason they think it needs to have a weak mantlet to be balanced even though the mantlet weak point actually affects the cheek armour as well. At that about 50% of the front of the turret is unarmoured. That's every challenger 2 and upwards though not just the challenger 3.

It was so much more exciting to unlock vehicles in low tier since they are way more unique than top tier ones. After about 8.7-9.3 it gets repetitive imo.

@@MrWorldwide00 to be fair no T90M or T80BVM has been destroyed by any opposing force tank as far as i know, pretty much all were mobility, artillery, mine, ATGM & drone kills, in case of the T90M only about 60 were lost, wich is really impressive for being on the frontline for 2 years.

And the t 90m only appeared later in the war not since the beginning. In terms of survivability and combat losses the Leopard 2 surely is the better one of the two.

Any abrams that gets shot die in one shot everywhere but turret face. No spall or better hull armor dm33 has a chance to pen and always does. Russia t90m genraly takes two or more one if your lucky. Leopard 2a7v takes two shots or more as well but can die in one hit at weird angle. All strv after 121 take longer to kill. Itsva shame really even the vt b has more survivability than anrams and leclerc as well as challenger series. Italians suffer really bad now heavier ariete no war kit bad armor poor mobility. F15a is garbage. Along with a few other planes.
Tell you what, seeing the sabot casing go flying every shot is kinda annoying, not to mention distracting
