  • In 2015, our goal was to build the most performant and affordable lidar sensors upon the foundational principle that digital technology wins. The L3 chip demonstrates the true power of digital lidar and represents a step change in sensor performance across our product lineup. Fundamentally, the chip processes light much more efficiently, yielding the single biggest improvement in sensor performance we’ve ever brought to market.

eventually but in today's market good news don't matter 🙃

Love it! Is it possible to put all 3 (OS0, OS1, OS2) on 1 single Lidar? 120 degrees apart spinning around.

That all looks pretty dope, the only thing I'd want is for the OS2 to fully support starting and operating at -30° degrees or less.

Our sensors support cold-weather operating temperatures down to -40°C

@@Ouster-lidar Yes, we were advised that the OS2 could start at that temp, but would have to warm up to operate in that range, while the other sensors could start right away. Is there any change to that statement with rev 7?

Very interesting. When will a ROS2 driver be available?

Can you talk about the lidar recordings at the beginning of the video, at the airport? Absolutely amazing! Where were the lidars mounted? Why were the lidars mounted?

So none of these lidar units has dynamic range?? What if an OEM has a requirement for near, medium, and far range for FSD? How many sensors will that require? And and what cost per??

    Whats the precision improvement quantitatively?
