I always thought that if Darcy had a more bossy and headstrong personality like Icy she could totally be the leader of the Trix or leave and become her own villain. However, Darcy always seemed like a “chill” and “go with the flow” type of person
She always struck me as the one who would be the voice of reason, if she could actually bring herself to speak up to her sisters. She doesn't seem to like fighting, and especially not against them.
Darcy for life. And to think that her dark spell poisoned the Willow's Tears river and literally drowned/killed Flora (almost to Mielle too) before the Willow reversed time and Enchantix saved her... Damn, this girl spares no one.
I miss how threatening the trix used to be. They made Regina George seem like the sweetest person alive but after season 5 i thought she'd do a better job taking over the world then them and she doesn't even have magic...actually now i kinda wanna see a winx club antagonist without powers try and take over the magic universe.
Even though season 1 offered the best Trix, I carry in my heart Trix' quest in the Cloud Tower in season 2 when they had to act from shadows. You know, when Darcy laments that they can't control the school anymore and Stormy is it just like "what about chaos energy?", I was honestly rooting for them. They were the perfect team. I enjoyed that the usually succesful Darcy's strategy was ditched for Stormy's chaotic ways, while Icy, the leader, made the decision, but did not act like a know-it-all (*cough* Bloom *cough*)
I love their powers cause they actually have named for it and i love the fact that icy is the meanest, stormy is the most ambitious(she stops at nothing to get what she wants and she thinks she’s the best) and darcy is the most laid back and doesn’t fight much even though she has one of the most unique powers which I’d love to see more
Thank you for calling out Icy's spells catalog. But I will admit she had made an interesting foil to both Bloom and Aisha as with bloom it was fire and ice, but with Aisha because ice is rigid and unyielding while morphix is fluid and versatile

Aside from Bloom there's no one from the Winx girls who can beat her one on one (except maybe Daphne, who's not really a Winx though). Icy even faced 4 Winx at once at the beginning of s3, on s2 she crushed Aisha in their fight underground (Darkar's fortress)... Only on s3 Aysha in her Enchantix form might have bested Icy, but on season 5 Icy went back to her former glory. In the library battle on s5 Icy easily froze Aysha's Morphix and almost killed Bloom. Sure, Aysha's morphix has played a few tricks on the Trix, but to me there's no question that Icy is second in power only to Bloom. It has always been like that since S1, when Icy faced Bloom 1 on 1 in their final battle and gave her a run for her money. All the Winx together weren't able to harm Bloom (in her Dark Form or in her Enchantix form), but Icy alone could give her a run for her money, that's how powerful she is (even though she is sadly underrated).

One thing that I love about the Trix is how they're absolutely ruthless. Like in episode 18 of season 1, when they steal Bloom's powers, they first go out of their way to attack and straight up bully her before doing the deed. They're the definition of pure evil and I adore it lol.

I thought it was pretty cool when Icy created the ice dragons in seasons 1, 5, and in the 2nd movie. Icy's powers can be depicted in very creative ways if they had tried to think about it. Why not have Icy create various ice constructs as Aisha does with her Morphix? Frostbite, snow blind, frozen tundra, etc. Same thing for Stormy. Why not a spider-web in the shape of lightning? Rain of needles or knives? A cloud of poison? Heck, give her some awesome "airbender"-esqued attacks! A wheel of wind, razor disc of swirling air that could slice and dice? I swear, fans can come up with a lot of creative spells and attacks for these characters than just the generic blast!
I'm honestly surprised Icy didn't get any spells that used snow, like a snowball that has a core of ice or a snowball that suddenly freezes you when it hits a part of your body. Hell, they could have made it to where Icy could have have snow on the ground that suddenly freezes or turns into ice spikes! There was so much they could have done with all the Trix really.
@@iztime6500 Icy's powers have so much AOE and Crowd Control potential it's a crime they didn't implement ideas like that. Snow Storm does sound awesome! Hell, combine Icy's and Stormy's powers together and you could get Frozen Tornados, Cold Chain Lightning, Freezing Rain, Hail Storms, and so on!

I honestly don't understand why the writers, especially Iginio Straffi didn't let the Trix keep their shapeshifting witches' transformation. Instead, they came back in their original fighting outfits in season 8 like they at least could've come back in their Dark Witch outfits.
Trix deserve better. I loved them at the beginning they were really powerful and evil especially when they took Bloom's powers (my fav arc) but later on in the series they become too easy to beat and lose their relevancy.
On s2 they were unbeatable. On s3 they got a very harsh treatment. However after s5 they kinda went back to their former glory. On S8 they are very well matched with the Winx (on s7 too, they almost destroyed them in the final episode).

Honestly despite they aren’t really threatening in S3 because DisEnchantix unfortunately appeared at the tail end of the season, I found it hilarious them actually getting catty and fighting with each other over Baltor while he was literally pitting them against each other for his own entertainment. I actually would’ve LOVED to see them use the Whisperian Crystals and DisEnchantix in an attempt to control his Dragon Flame for being such a jerk towards them, figuring out he enjoyed watching them fight over him.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention 2 iconic (imo) icy moments in season 1 episode 20 the first one being when Icy's head appears in the sky, she cackles and breathes lightning, striking the school again and sets the stables on fire and the second one being when she blasts a stream of ice, manifested as the Great Dragon, which encircles the school turning it into a huge block of ice. The top of the ice block cracks and slides down, crashing onto the ground. Regardless, I really appreciate you and your winx content, I get unhealthily excited every time you upload about my childhood (and current) fantasy

I've always thought that Darcy has the best power out of the Trix. It's because her powers lie in darkness which allows them to have nearly endless potential. Too bad the writers are too lazy to come up with creative ideas for her spells.
Hmmmmm... Gloomix probably got destroyed, either by Darkar getting defeated or by them literally using too much energy to fuse into the megatrix and having to sacrifice it for that. And disenchantix was probably broken by the winx or Valtor taking it back to conserve power...
Gloomix got fused into Megatrix, and because Lord Darkar/Shadow Fire was ultimately destroyed that meant Gloomix didn’t exist anymore. Unfortunately DisEnchantix was simply erased by Enchantix fairy dust, forever bitter we didn’t get an ultimate showdown because the Trix looked so sexy and badass.
I always found it disappointing that we never got a "long lost fairy sister" for Icy to further her foil to Bloom. Especially after Roxy was introduced and Bloom's sister was rescued, it felt like a natural progression for a fairy of snow/winter to show up and create character tension for the Trix. It could genuinely lead to a resolution for the original show's plot if Icy had to come to grips with "witches and fairies are two sides of the same coin," especially after the the pumpkin witch became a fairy.
I gotta be honest, especially in the first seasons I really loved how dangerous their spells look, how creative their spells seemed at times. This became less and less interesting by the season.
You know what would be cool, if somehow there was a video on the winx as specialists and what their abilities would be and the specialists as the 'winx' and what their fairy powers would be. This video was also great btw! 💙💜🖤
What do you mean by this? Thomas has already done that with the ranked fairy transformations video, in which one the aspects he talks about is the appearance of the forms. So that would be redundant on his part. And if you're talking about the outfits the Winx wear in normal form, he's already done several videos on that too.
You didn't mention four surprising abilities used by Darcy: Season 1, episode 3: she stomps in the ground and opens a fissure. Either she has a super strength spell, or she has one to open a fissure in the ground. Season 1, episode 8: healing spell. Yes, from a witch. Season 1, episode 9: after multiplying, she does SOMETHING to Musa. It was painful enough that in season 3 Musa panicked and froze when it seemed Darcy was about to do it again. Season 3, episode 10: HELLFIRE. Bloom couldn't put it off...
One thing I've always hated in the series is how on average The Trix are clearly more powerful and better fighters than the Winx but the writers nerf them because the Winx always to have to win in the end
Tbf,while they shouldn't nerf the villians and show them as competent fighters and planners,it makes sense that the Winx slowly got more experienced over time at fighting the Trix.Especially with how much the Trix tend to show up even when they shouldn't.

Especially after Roxy was introduced and Bloom's sister was rescued, it felt like a natural progression for a fairy of snow/winter to show up and create character tension for the Trix. It could genuinely lead to a resolution for the original show's plot if Icy had to come to grips with "witches and fairies are two sides of the same coin," especially after the the pumpkin witch became a fairy.
well, Mirta was a ver interesting plot, that was dropped, and who knows, maybe we can see sapphire apearing as a snow fairy later

I had straight crush on Darcy when I was a kid and then Valtor happened.
I gotta be honest, especially in the first seasons I really loved how dangerous their spells look, how creative their spells seemed at times. This became less and less interesting by the season.
I don't know why but i always imagined Icy summoning a giant ice bird to fight Bloom's dragon.
You know what would be cool, if somehow there was a video on the winx as specialists and what their abilities would be and the specialists as the 'winx' and what their fairy powers would be. This video was also great btw! 💙💜🖤

Honestly, Stella seems more fitting of illusions than Darcy
Where they are foils of each other as both Darcy and Stella are both visual especially seeing how both of them can blind opponents

What do you mean by this? Thomas has already done that with the ranked fairy transformations video, in which one the aspects he talks about is the appearance of the forms. So that would be redundant on his part. And if you're talking about the outfits the Winx wear in normal form, he's already done several videos on that too.

You didn't mention four surprising abilities used by Darcy:
Season 1, episode 3: she stomps in the ground and opens a fissure. Either she has a super strength spell, or she has one to open a fissure in the ground.
Season 1, episode 8: healing spell. Yes, from a witch.
Season 1, episode 9: after multiplying, she does SOMETHING to Musa. It was painful enough that in season 3 Musa panicked and froze when it seemed Darcy was about to do it again.
Season 3, episode 10: HELLFIRE. Bloom couldn't put it off...

One thing I've always hated in the series is how on average The Trix are clearly more powerful and better fighters than the Winx but the writers nerf them because the Winx always to have to win in the end
Tbf,while they shouldn't nerf the villians and show them as competent fighters and planners,it makes sense that the Winx slowly got more experienced over time at fighting the Trix.Especially with how much the Trix tend to show up even when they shouldn't.

Maybe it would've been better if Faragonda AND Griffin both showed up to help as experienced fighters,but you're acting like they beat them entirely on their own. As for the rest,would it be more believable to you if they had to find out a weakpoint of the villians and they planned around that instead?
