This is a fundamental, like it is a key part of a movement in the US and UK. This is literally a classic. If you are in a club that plays this kind of music and the DJ drops it they know the roots. This was like when everything was Rave / House and Happy Hardcore. I didnt even do drugs (Like MDMA) but I would go to raves to feel the energy. It is still burned into my music identity.

Just turned 63 , lived through the finest musical decades, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Thanks to John Peel I started to get into house and trance in the mid 90's and on new years eve1999 I went to meet a mate of mine to get some acid.. He couldn't get any but asked me if I'd be interested in a pill instead. After Old Lang Syne I was walking home and happened to be walking past a nightclub and could hear the beat through the walls so I went inside. It was the start of 3 years of pills and being the first on the dance floor and the last off and this amazing track was part of that journey. To say I feel privileged is an understatement..

I've spent the last nineteen years listening to the melodic drone of these synthesizers in my head, wondering if I would ever find the source. The last time I heard this track, I stood glassy-eyed stoned, looking over a balcony at a dance floor in a twenty-four hour night club on the seedy back streets of midtown Atlanta. I found myself knee deep in a bad trip trying not to lose my shit when time up and stopped on me. I stood outside myself looking at - me - and thinking, "I might be dead". I could feel nothing, I could hear nothing, as all went silent. Everyone on the dance floor below stood still, like department-store manikins. After what seemed like an eternity, I could hear this track playing slowly and quietly in the distance. And then, as if someone abruptly pressed PLAY, like botched animations, everyone on the dance floor slowly began to move again, as this track began screaming louder and louder up to the DROP, and then all in the club resumed whatever state of equilibrium was considered normal to me before this junction. I shook my head violently and said to myself, "Dear god, I've got to get the hell out of here".
