Excellent video, thanks! My girl is still alive!
Thank you very much. Glad to hear your bees still alive. Good job👍
Really nice bees. And they look like our bees. The carnies back home. They will explode now with the real pollen... bit će rana sezona. I ovdje je rano počela.
Slazem se sa vama. Ovo vreme stvarno nije normalno. Sad imamo ponovo zahladjenje narednih nekoliko dana. Prosla godina je bila susa katastrofa. Nadam se da ce ova biti bolja. Veliki pozdrav za vas.
Thank you for a quick response.
Your bees look good. You have some nice gentle bees - better than mine. LOL Hope the weather doesn't get to cold on the last of March.
Hi Russell 👋
Looks like cold weather is coming back. Next week, the forecast upper 30's 😔 Bees look pretty good coming out of winter
looking good. They really like that spring patty. We just need better weather. In a couple of weeks it will be really busy. I need to check your long frames, I didn't know you use those.
Thank you Sanel! This was a trial on some of my hives. I used two double deep frames in the middle of the box to avoid isolation starvation and other things. I am pretty satisfied with the results. Will make videos pretty soon how they performed. Pozdrav!
Great video 👍, I started using ziplock bags like you for my powder sugar patties too, works better than using parchment paper. I’ve been using apple cider vinegar in my mix too. All my hives survived this easy winter 👍
Hi Brian 👋
I'm glad to hear all your bees survived the winter. I just saw the first dandelion yesterday. Bees bringing lots of pollen. We are getting really close
Your hives look great. Just a suggestion with the double deep frame of capped honey, you could uncap that honey and put it back in the hive. The bees will clean it out and use the frame for brood. Otherwise the congestion will cause swarming.
Yes, I agree but we have bad weather coming next week we don't want to disturb them too much. My plan is to take out that double deep completely and save it for overwintering and instead use a drawn comb frame to give queen more room. Good suggestion. Thank you 🐝
Marijan Kovačević pulls the double frames out sometimes over the summer and keeps them all together in hives made for that. Probably when the flow starts so he can go to single brood box management
Yes, that's a good idea. It would be really hard to do inspections and splits with those frames inside the hives.
Great looking Hives! Thanks for sharing
Thank you 🐝
Hi what kind of bees do you have Great Nature thanks
I started with New World Carniolan Queens long ago, and now I raise my own survival stock. Thank you 🐝
Where are you. Just wondering what climate is.
Northern Iowa
Do bees get killed when inspecting the boxes? like when you put the frames back?
Usually, they don't. We are very careful when handling frames, especially frames with queens.
@@silverlakeadventure Thanks for reply. Was curious about that from watching many other similar videos.
