As a reminder guys, the pump I'm giving away is the Melling M342HV a 20% higher volume pump for the 2003-08 5.7 hemi and the 2006-2010 6.1 Hemi engines only! Thank you for watching I appreciate it!
Question answered
Oddly enough out of those engines listed only the 2009 and 2010 6.1 has lifter failure problems, guess what, they didn't reduce the pump volume but they did change the lifters!

Nice positive informative video!😊
Melling, Love the info you put out on this channel. No one caters to us Hemi folks like you do.
High volume oil pumps were a standard upgrade for as long as I can remember. Anyone rebuilding an engine or transmission or any other mechanical device will always look to make its performance better, more efficient, with minimal increases in costs.
It’s good to see this pump appear. I’ll definitely make this upgrade, it just makes sense.
Melling! Great information! Thanks for looking out for all of us Hemi gearheads!
Informative video on hemi engines is what I need! Sharing your videos are lifesaving. I appreciate it when you give us advice like using Melling products to minimize the tick issue. Having a channel like yours make our lives much easier. Thanks for sharing your advice!
Awesome news!! Thanks for everything you do for us Hemi owners :-)
This channel and the support the 3rd gen hemi gets from companies like Melling in the aftermarket really make it a platform to be excited about! Hoping the twincharged big boy can perform soon!
Melling, man I appreciate all the hard work and information you give out to us gen 3 hemi owners.
Melling
you have no idea how much I have learned from your videos. thank you for sharing your knowledge,
Melling, Your videos have been really helpful, looking to possibly do a cam install on my challenger soon and your install videos have been just what I need!
Melling
Appreciate your effort on trying to find a solution to this!! Just had a cam lifter job done to fix the tick definitely adding this to my list!!
Melling.
Thanks for all you do and your videos have been a big help with my Ramcharger project.
Awesome! Can't wait to see the comparison video. Would also love to see how Melling's other hemi products perform. I am looking at doing some upgrades to my 6.4 charger some time this year so any new info helps! Great vids!
That is awesome Sky, great information and great to know Melling has that option!
Thanks for the update. Melling has always made great products.
Already bought mine a while back with melling because of your channel but mine is for a 05. Keep it up, love the content 👍
Melling
Thanks for all you do !!
Melling. Followed your Challenger 6.4 cam build and doing the same thing on my Ram. Thanks for the content
MELLING FTW!
Putting together parts for my early gen3 hemi build right now for 4.7 to 5.7 swap in my 04 Durango! This channel has been such a wealth of knowledge cheers!
Thanks for this. Perfect timing as I am building up a 5.7 with a Procharger on my channel, I just placed an order for this Melling pump.
Love ur content, watched ur channel religiously and successfully rebuilt my ram 5.7,so thank you
Melling!!! Would be awesome to finally get that on my 6.1, I had a lifter failure earlier this year and did the whole cam swap in my driveway, using your videos to help me through it all. Thanks for the info and chance!
Recently found your channel while looking for info on the eagle cylinder head swap. I have a 2007 Magnum that will eventually get a turbo. I was going to put a Melling HV oil pump on it, So this would be a great start to the build. Thanks for sharing all of this great info!!!
Melling!
Down here in México I pay for the pump and also tax and import fees along with shipping so that would be a really sweet addition to my 6.1, so thank you for giving me a chance and also for keeping us informed on these upgrades, you the MVP💪
Melling!
Love your videos and the wisdom you provide!
Just ordered one and it’s on back order until January 4th! Seems like a lot of people are getting this! Thank you reignited 🙏🏽
Well thank you sky and thank you melling. Im going to be doing my cam swap soon and if i couldnt get a hellcat pump i was going to settle for an oem replacement but now that this is an option i know what im doing. Not only a better pump but its cheaper so im sold
ive learned a lot from your channel, im about to upgrade my own hemi using your videos. cam, lifter, exhaust, oil pump, mds delete, everything using your videos as reference
Melling.
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for doing them and evaluating the Hemi tick issues.
What’s the tick from
Melling
Thanks for all the information. Love the channel. Encouraged to do much more of my own work on my Hemi
I got my 5.7 rebuild and mechanic said with our crazy cold temperatures he didn't recommend it. I was all set to put in a hellcat pump but he couldn't find one anyway or it would have taken a long time. Anyway, After I got my engine rebuild with cam and lifters on my 2015 2500 I also needed rockers and push rods because they were worn out. Also threw in a timing chain for good measure. When I picked up my truck I looked at the old parts to find out that the lifters didn't fail at all but the cam was deteriating and took the rollers out too. So. I came to the conclusion that it was oil failure to me. Now I switched to 5w30 synthetic plus Lucas and the engine even sounds better then she ever did. THnks for your great videos!
This is really good news. Thank you Reignited and thank you Melling for providing us more info and better options for our Gen 3 Hemis. Its a big help. Love to win that pump for my upcoming project project.
Melling, I have been doing a lot of research on rebuilding a 2008 ram 1500 5.7 motor with 270k that I just received from a family member. I have only rebuilt 1 other engine over a decade ago so I was really set on getting any info I could. After watching all your videos, I have to say I am really confident that I will be able to rebuild this engine with no problems and think that I will be preventing the common issues or at extending the life of the engine with one of these high-volume pumps after listening to your explanations. without that I probably would have just assumed it was b.s. from companies just trying to sell a product that really doesn't work as well as they claim.
Melling Performance, I just did a total rebuild on my 5.7 hemi gen 3 2005 Grand Cherokee. That pump would be a great upgrade to keep my engine running like new. Thanks for your videos and information.
Awesome video! I’ve had my Hellcat oil pump on my ‘13 Durango for almost two months and no check engine light.
Mellig. I have purchased 2 10342HV after learning this from you.
Thanks for sharing. Because my next build is a 2013 Hemi.
Melling. My efforts into trying to keep my sixth gen 6.1 charger alive are thanks to your informative videos. Happy 2024!!!
Melling, just found your channel.
Recently purchased my first 2008 300 “SRT Design”. Close to 200,000 with impeccable maintenance schedule. I am noticing lifter tick on startup. So before things go south any further I’m looking into ways to improve and replace. Can’t wait to view more videos.
Thanks for the info
Can't wait for the comparison between the Melling vs the Hellcat pump.
The Melling oil pump for the Hemi engines is Cool for @Melling to come out with! I hope they decide to work with you! Your experience sharing with these Hemi engines is a valuable resource for everyone!🙏
Melling! Thanks for the video. I go with the Melling water pumps for the 5.7 also, one of the few places I will use aftermarket instead of OEM
Melling.
Thanks for all you do Sky.
Cool! Thanks for the info. I will eventually make the swap. For anyone with a Hemi, till you can make this swap, it's probably a good idea to avoid letting it sit idling (not hard for me, I never really did that in the first place). Avoid drive-thrus (I hate them!...always have) and if stuck in crawling traffic, rev the car up to ~1500 rpm every so often just to get some oil on the lifters and cam.
Melling (in case the drawing is pending 😅). I do want to say thank you so much for the knowledge you share and all the comparison videos. Most mechanics in my area jump to the "fixes" that are unrelated to the issue.., I've also been to some who solely want to replace the lifters and call it a day. If I'm fixing it, I want to start at the root and in one go. So thank you!
I have used melling in all of my builds, never had a problem.
Melling
Thanks again for the new product update. Love the content keep up the good work.
Hemi's to the front 👊
Thank you for your help with this long lasting issue that Ram should have addressed!
Melling
Very cool I've used melling pumps in the past & they work great & keep oil pressure at operating temp as good as stock pumps do cold
Always used them on my LA hot rod engines back in the day!! My Lil Red and Aspen R/T 360 and 340’s got them and are still running!
Melling. Cheers to any winner, Iove the updates and post as always!
Melling
Looking forward to seeing your builds.
Melling. Love the channel. Long time subscriber. Keep up the great content.
Melling!
Thank you for the videos! Excellent stuff!
Melling its a sign was just looking into getting a high volume pump for my 04 good luck to all and thanks for the video
So that confirms what you should as an option to avoid that code in your previous video. In that video you showed how to make an resistor lead to lower the reading to the PCM. You mentioned another viewer who mentioned that using a stock spring in the Hellcat pump would do it as well. You had no proof of how well that would work...till now. If Melling is recommending it, then I'm sure they completely tested it. Awesome video!!
First and foremost, credit when credit due, you must have one of the best channels as far as hemis are concerned in my opinion. Straightforward and direct in all manners and senses. I'm curious where your location is as I would possibly consider bringing my RAM truck in for some work. Let me know? Also wondering if there's a direct line to pick your brain on some options for my 5'7 in my 19 RAM classic
Melling. Thanks for your videos, very good analysis and knowledge!
Melling
Love your videos, and all the awesome info you give to the community. 💪
I have been watching you for awhile now, And appreciate your expertise on all these Hemi engines. I am a old school motor head from the Gary Worth Chrysler Plymouth days in Gladstone Or. I would love to put one of these M342HV pumps on my 2006 5.7 Ram. Thank You for your time ! God bless America ! Have a Merry Christmas ! Kurt V.
Great content. Thanks for all the info. Keep the videos coming
Thank you for all your efforts
Thanks for a good review of this product!
Melling. Just about to do a rebuild and build up my 05 300c, so hyped this product now exists!
Can't wait for the install. I have an 06 Magnum SRT8. Melling

This channel is a gem, great content as always.
God Bless you and Melling. Keep em coming.
Melling. I have a 2006 Dodge ram Hemi and 2019 Challenger 6.4 hemi so been watching your vids on these HP pumps. Thanks
Melling! I have 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 5.7 Hemi, which would probably benefit from it! Thank you Sky for the great content!
Melling!
Great video as always. Thanks for doing the Lord’s work to fight the Hemi tick!
Melling ! Thanks again for sharing good info with us!
Thanks greatly. Have ordeted mine from Summit. My recently purchased 13,400 miles Grand Cherokee will havevit fitted as soon as it arrives. Will also use a good racing grade 5w-30 racing oil changed every 3,000 miles.
Thanks for excellent explanations.
Great information I'm seriously considering getting this pump I have a 2013 Ram with only 31k I'm retired don't drive far anymore but I don't want any lifter problems so far none yet
Melling Thank you!!!
Hats off to you and Melling!
That's awesome!! I want one when I overhaul my engine
Melling! Love the content and the great at info!! keep it up!!!
Great video, love the channel.
Which spring would you use if you turned off the MDS but kept the VVT on an aftermarket cam?
Melling. Thanks for the update!
Melling Melling MELLING I love the videos I first started watching two years ago when I to my 08 Dodge 2500. It developed a minor tick last year and I just haven't had the time or money to get it fixed. Watching your videos has really helped me understand the 5.7 hemi. I plan to get a cam and lifters by the end of next year with a high volume oil pump. the truck has 207K on it.
Hey excellent tutorial
Melling is the way to go
I would go with a High Volume pump , cam and lifters.
A Melling pump would be awesome for my 6.1 I really enjoy your videos as a Mopar guy. Keep up the great content. Cheers!
Melling...love the videos, subscribed after the first one I saw. I personally have a 2012 300s however Im tasked to keep my grandma's first gen 300 going and she could really use their pre 2009 pump as she does tons of idling. Either way I'll be letting Melling know that you sent me when I can afford to buy one.
Awesome! Please give us an oil pump install video!
Great video thank you for all the good info
Awsome … need this on my 06 srt8 , melling performance all the way
Will be buying these Melling pumps soon for either my charger and or Ram 1500 thanks 💯
You are the best. Thanks for the great videos.
Melling. Your videos are very helpful!
Melling. Thanks for showing the model number for the early gen III
I've used melling hv oil pumps on both my builds. An plan on using the melling m342hv again on my next build. Great content as always 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
The telegram bots have found me! I've truly made it 😂. Please do not reply to these!
Great video! Will more volume/pressure cause issues with rings?
Melling.
Great content. Thanks for the information.
Melling blessing for our hemi idling time oil dressing
Melling
I would like to see more of their versions for the lifters and camshafts please.
Thanks for your content brother! 😤💪🏽
I have the Melling 342HV in my 300C, and I used the high pressure spring. I do get 80+ PSI oil pressure at startup, and once it warms up, its about 38 PSI at idle, 60-70 while driving. I used the high pressure spring because I have eagle heads and a cam.
Same numbers here on 5 different builds, all 05 and 06’s …kept the MDS, no codes on any of them due to high oil pressure
Melling thanks for the great info as always
MELLING--Thanks for the Hemi info, I am gathering parts to do an Eagle Head swap on my 02 Dakota. I Hemi swapped the Dakota a few years ago and it's my daily driver. The 5.7 was removed from a 05 Durango and it has about 180k miles on it and it's starting to feel it's age. After following your videos I did a cam/lifter/Hellcat pump upgrade on my 2014 Ram. I like the Eagle power so much better than the early 5.7 that it just seems natural that the Dakota would benefit from the Eagle heads/intake/pitons, 6.1 cam and Eagle exhaust manifolds. Thanks!
Thank you for these videos. Very informative. In your opinion would raising the idle RPM while using the stock oil pump provide the same benefit as upgrading to a higher volume pump? Thanks again!
A Melling pump would be awesome, I am planning a build for my 68 Cuda using a pre-09 5.7.
