    It's amazing how different the sound is compared to Spitfire symphonic Brass. Both were recorded at the same space but the overall recording perspective is different.

    Sadly nearly all of these libraries are way out of our price range in New Zealand as you have to double the cost.... it becomes way way to exspensive sadly.

    • @Transform108
      @Transform108 Před 2 měsíci

      whoa why is that?

    • @CampbellDownie

      @@Transform108 because the exchange rate is crazy against the Euro or the USD dollar, plus you get fees added to your purchase on top of that... a 399 USD library ends up costing us $652 NZ dollars and if its Euros then its $698 plus fees !!!! so its mad that everything is always in USD, it means for us its super exspensive and we cant afford it

      Oh no :( that is not great to hear!

      @@thesampleist Yes, we get hit down here on all plugins and software, so we have to use cheap or free libraries or save heaps. You can imagine things like the new Spitfire Abbey Road strings are just way out of our range. You can buy a car with the price we pay for that one. Hahahaha, it would cost us over $2000 all up. The manufacturers forget about the exchange rates in our current climate, and I think they lose business because of it. Also subscriptions dont help that much because when the dollar changes our prices go up and up... i just cancelled Izotope and Waves, just not worth it now for the money.

    great video! Thank you. May I know what libraries are you using for strings and WW in this composition please ?

      Hello! We don’t normally show other developers in the videos but feel free to contact me via our slightly out of date website! There is Modus, Ark 1,2 and 3 in this one from OT! :)

    I'm considering buying Beaufort to supplement Spitfire Symphonic Brass, since they were both recorded in Lyndhurst Hall. Do they match closely enough to be treated like one library? Like, if I played a Beaufort trumpet marcato followed by a Spitfire sustain, would it sound like the same guy played it (as long as I set their mics alike)? Or, are Spitfire's and Orchestral Tools's seating and recording methods too different from each other?

      There are always a lot of ways to mix them as close as possible using reverbs & EQs, so don’t worry

      Grab Cinematic Studio Brass instead, way better value! Beaufort is a one trick pony (I own it) and still you have to know what you are doing to make it shine. At 17:18 you can hear how it sounds like your average fake brass... not good at all.

      @@clarenceoveur9497cheers for the comment! Out of interest, in what way does it make you think it sounds fake? At the time you stamped it is just strings and woods.

      Definitely not. But you can use both simultaneously for sure (SSB is a mess tho)

      @@clarenceoveur9497CSB is impossible to mix and lacks any sort of depth to its recordings, I'd definitely grab Beaufort instead, esp after working with CSB for many years
