Managed to fix the audio issue. OBS wouldn't detect it as an audio input because windows needed to allow OBS to access it. Working fine now!
Does it overheat cause I have the exact capture card?
Haven't overheated yet, but it got pretty warm to the touch after an hour or so of use

I figured out the audio issue for Xbox folks.. make sure you change your Xbox audio settings to play through headset and speakers at the same time and then you should get volume from your capture card to obs
If I'm playing on 120 fps would I still be able to use 120 fps on my main display?

I have this capture card, it does support 1080 60fps. All the work comes from your PC graphics card. I tested this on both my laptop and my gaming PC. For the crappy laptop I can get 852x480 60fps, 1280x720p 24fp, 1920x1080 24fps. On my gaming PC I get 720p 60fps, 1080p 60fps, 1440p 60fps, 4k 24fps. All the work comes from the graphics card so you can't really blame the product. For the crappy laptop if you wanna live stream I recommend 360p 60fps or 480p 60fps. Don't sleep on 480p, it's still one of my favorite resolution. It's the bare minimum to actually see everything. 360p is the default resolution for CZcams on a cellphone anyways so 480p is good to upload. That's the reality, most people watch CZcams on a cellphone 😂
Yeah I saw the amazon reviews crapping on it saying the 1080p 60fps is a lie, when in reality their devices are too weak to render it. And yeah phones screens are still too common 😂 meaning people don't really care about resolution to begin with

@@Fxttz It's worth it for the price. Keep in mind, most people watch CZcams on a cellphone anyway. On a phone the minimum resolution is 480p or 360p. You can do 720p no problem with this device.
I have the same card. Bought it on amazon. It works well except for the audio. Quality is poor. Lot of noise and 1 channel mono thru hdmi. I cant get it in stereo. If anyone has a similar issue with it? And if there is a solution i would like to know.

I got this yesterday, and it's working aside from the audio. There is audio in OBS but the quality is horrible. It dounds choppy, high-picthed and distorted :(

Honestly I haven't really used it much over the past year. I mainly bought it to record Nintendo Switch gameplay but got lazy and never ended up recording much haha. I definitely need to use it a lot more to give a proper verdict on it, but I don't really have much to record at the moment!

Did you need anything extra to connect a headset? do i just plug my xbox headset in the headset icon on the capture card and the chat will still hear me ?

Bro, why do we need a TV to connect the switch on the PC??
The switch still connects to the TV, not the PC. The capture card allows the PC to record what is bypassing through the capture card is all

Mine still working pretty good. I haven't been using it long term tho, only once in a while and only for an hour or so. Give it a try!

My pc doesn’t have a type c input. Does that mean I can’t use it?
It also has a USB A output so you can use that. I just use type c because I ran out of type a ports on my laptop

@@brisight6987 It's a little weird with the USB A, sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I prefer to use USB C anyway
@@thekaydubz Did you figure anything out about the USB A issue? I don't have a type C port. Using the A, OBS will recognize it as an audio source but not video.
Same. My laptop has USB-C ports but only three...and one is taken up by the power cord! I don't have USB-Cs galore. I tried pulling the USB into my 10-port splitter, and OBS sees it but it doesn't seem to display anything. I'll try USB-C as a test to see if that's the problem, but if it is I'm sort of up the creek. Lack of connection is the biggest problem with modern laptops; we have so much to connect to it.

You need a good hdmi spilter in that case so you have low latency probably another $30 on that especially if you want hdmi 2.0
@@zestplays Question I want to play on my Chromebook only Ill use a web app to cast the screen but do I need a better capture card to lessen lag between my inputs? I have a pretty cheap one thats kinda bad with certain titles. But I heard that getting a spiter would help.

@@tommyg4842 You’re trying to capture on a Chromebook? I would not suggest an Elgato as it would probably cost the same as the Chromebook you have two options 1) Get a cheap capture card and use it you don’t need a splitter just set it to mirror in settings so that you can use your Chromebook and it records
@@tommyg4842 2) Your best option is to use the inbuilt recording on Chromebook by Press Shift + Ctrl + Show windows .
In the menu at the bottom, select Screen record .
Select an option:
Record the full screen .
Record a partial screen .
Record a window .
To stop recording, at the bottom right, select Stop recording .

Yeah it had to do something with my Windows needing to allow OBS access
Mine stoped working after 1 recording
