Hats off to neeraj as he was nursing an injury during this olympics and still won a silver medal for us...
India's performance :
1. 6 medals ( 1 🥈 and 5 🥉 )
2. 6 players finished at 4th position
3. 1 player got disqualified
4. 1 player got injured and she was winning her bout.
5. In boxing God knows how points were given. An indian boxer dominanted round 1, won another round with a slightly higher margin. Yet he was declared a losing side.
Special mention : meera bai chanu .. finished fourth by lifting 111 kg in clean and jerk. In the past her best performance was 117 kgs in clean n jerk event. She lost the 3rd position by a margin of 1 kg.
She couldn't perform well because she had a hip surgery. Had she lifted 117 kg in clean n jerk, she would have finished at 2nd with a lift of 206 kgs just next to china who lifted 207 kgs.
