I guess every person has their own way. I’ve watched a few videos and it showed cutting the plant 4-squares long, then planting one whole square leaving the other 3 squares above the dirt. Moisten soil before planting. Now I’m not sure which way to go but thank you and I will just try two ways and see what happens.

I'm glad I read through all the different comments bcus, although this is a nice video, it doesn't/didn't explain very much at all, atleast it didnt explain much to me anyways😊 (i.e-what type of soil, how much water, when to water, how to mist, when to transplant into different soil, or why exactly did the starting soil in the beginning of the video and replanting after it grew new roots were different soil types etc.etc). I recently bought a "Christmas Cactus" and don't know much about them at all whatsoever tbh, but I keep noticing new pieces of it have been randomly falling off Including new buds themselves seem to also be falling off on their own. As in, the past couple mornings since I've brought it home from the store (bought it about 3-maybe 4 days ago. Not sure if I got it Monday or Tuesday lol, but its now Friday and everyday that I've had it, I've noticed new leaves with or without buds have just fell off for no apparent reason, this morning I noticed a nice sized flower bud was randomly laying on the table next to the Cactus, no leaf on it, just a good sized bud that broke/fallen off laying there by its lonesome self). It does sit on a table semi close to the front door, that often has to be shut pretty hard as it sumtimes likes to be difficult to get to shut and latch. It is currently cold here in Ohio, could the draft from shutting the front door be causing pieces of my new Cactus to randomly fall off? To dry and needs watered etc? (Again nice video, but it needs More details - preferably verbal descriptions would be a bit more helpful esp for newbies like myself, whom are/might be wondering how/what to do with the pieces that've fallen/dropped off their Cactus's, or curiously wondering if they can get said peices to root and possibly become new plants themselves, should they be put in water for propagation or some sort of soil etc.etc). Also, reading through the comments seem to lead towards thinking that my new "Christmas Cactus" is possibly or actually a "Thanksgiving Cactus" instead of a Christmas one. I'll Def look up more videos to learn the difference and how to care for it etc.

They removed the cuttings from the initial soil mixture in the pot when enough roots had developed to sustain the plant in a more suitable soil medium for a succulent, the rinsing wasn’t necessary and was to show the viewer the development of the root systems but changing the soil is a vital step to prevent the roots from rotting in a soil mixture that holds onto moisture more readily which was initially used to allow roots to form in the first place

Not sure why you felt the need to try and deceive the viewers into thinking the plant at the end was the one you propagated, clearly the baby plants were put into a white pot, and the mature plant is not.
