Good to see you in our blessed country Cocoa Girl. We're one of your SUBS. Watching from Nyabohanse, Kenya. There are so many things to be told about Jamaica and also, so much to see! Where should I begin??? First of all... you are visiting my husband's parish. "Vista Print's" head office is not too far away. It's an eye catching building. Lots of local shopping around and also Airbnb's, hotels and private homes. There is a very nice, modern mall near by towards the beach. From where you are you can visit Black River and a town called Sav Lamar (Savana Lamar or Sav). There is also a water fall that has a sky-liner not far away. I cannot remember the name of the place. Also, "Lovers Leap" is close and there is a very steep hiking trail to get there, from Sandy Bay, which can be a lot of fun, but go in a group, not by yourself. For the visitors it can be scary, because when you look down while you are on the hill you cannot see the bottom, so if your feet should slip, then it could be dangerous, but it's a very beautiful hike in the deep forest. You will need to make a day trip to these places, because they're quite something!!! It's best to be finished before dark or it will be difficult to see your way back after dark. I've made a few trips there with a group of teenagers we took camping from the USA a few years ago and we've thoroughly enjoyed our day trips. They are all breath taking!!! There is also a motor bike riding park close by. The Sandy Bay Camp Sites are up in the hills of St. Elizabeth parish not too far away. Hope this helps! Why not bring your wife here on holiday, not to an all-inclusive hotel, but to an Airbnb in a regular upper-middle income community e.g. Richmond in Ocho Rios. See if she likes it.
