  • Hi guys! Thank you for watching this Blue Mountains - Spray Paint art. In this painting, I'll be using a small piece of card to add the details to the mountains, a sponge to make the trees in the foreground, my fingers to make the water, a paintbrush to make the trees in the distance, a cloud stencil to make the clouds and magazine paper and a carrier bag for the planets.

      Hi Christian, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this comment and feedback i really appreciate it :) How are you finding painting with spray paint are you enjoying it? Nice, mountains are cool too do, it took me a few goes to get use to painting them when i first tried them, but the more you practice them the better they'll come out and you will find your own method that works best for you when making them :) Just try different techniques to see which works the best for you :)

Your paintings are incredible, your eye for detail is outstanding. My suggestion wasn't made to try and improve your paintings but to have them have more natural feeling yet at the same time full of fantasy and mystery! I hope that you're not offended by me offering my suggestions and I look forward to seeing many more of your paintings.

      Hi Snacky, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment, and the great feedback, I really appreciate it :) yes the bristles will start sticking to each other, you have to be a bit quick when doing it, i also use different brushes throughout the painting, It also depends what brand or paint it is as well, some will dry faster and harder then others, I read your question about this early on another video, Yes i think it would be best to explain and show in a live video, i have wrote it down in my book so i don't forget :)

    Hi Jon, firstly, thank you for all your tutorials, they are fantastic and informative, I have a new found love of spray paint art! This painting is absolutely stunning, one of your best, and those mountains are on point (pun intended!). Question though, when i'm painting with a brush it always seems really watery when applied to the card or it mixes with the colours underneath, do you have any tips to prevent this and get some nice dark black paint down with a brush!?
    Keep up the good work :)

    • @JonBarberArt
      @JonBarberArt  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Babb101, Sorry for the late response, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave these Kind words and the comment, feedback, and the question I really appreciate it :) It all depends on what paint you are using the cheaper paints are thinner then the more expensive ones so seem watery, To get a blacker line you may have to go over the same thing more then once (i have to do that sometimes), To stop the paint from mixing when you paint it on, let the painting dry a bit before painting on it this way the paint won't mix :) hope this helps :) Its also nice to hear that you find my tutorials informative and that you have found a new hobby painting with spray paint :) How are you finding it are you enjoying it?

      @@JonBarberArt Hi Jon, thanks for replying and the advice. I had started with rustoleum painters touch, but have since bought some Montana white...which I have mixed feelings about...some of the colours (particularly black and white) don't seem to spray very evenly, and I keep getting larger droplets dotted about, maybe I'm not mixing enough or the caps are clogging? But I will persevere. I'm really enjoying it when I can find the time... It's an expensive hobby though 🤑 thanks again, and keep up the good work 👍🏻
