Can We ABANDON Our Salvation If We Sin Deliberately?

  • In this video, I explain a passage commonly cited to teach that it's possible to lose your salvation. Can a believer "abandon" their salvation and thereby forfeit eternal life? Does Hebrews 10 support this claim? I pray this video provides clarity and dispels any confusion concerning this subject. God bless!

    What I always find ironic about these lose your salvation types is that THEY never happen to lose their salvation, because they’re not as bad as you, or as sinful as you, or they don’t “willfully sin” or “practice sin” like you! it’s so prideful to believe that a born again believer can lose their salvation, but to also believe that they won’t, or haven’t lost theirs! He had huge drama in his family with his wife and kids because of it and then started blaming God to the point where he says “he doesn’t necessarily say he goes by every word of the Bible” but regardless of what he publicly confesses, I KNOW the Lord saved him. I have a sin I've been battling since I was a young boy. It haunts me continuously. The only time I am able to resist it, is when my trust is fully in Jesus. To think that it is I who earn my salvation from a perfect God, by resisting that temptation 100% of the time, and if I don't I go to hell, is foolishly placing your salvation in your incapable hands. You are not capable of not sinning! Only Jesus was and is. It is by walking with Him that you are able to learn how to resist the devil/temptation. To say that you have shed yourself of your humanity is to say you are equal with God/Jesus, and is prideful, which is a sin. Being washed in the blood of Jesus does not mean you are sin free, it means you are guilt free. All your sins have been forgiven! That means past, present and FUTURE! God knew you before you were born. Do you think He chose you because He believed you and you alone (referring to those who believe they don't sin anymore) were capable of excepting His blood and beating sin...? That is insanely arrogant! Your body is dead to sin just like non-believers! You are tempted just like non-believers!! The only difference!! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE is that you know who your father is, and when to ask forgiveness!

    I just discovered your channel a few days ago and you have given me so much to think about. I've been on the fence about OSAS, leaning more to the possibility of losing your salvation. After running from God pretty much my whole life, I truly believed on Jesus about six years ago at the age of 44. I was a drinker, drugger, fornicator and watched pornography. I listened to heavy, angry and violent heavy metal. Jesus encountered me in such a way that all of those behaviors and desires for those things disappeared quickly, almost like flipping a light switch. I have family and friends that have been saved for decades that still engage in what I consider the "deliberate, habitual sin" that I used to do, seemingly without any conviction. This has caused me to be bitter and judgemental towards them....as if I am some super saint. I've thought " how can this person be saved when they still engage in these behaviors?" I have made myself miserable over this. Last night, I let it go and gave it all to Jesus. I'm tired of being tired because of my constant judgement and racing thoughts. It drains the life out of you. The resentment is gone. I am at peace today, a peace that I haven't felt in a while. I now realize that our salvation isn't contingent on whether we continue in sin. Here are some points that I've gathered from your messages so far and please correct me if I'm wrong:
    1. Jesus' blood paid for everyone's sins... past, present and future.
    2. Repentance is turning away from the world and believing on Jesus.
    3. After the " initial" repentance, there's no need for daily "repentance of sin." They are already forgiven.
    4. Salvation is instantaneous and secure upon believing on Jesus.
    5. Should we sin? Absolutely not. Do we sin? Yes.
    6. If we continue to willfully sin, our salvation is secure but there are consequences here on Earth and we could forfeit our heavenly rewards.
    I will continue to seek God's truth and I thank you for explaining the scriptures in a clear and understandable way.

    It's hard to watch someone like that talk. It's clearly someone who is not led by the Holy Spirit, but tries to understand the Word through the flesh. A man trusting in his flesh, in his works, thinking that gets him to heaven and raptured. We HAVE eternal life the moment we believe. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." (Jhn 6:47 KJV) HATH which is present tense. Not will have or may have. It's the gift of God. This man is twisting the Scriptures so much, it's hard to bear.

    Another good video. I remember many years back, when my church had a retreat and folks got saved at the end. We also had a cross at the front of the room, and our instructor told us to write down the sin that you know you will struggle with during life, which I did. After, we were told to nail that piece of paper to the cross. But we all know, what Jesus did is much BIGGER than the individual sins we do. Jesus died for the SIN of the world, the total SIN of the world. That is what John the baptist points out.."behold, the lamb of God who takes away the SIN of the world." Thank you Lord, Thank you.

    In 1st corinthians they are living sinful life styles but Paul doesn't say they will lose their salvation, he says they would be killed physically but the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. YOU CAN NOT LOSE YOUR SALVATION BUT YOU CAN LOSE YOUR LIFE!

    • @kaioken654
      @kaioken654 Před rokem

      @Justin they were saved individuals that committed the sin unto death. God will chastise a sinning Christian all the way unto death if they don't stop but it doesn't mean you're not saved. Paul didn't know that man was going to repent, he said to give him unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh AKA death,
      that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Many people are deceived into trusting in their works, I hope that's not you because that's a deadly mistake.

    • @kaioken654
      @kaioken654 Před rokem

      @Justin all I'm saying is that the corinthians were believers living a sinful lifestyle and some of them died early because of it. The people that aren't believers are probably the people trusting in their works and don't even know it. Lord, Lord, have we. not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast. out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And he will say he never knew them

    • @kaioken654
      @kaioken654 Před rokem +1

      @Justin sanctification only happens when the believer walks in the spirit so they don't fulfil the lust of the flesh but if the born again believer isn't walking in the spirit they will fulfil the lust of the flesh. You can't judge if someone is saved by their works because works have nothing to do with getting saved or staying saved. Judas was out there doithe same works as the other disciples but he wasn't saved

    • @kaioken654
      @kaioken654 Před rokem

      @Justin he didn't believe. If you're doing good works because you believe that if you weren't doing them you wouldn't be saved then that means you're most likely trusting in your works and not Christ alone. If that's what you believed from the beginning then you're not likely saved and that's how subtle heresy works and could cost you eternal life.

    People read "there remains no more sacrifice for sins" as though that means those willful sins are not covered by Jesus. But it's really saying there remains no more sacrifices because Jesus's sacrifice was the only one that was sufficient. The blood of bulls and goats are no longer pleasing to God, and never were fully pleasing to God, because it could not fully atone for sin. People need to read their Bible's carefully and stop reading modern Bible versions that twist Scripture.

    Hebrews 10:26 is referring back to Hebrews 10:17-18. The knowledge of truth is that God is no longer remembering our sins and no sacrifice remains for our sins. Therefore, the deliberate sin is not believing in the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our sins. If you continue to ask God to forgive your sins (entering confession booths, answering altar calls, repeating prayers, misusing 1 John 1:9, etc) you are sinning deliberately. To continue to ask forgiveness is to trample Jesus Christ underfoot and to insult the Spirit of Grace. There is no sacrifice for our sins that remains that God requires or accepts. Jesus did it all.

It also says that you must accept Sacred Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15 It’s necessary for salvation to have the traditional orthodox/Catholic faith . In charity, I must tell you that you must convert and repent. There is a heaven and a hell. God exists and rewards those who seek him.
