Protecting puffins on Fidra

    The island of Fidra in the Forth is home to an important population of puffins. RSPB Scotland has been working hard to make it an ideal place for them to nest. Some of that work requires a head for heights and a steady hand!

    Beautiful place. i landed on Fidra years ago. Hope you can find the right balance between bird- and plant-life.

    Good work but why are the plants not dug up by their roots? Surely this would eradicate the plant from the island eventually.
