- Fishing the saltwater creek at a BOAT RAMP for whatever bites! The mission is to Catch and Cook some fresh fish for a special guest.. my crazy neighbor! First we head out to attempt to castnet some bait for the day! We then head out to go saltwater fishing at the boat ramp. What kind of fish would be around a boat ramp like this during this time of the year?? I did not expect for this to happen..

Stop feeling down on yourself for not being able to do bigger things. You were the main reason I felt comfortable getting out on the water and fishing as a salt water novice. I just moved to the Texas coast about a year ago and was solely a freshwater angler and was very hesitant to go out on the saltwater and fish since I knew next to nothing but your videos gave me confidence to be able to go out and learn without feeling like I was going to be judged. Now I go fishing at least every two weeks and get some fresh fish for the family. Thank you for what you do and being real on the channel. Hope your foot feels better soon!

I just noticed that Greg's ear tip has been clipped. The Spey and Neuter places do that to feral cats that are brought in by someone that isn't the "owner". So he probably doesn't really belong to anyone anymore. He's all yours.

You need to cast need into the deeper side outside of the boat ramp and let it sink longer get to the bottom and then pull it back up you’ll catch bait! But you cast net pretty decent
Yeah I was thinking shrimp don’t usually hang out in the boat ramp are more along the banks and deep areas

Loved this video as always! Don’t worry about your foot and not being able to do as much, just take care of you and keep on fishing! Also, fun fact: If you wanna give your dog and Gray some really tasty and good food, I recommend raw fish or meat. It’s super healthy for them, bones and all, but don’t cook the bones because they can be a choking hazard to them.

Florida from shore can be rough at times but I do have some advice that works for me. Mirro-deen jerk baits work extremely well in high pressured places. The shad/rattletrap shaped ones in the golden, blue, or even better the black silver and red belly ones. You vary up the retrieve between single, double, and triple jerks randomly and let it suspend for a bit after. I get nailed by tons of fish in high pressure places with these as the most popular baits are shrimp imitations and plastic swimbaits.
Another thing that will help as I noticed all the sandperch and croakers biting there is to get or use an ultralight bluegill style rod with small hooks and put small pieces of peeled shrimp on the ends. Drop em around the docks and you'll catch a ton of pinfish, pigfish, croakers, sandperch, etc that are very often perfect live bait size and if too big they make good cut bait that trout and reds love! Big pinfish and croakers are tasty too in case you miss out on the bigger fish! You'll probably catch a few crabs and catfish using cutbait but sailfin cats and crabs are good eating! Even the hardheads can be good eating if the water is clean and has been for a bit. The rare stingray can be a problem but they too are tasty.
Don't worry about the bluegill bobbers for shrimp fishing either because something the fish are just being ultra skittish and the typical salt water bobbers give too much resistance. I catch more mangrove snappers and sheepshead on smaller bobbers than I do large ones!

I used to chum with whatever (dog food moldy bread, expired stuff, $1 canned corn etc) and then cast my net on that spot. Works everytime. Oh and let it sink longer, its best if you let it hit bottom otherwise fish can swim out

I had that happen with my lower back for a couple years. Had to modify my lifting and working movements bro. Now it jumped to my neck so ill figure that out too so I can work.
i love fishing a local boat ramp. lately i have been using a carbon fiber 9'3" telescopic rod with a quantum optix80, 80lb braid and 6/0 circle hook. the catfish dont stand a chance.
Keep your head up , your feet will get fine bro , give it time .
Massage it and do stretches every day it will probably help.

Try some cut-up mackerel for bait, works great.
I would suggest going on that left side of the ramp, and throwing your cast net up against that grassline

easiest way to throw a cast net i have notice is make circles with the rope then get 1/3 of the cast net. get the bottom front closes to you then look where the net falls back down and then get the back closest to you then spin it with your dominated hand

Also good choice on cooking for the cat, seasoning usually is off putting for cats and their stomachs have a hard time digesting certain seasonings
This is standard time. We had to "save an hour" then came back to standard time. We are now back to normal.

Also find poegy meal and make some balls and throw them out or pack a old can with it and poke holes in it and let it soak you catch TONS of bait
Do a test on your ankle, rest it for 2 weeks with very minimal use and if it doesnt help then exercise it for 2 weeks and see how it goes
Please don’t get rid of daylight savings time. It doesn’t just make it darker earlier, it makes it *lighter* earlier. It would be complete darkness when you wake up in the morning without it
a great way to throw a cast net step1 grab a weight then step 2 count 5 more Infront of the weight that you are holding.
