- I seem to be going pentagram mad recently - they have been cropping up across all social media for me, BUT there is a reason, and that is why I have made this pentacle of the witch video. All about pentagrams and pentacles, their use in witchcraft, a potted history and then a couple of spells to boot.
On reviewing this - I do look a little under the weather, and that is because I merely had a cold (So boring…) so not up to my usual happy self I am afraid. However I will be right as rain next week so fear not.

Due to Christian upbringing and pop culture of my youth, when I began a path with witchcraft, I felt very uncomfortable with the pentagram.
After a number of years, I now find it to be a beautiful symbol full of rich and deep meaning for me.
I don’t wear one, but my house is full of moon water and sacred oil pentagrams… as am I, most days anyway! 🙃
I usually mix a bit of salt into some moon water for the protection pentagrams on doors.
Himalayan black salt if it’s outdoors ( that stuff reeks of rotten eggs! 🤢 So, it’s good old sea salt for inside the house ).
I like to use water for protection pentagrams and oils for ‘manifestation’ pentagrams. I think of it like washing away with water, anointing and blessing with oil.
Or I just draw one with a finger if I have nothing to hand.
Even more basic, if I feel the need for a protection booster out in public, I just visualise a pentagram… works well for me 🤷♂️
I like that. I'm still fighting the decades of Christian brainwashing, and have been hiding my pentagram in a drawer. However, I'm about to make one of long cinnamon sticks to hang on my wall. I guess I've been edging out of the broom closet one toe at a time, but that should bring about some interesting conversations! 😖
Recently found out that Japanese ninjas who practiced Witchcraft also used the pentagram symbol. .thanks Ginny 😉

I was always thinking that pentacles are a sign of evils, thank you for clarifying that.

I did appreciate what you said about symbols may not work within themselves as a loan object but when paired with a witch with belief and intent behind it, that's when they really do have effect :)
I myself use smoke to draw a pentacle over the doors of my home.

Love this! I found your channel through Bex of The witches cookery. from watching her I learned that I have been a witch all my life. Yes, I did study witchcraft a very long time ago, but I study everything that has to do with the tarot, astrology, varies spiritual practices and much much more. What I learned is that as a child I was unintentionally doing these practices, as was my mother and her mother. As an adult, I can now put intention and spell work into these lifelong practices. I loved and appreciated your video very much! So looking forward to becoming more knowledgeable of who I was born to be :) ps All 3 of my daughters practice to some degree and I'm looking forward to sharing more knowledge with them and my grand-daughter too!

I think that there are people that wish to practice magick yet tell others not to practice magick. I believe they often end up losing their magick.

Question.. you mentioned the banishing ritual of the pentagram.. which I understand calls on angelic entities to protect and shield, but as a practitioner who rejects Abrahamic religions how does this correlate?? Thanks
My banishing ritual did not use angels, merely the security of the pentagram in which I stood in the middle. It is stronger than a plain circle… as to Abrahamic religions - I tend to not go with any religion (and that includes wicca….) but I still maintain being a witch.
Angels are used mainly in Enochian rituals for things like that. Many practitioners of this also are not members of abrahamic religions. As far as the pentacle goes, that is not one of the sigils used in conjunction with angels.
Before doing the moon water spell on the door, would or should I do a cleansing with sage of the house?
I would definitely cleanse, more the merrier in my opinion
