Yet another version of Eddie Floyd's hit. This time by Phoebe, Michael and Donald Fagen's New York Rock & Soul Revue. Recorded in 1992 in Philadelphia.
@lindafoltz you are so right. I remember buying my first Phoebe Snow cassett (which tells you long I have been following her) and my friends were listening to Nazareth, AC/DC etc which I also love. But I did get the ladies...glass of wine and Phoebe, cant go wrong
to all Phobe Snow fans: I am not sure many people know but Phoebe suffered a devasting stroke in December 2009, she is not recovering fast. Let us pray, hope and support her with our best wishes for a healthy life and recovery. She has a FB page "REAL PHOEBE SNOW" and her manager and friend Sue reads all the messages to her.....It is so unfair that someting like this happened to such a special human being......
never liked Mike when he was with the Doobie Brothers, thought he was out of place with a rock band like them. He is a great R & B singer and with Phoebe, you cant go wrong. God do I miss her and her fabulous voice.
hey Leisha n Debbie!!! Dancing with out FLORESCENT Lime Green; Yellow: Orange Big Bell Bottoms........kinda like boogalooo down browadway !!!!!! LOL sure wish I had a photo to insert
GOD BLESS YOU PHOEBE....BROUGHT SO MUCH JOY TO THIS WORLD! NOW YOUR WITH YOUR DAUGHTER IN HEAVEN...FOR ETERNITY
As time marches on,this is vintage Phoebe looking good and sounding good as usual Much Love Phoebe Barbara
Most soulful duo I've ever heard!! Love her voice and Michael goes without saying!
I sure wish Fagen's Rock and Soul Review had been formally recorded for posterity. Well, we have what we have. Thanks for this, it is great!
It's hard to be in the world without Phoebe! :( Thank you for posting this so we can still watch her sing!
She will always be missed what a great singer-what a loss!
What a fantastic combination!

There was a disc released: The New York Rock and Soul Revue, Live at The Beacon (recorded March 1st and 2nd 1991). It totally rocks!!!
Thanks for adding this here, Cheers Doug payne
Two dynamic voices...RIP Phoebe.
Soooo GREAT..There are not very many singers ( solo or duo ) who can can sing from their Kishkas ( soul ) like Michael and Phoebe.... The Real Deal !!
RIP Phoebe.
