As a Bama fan, I’m very optimistic about the future. Wish some of the transfers would have waited to see how Coach KDB fit in. But I think this team will be top notch and people who underestimate it will get steamrolled by it.
As a Tennessee fan I can't root for Bama but I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited to see what's next for them. Anyone who thinks that team is setup to become some sort of stepping stone is sadly mistaken.

I’m not at all worried if DeBoer will be successful. It may not be to the level that Saban was at but I believe he will have Alabama winning 10+ games a year and regularly in the playoffs. My concern is more if he sticks around. Hes been very successful everywhere he’s been, but he also only stays a few years. I wouldn’t be surprise if he has a lot of success and then dips for the NFL in 2-3 years.
If I were to have a concern it would be exactly this. After 17 years with CNS, I’d love to see Coach DeBoer have decent success for at least as long. Hopefully… RTR
Like many other SEC other schools not named Alabama, I was absolutely ecstatic when he retired, it was something we’d all been looking forward to for a very long time, that it didn’t matter the replacement bc there’d never be another saban. But I may have overlooked DeBoer. Dude has great track record, and he’s young - that’s probably the scariest thing. No they probably won’t be the same Alabama from 10 years ago but honestly we haven’t seen that version in a few years anyway. No reason to think we won’t see the same level as recent years. Either way best of luck with the new coach.
We will probably never witness another dominance run like Saban had with all the changes unless no rules are put in place and someone like Texas goes all in and buys every single 5 star out there which no one would be able to compete with.

For the life of me, I can't understand why these media types keep comparing Georgia and Alabama. It does not matter which way you cut it, one team is head and shoulders ahead of the other. Georgia under Kirby Smart (the best coach in the sport now according to Josh) is 1-5 against Alabama. And the 1 came from a glorified do-over after getting demolished in the SECCG. If Saban were 1-5 vs Kirby, he would have been FIRED. That's how high the standard is at Alabama. Auburn has a better record than that in as many years by the way. And I think the only reason UGA didn't fire Kirby was because they were waiting for the old man to retire. To Alabama fans, Georgia always has been an afterthought, just another stone in the road. Georgia has a great program don't get me wrong, but it should be when it's made up of coaches that have been poached from Alabama lol! With or without Nick Saban, UGA are not the same standard as Alabama and the record between the two schools dating back to a century ago proves that, regardless of what the people that came out from under their rock in 2021 after 41 years say. They have had the luxury of a weak East division and now that's gone so we are about to see just how good of a coach Kirby really is, because the talent is there to win, but the coach has to get it done.

Bama fans feeling real good about this year and next for sure. They replaced their biggest loss on defense (Downs) with another NFL safety. They replaced their biggest loss on offense (Bond) with another NFL receiver. The front seven stayed relatively in tact and only lost 4th and 5th string guys to the portal. Oline stayed in tact with Proctor coming back. They will be better at RB and QB this year with Milroe in his second season as a starter and their young stud RBs finally getting their turn after for all intents and purposes forcing out last years starters (McClellan to the NFL and Williams to FSU) because they were not going to start over them this year. The biggest issue and what could be what derails the team this year is corner. This is the unit that got decimated in the portal. Basically all new guys and most of the depth are freshman. They are 5 stars but still freshman. They are going to need the USC transfer and Wake Forrest transfer to be dudes and stay healthy. If Domani Jackson can play like the 5 star he was out of high school and the Wake Forrest transfer can be a solid veteran corner Bama will be contending for another title this year and no one should be surprised if DeBoer wins one in his first year. As for the future DeBoer is showing that he's an ace recruiter when given the resources to recruit.

I felt great ness that whole season. 2006 BAMA hires Nick Saban to over haul the program from the ground up. His whole dynasty and every year every season had that feel of great ness. This season if any Bama fan says they got a great feeling about deBORE who eventually will be shown the DOOR! IF they say thay aint worried they a MFIN LIEEEE! Hes to nice! Friends with the players,Took the job to secure the bag and to be remembered as loser hire Alabama made after the had the greatest coach of ALL TIME. The defense coordinator hire told me all i needed to know. Everyone can say what the want he hired a mediocre sunbelt level coordinator at best in our 2nd most prestige position on the team if not most. I hope im wrong but its a laugh while the wheels come off the wagon this season.
Kirby took over I. December 2015 they were coming off 10-3 season. Why are we pretending he took over a bad program at jump? He obviously elevated them into all time great levels with way he’s recruited year and and year out. Don’t hurt that he’s in a state LOADED with talent. Just north of another state loaded with talent Florida.
Those three losses were the difference. MR couldn't consistently win "the big game"....remember how they lost the SEC Championship game to Alabama...ball inside the 10 yard line as time ran out.....that sums up MR's coaching career TBH.

Talk about the mass exodus of transfers and how that will effect the Win total. In my opinion, there's some internal conflicts happening and that's why so many left, Saban leaving was just the catalysis to spark the entire thing off. I predict a slight drop-off this year but the playoff expansion will keep Bama relevant.
Alabama I admit has talent. But what is vital is Player Leaders. Will that change, being the coaching staff changed. Now anyone they play will play above there means. They will play teams that will knock this new coaching staff to the canvas. So how will those coaches handle being knocked down. How will the players handle it. Will they get back up. More and likely they will but run out of playing time.

Saban left LSU in elite condition. LSU didn't take a step back for at least a decade with Leslie Miles. Most of that success was due to what Saban built. To bad for Bama it's not 2002, now we have NIL, Unlimited Portal, and and a bunch of Divas on the field.
It's going to be a different Bama without Nick on the sidelines. But Bama will go back to high scoring offense & also back to a defense that's going to create points off of turnovers.I can't wait to see & here the haters this season
I'm optimistic about DeBoer but even Saban couldn't compete with Saban's results during his 17 seasons. Expectations should be high but they should be adjusted for current challenges - NIL, transfer portal, expanded SEC, expanded playoffs, etc.
I'm an Alabama fan and I can see them losing 2 of their first 4 games . That's when you'll hear a lot of noise . I don't think Alabama has a bad team , I just see Texas and Ole Miss as both top 5 teams .

I'm Certain DeBoer will be a Great Coach at Alabama IF he makes the right choices and continues the Strong Recruiting and Coaching that Saban left behind. That's really the question I want answered at this point: IS DoBoer the right coach going forward for Bama to continue its Juggernaut Status? We Know Kirby Smart is going to be with the Dawgs for the Rest of this Decade, and DAWG NATION is EAGER to take the Torch from Bama. Will DoBoer keep that Torch held in Bama? THAT'S what I want to know.
I happy Saban left when he did. He left right before started getting too ugly for him. DeBoer said I’ll take over nobody has inherited as much talent as DeBoer is going to and still getting talent. I still think if Milroe learns to hit guys 5-15 yards and rb consistently nobody will come within 21 points of bama. Cause everyone will have to worry about the passing game not just deep pass and run game they will have to worry about everything and if he can do that Milroe will be the best qb in the league easily.
Nobody really knows. Only time will tell. Personally i think bama might take 1 or 2 steps back this year, but as long as we can keep winning at least 10 games per year over the next couple of years, our recruiting should stay top 5. As long as we can keep bringing in 4 and 5 star players we should remain a top 5 team.

It depends on who you ask. I am realistic. Alabama has one of if not the best roster in the country. Outside of Nick Saban, the coaching staff is better. Xos for sure. This is how I see it. When Saban was coached and you played bama. You didn't come just to beat the team. You came to be Nick Sabn and the fans. For the life of me, I can't understand why these media types keep comparing Georgia and Alabama. It does not matter which way you cut it, one team is head and shoulders ahead of the other. Georgia under Kirby Smart (the best coach in the sport now according to Josh) is 1-5 against Alabama. And the 1 came from a glorified do-over after getting demolished in the SECCG. If Saban were 1-5 vs Kirby, he would have been FIRED. That's how high the standard is at Alabama. Auburn has a better record than that in as many years by the way. And I think the only reason UGA didn't fire Kirby was because they were waiting for the old man to retire.
To Alabama fans, Georgia always has been an afterthought, just another stone in the road. Georgia has a great program don't get me wrong, but it should be when it's made up of coaches that have been poached from Alabama lol! With or without Nick Saban, UGA are not the same standard as Alabama and the record between the two schools dating back to a century ago proves that, regardless of what the people that came out from under their rock in 2021 after 41 years say. They have had the luxury of a weak East division and now that's gone so we are about to see just how good of a coach Kirby really is, because the talent is there to win, but the coach has to get it done.

Bama fans feeling real good about this year and next for sure. They replaced their biggest loss on defense (Downs) with another NFL safety. They replaced their biggest loss on offense (Bond) with another NFL receiver. The front seven stayed relatively in tact and only lost 4th and 5th string guys to the portal. Oline stayed in tact with Proctor coming back. They will be better at RB and QB this year with Milroe in his second season as a starter and their young stud RBs finally getting their turn after for all intents and purposes forcing out last years starters (McClellan to the NFL and Williams to FSU) because they were not going to start over them this year. The biggest issue and what could be what derails the team this year is corner. This is the unit that got decimated in the portal. Basically all new guys and most of the depth are freshman. They are 5 stars but still freshman. They are going to need the USC transfer and Wake Forrest transfer to be dudes and stay healthy. If Domani Jackson can play like the 5 star he was out of high school and the Wake Forrest transfer can be a solid veteran corner Bama will be contending for another title this year and no one should be surprised if DeBoer wins one in his first year. As for the future DeBoer is showing that he's an ace recruiter when given the resources to recruit.

I felt great ness that whole season. 2006 BAMA hires Nick Saban to over haul the program from the ground up. His whole dynasty and every year every season had that feel of great ness. Kirby took over I. December 2015 they were coming off 10-3 season. Why are we pretending he took over a bad program at jump? He obviously elevated them into all time great levels with way he’s recruited year and and year out. Don’t hurt that he’s in a state LOADED with talent. Just north of another state loaded with talent Florida.
Those three losses were the difference. MR couldn't consistently win "the big game"....remember how they lost the SEC Championship game to Alabama...ball inside the 10 yard line as time ran out.....that sums up MR's coaching career TBH.

Talk about the mass exodus of transfers and how that will effect the Win total. In my opinion, there's some internal conflicts happening and that's why so many left, Saban leaving was just the catalysis to spark the entire thing off. Saban left LSU in elite condition. LSU didn't take a step back for at least a decade with Leslie Miles. Most of that success was due to what Saban built. To bad for Bama it's not 2002, now we have NIL, Unlimited Portal, and and a bunch of Divas on the field.

I happy Saban left when he did. He left right before started getting too ugly for him. DeBoer said I’ll take over nobody has inherited as much talent as DeBoer is going to and still getting talent. I still think if Milroe learns to hit guys 5-15 yards and rb consistently nobody will come within 21 points of bama. Cause everyone will have to worry about the passing game not just deep pass and run game they will have to worry about everything and if he can do that Milroe will be the best qb in the league easily.
Nobody really knows. Only time will tell. Personally i think bama might take 1 or 2 steps back this year, but as long as we can keep winning at least 10 games per year over the next couple of years, our recruiting should stay top 5. As long as we can keep bringing in 4 and 5 star players we should remain a top 5 team.

It depends on who you ask. I am realistic. Alabama has one of if not the best roster in the country. Outside of Nick Saban, the coaching staff is better. Xos for sure. This is how I see it. When Saban was coached and you played bama. You didn't come just to beat the team. You came to be Nick Sabn and the fans.
