- Hi guys!My husband was craving for semolina halva and I decided to make one!Usually we make semolina halva during Easter fast because it contains no eggs!This recipe is known as 1…2…3…4… halva because of its cups of ingredients.
I twisted it a little bit because I think it is quite heavy and oily!

@@IbrahimHalil-up6im, this is not the point, I was referring to it as a desert. English is not my primary language. The idea is this food is great, I have eaten it in Greece, did not remember the recipe and I was happy to have found it. :)
@@angeebp - I'm glad you've enjoyed it. By the way helva is a Turkish pudding like dessert. There are many varieties of Helva made from semolina, flour and Tahin etc etc

You need some kind of citrus peel in the syrup, like lemon or orange for example, or the end result will have a tea-like flavour.
You can use orange zest if you want, but it is very tasty just with the cinnamon and cloves.

Is it okay to use cold syrup or does it have to be hot?
When it is cold you will have more steam and bubbles. Just be careful.
