You won't have enough exhaust flow to spool it
i know, i am curious what would happen if you spooled up a gigantic turbo from the outside with say compressed air and then connected it to a tiny engine

My brother has a 1987 Chevy Sprint Turbo (basically a Suzuki Swift) and it has a turbo I3 that basically makes like 100 horsepower, it's basically that 1st car but stripped down as a racing car. It actually held a Land speed record for 1L cars in Bonneville LOL

I have a challenge (or four) for you, in Automation:
1. Make the smallest possible engine, running on regular (un)leaded gasoline, that also has a decent power curve and at least 300 horsepower.
2. (Based somewhat on your 1946 hypercar video) Make the earliest era car that you can, capable of 200+ mph. While it took production cars until the 1980s to reach such speeds, and until the mid-late 1960s for race cars, I’d imagine you can pull it off for an earlier era given you slide the quality sliders all the way up.
3. Make a time attack car… using a CVT. It sounds silly, but it’s actually doable; my fastest-lap-time builds in Automation use CVTs, and also use V16s specifically designed to have a very thin powerband at a very high RPM just to circumvent the torque restriction, which itself also sounds jank as hell, but actually works beautifully with a CVT.
4. Make the fastest car possible that has less than or equal to 1,000 horsepower. With enough (lack of) frontal area and drag, and enough downforce via specifically a rear wing/diffuser, you’d be surprised.

Two automation ideas:
1. Make a 70s muscle car, but the bodystyle is a modern car, everything else is 70s muscle car
2. Make a car that is just backwards, like those backwards trucks that you see where the body is backwards
Idea: make an engine with the most horsepower possible, like just get the number as high as you can, then put it into a really small car, but add 10 spoilers stacked on top of each other so it doesn’t spin out
I like how the initial rev up sounds like a normal car, and then a rocketdyne engine.

The Dacia EcOHMYGODboost's engine is made of the same stuff as MuYe's 200k rpm Roamer, that is to say, a Stronk driveshaft, full Obamium internals and Superlube LSDs.

you would need sum wild antilag for the second 2 turbos or a lil twin charge when they add supercharger to automation
Day 1: of asking to making your favorite acutal real life car or something and then importing it to have an interior and then into a beamng jbeam 3d blender car mod with openable doors hood trunk and operational buttons to make the car I guess dev quality *(try your best)* I hope you can attempt this challenge as well putting it into beamng's repository where we can download your mod. *if you want you can make the engine have at least max hp of 600-900 but is your car so its your hp how you like it so have your choose at horsepower don't go with my recomendation but do make the car though with the amount the horsepower you want ok, thanks*

maybe a bit of a stupid suestion, but how come you can rotate the parts on all axis? For me i can only rotate fixtures around one axis (i only have the greed arrow) and it's really bugging me

Turbos are spooled by the exhaust to force air in through the middle. Basically, you’ve routed the exhaust through the intercooler and back into the intake and put on a useless air filter

this is how alot of high performance cars are tho. not the turbo being literally bigger than the engine but a 200hp v4 making 700 with massive turbos. ie turbo is helping produce more than the entire engines power by 3
It's simple to make so first all you need is in line three very tiny Then you need turbo with maxed out size or at least that's what I think
