@@Oldguydosestuff my 1st time there hope to go again next year, I was just a little bit disappointed that some clubs seemed to be put out of the way which was a bit of a shame
@@graham6390 hi yes I’ve noticed clubs being moved from prominent position to fringe locations But seeing the work that my group put into promoting our group NWKCOG to gain better a pitch A small army of very active members turning out to over 80 meetings a year putting great efforts on visual appearance of pitch and a large charity fund raising side of the group It’s a lot of hard work, but lots of prominent vacant pitches that could have been put to use by Spartan cars 🤷♂️
@@Oldguydosestuff hi I am not having a go or anything, it’s just the 1st time I have been there and so just surprised how spread out all the clubs where, it just seemed some clubs were a bit left out
@@graham6390 yes it was very different to other years and probably a bit last minute so I was just happy the show went on Even Caterham club has seriously lost prominence this year Cobra club moved too Can’t wait till next year when hopefully normality will be restored 🤞
I'm surprised at how many of the clone/replica kits have just missed the proportions of their intended subject by miles. Some truly clumsy-looking copies in this assortment.
I think a lot are based on existing production cars Z3 Boxster Both have bolt off panels, as long as the chassis stays basically in tacked cars can be legally registered as a body change without the hassle and costs of an IVA inspection This type of building is getting a lot more popular and probably explains the proportions being out
should the title read WHERE THE BEST CAR BUILDER WERE MENT TO MEET???? £15 to look at a half empty hall and a few empty fields on a Sunday morning a really poor showing for 2021 and a really poor excuse from the people running it thankfully AK sportscars put on a great stand
Unfortunately it was a late announcement which must have made it difficult for traders to commit to I’m just grateful for them putting it on at all 👍 I’ve always found it’s the clubs and people that make Stoneleigh show 😉😎
@@Oldguydosestuff thats ok but if you only run a show at a fraction of the advertised numbers dont charge people FULL PRICE at the door just seemed slap dashed
I agree with you, I had stopped going after a number of shows a while ago, especially Bank Holiday Monday where many cars are gone by Mid day , despite that Stoneleigh still charging families full entry fee arriving about 11am,
@@droidb5464 from what ive seen its a case of a greedy promotor money grabbing a community of replica / kitcar fans not even an sorry or kiss my tail pipe just an offer for a free pass next year!! every other weekend since the lockdown has been lifted my wife and i have been to some kind of car themed show and EVEYONE OF THEM HAS HAD A GREAT SHOWING and no excuses about covid or no shows
Oops I had a good two days walking around and taking photos The whole club stands were moved around this year and no site maps handed out probably due to the last minute ok to run the event But I probably spent way too much time chatting to old and new friends 🥴😂😂😂 Dutton used to have such a large presence and got so many into kit cars 😍
Thank you for taking the time to make and share. Hopefully back to normal in 2022.
My Cobra interior right at the start :)
Your car was extremely well presented considering the amount of use it gets in all weathers, it’s a credit to you 👍😎
@@Oldguydosestuff Thank you :)
Looks great . Don’t I’ve ever seen a cobra interior in anything other than black
Nice video shame you missed out n the Spartan cars
Everything was moved around this year and I probably stop and talk too much 😉🤷♂️
