      This song makes me cry every time I hear it. My siblings all think it's great fun to play it and make me cry. Streets of Heaven by Sheree Austin also makes me cry. We're talking snot-sobbing/ugly-crying-like-Kim-Kardashian. My co-workers at the place I worked all thought it was a rollicking good time to call me into one room of the pharmacy into another room of the pharmacy to guffaw at me and the I-can't-breathe-I'm-crying-so-hard reactions.

    Oh wow. This song brings back so many memories. My best friend and I loved this song. We would listen to it all the time. Brings back memories of going to our favorite restaurant before home football games. We always listened to Tim and Garth and Trisha Yearwood.
    Speaking of Trish, She's In Love With The Boy is a classic. I think it was maybe her first or second hit. Her voice is pure country.
    On a 'Dear God, where did the time go note' I am trying to wrap my mind around the fact this song came out 27 years ago...I could use some of that Bourbon right now!

    Keith with the middle verse you got to remember he is 18 years old and he is panicked. Not everyone takes a weapon on a date to the movie theater. And all he wanted was to do was get the guy to not hurt his girl. As a woman I would respect a man more that gave up everything he owned instead of taking on a guy that would probably kill him because if the robber has a gun and we don't if my guy gets killed then I am in trouble. And you got remember not every guy was a marine like you. Just my opinion. LOL I love you guys' reactions by the way. I have had a couple really hard loses in the last couple years and your channel makes me smile when not a lot of other things do.

      @@BourbonCountryReacts It's not about you it's about you trying something and he kills the woman you love because you didn't just do what he wanted and let him rob you. I understand your point but the point of that middle stanza was Johnny was willing to let the bad guy have whatever he wanted so he didn't hurt the girl not Johnny. If Johnny tries something by pulling his own weapon or fighting the guy off the girl could be hurt because of his actions so he decided to just give the guy whatever he wanted so his woman wouldn't be hurt. In this situation the guy already has his gun drawn and pointed at the couple if you truly believe you are fast enough to draw your own weapon and fire or swing your fist at a guy with his gun already pointed at you congratulations on being the Flash but most human beings would be smart enough to realize the best thing to do in this situation is to give the guy what he wants so no one gets hurt. The criminal wasn't kidnapping the girl he said "if you do what I tell you to there won't be any harm" and you see in the video after he gets the money/wallet he leaves them both unharmed he just wanted to rob the guy. The guy in this situation did the only reasonable rationale thing to do since he didn't have a weapon already drawn or any type of military training.

    I love music and a big fan of rock, alternative, and country. I like songs that tell a story or that has a good meaning behind them. I've never been good at explaining or expressing my feelings or emotions but I can always find a song that explains perfectly. I think y'all should check Tim McGraw's Humble and Kind. I'm not 100% sure but I think it was wrote by a teacher or someone has a prayer to her kids. It's how I try to raise my 3 daughters fore sure but I enjoy watching y'all's videos. I enjoy hearing both of y'all's options as well and more times than not I agree. Loved the reaction y'all did to Country Boy Can Survive and would love to see y'all do one to Family Tradition, Whiskey Bent And Hell Bound, and If Heaven Ain't A Lot Like Dixie. Well shit I just thought of another song I think y'all would like Charlie Daniel: Devil Went Down To Georgia. I remember one of y'all said that you really liked the fiddle and if so you'll love that song

  • @msredstilettoscraftsshoesc5152

    The middle stanza had to be written that way in order to fit the song... it's called “don't take the girl”! I mean come on man! You gotta see that! Plus it's telling a story of how the boy went from thinking she had cooties & not wanting her around to her becoming his everything! The verse fits the song... period.

    I loved this song way back when. It was from his second album, but turned out to be his big time breakout album. From that same album you should check out "Not a Moment Too Soon" (which was the title track for the album) and "Indian Outlaw". The entire album was pretty good. It produced five Top 10 songs with two of them going to #1. I think you should also check out one of his more recent offerings "Humble and Kind".
    You had mentioned in a previous reaction that everyone seemed to be feeding you the slow sappy songs to react to. Check out Toby Keith's "Beer For My Horses" and if you're feeling a bit ornery, also check out "The Taliban Song". It was one of those songs that always seemed to get a great reaction when Toby played it live for our troops stationed in the Middle East.
    Now, let's talk booze. I am one of those "Jack Daniels" drinkers, so please don't make fun of me. I'm not big on the flavored stuff though. I prefer just the regular Old No. 7, straight up or mixed with coke. I will say I also like the Tennessee Fire, but not as much. Though, it is pretty good mixed with Dr Pepper. I'm not sure I have ever tried any bourbon. So you tell me, if you were to recommend a good bourbon for someone totally new to that part of the "spirit world" and would be easy to find on a national level (not sure how many of those Indiana bourbons can be found in Arizona) what would it be? Suggest one that you think would sell me on trying more bourbons. I will be sure to pick up a bottle next time I am in town (or sooner if they have it at the local grocery store).
    P.S. I apologize for my long winded comments, lol.

      @@BourbonCountryReacts Oh yeah, I am well familiar with JD Single Barrel. I've at least tried most every Jack Daniels available. There is one I haven't tried that I really want to, but it's difficult finding their Sinatra Select in stock anywhere. I was asking specifically about bourbon though. I know it's a whiskey, but it's made mostly from corn, which is what differentiates it from normal whiskeys. So, for someone new to the particular spirit, what would be a good bourbon to try?

    • @BourbonCountryReacts
      @BourbonCountryReacts  Před 2 lety +1

      Good mid line, and available kind of entry bourbon would be Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select or their Double Oaked.
      If you're looking for a higher end, maybe EH Taylor.
      Then on the very high end, Horse Soldier Commander's select.

    You are most likely tasting the "iron" from the grain used. The water has to be so treated these days that it is no longer an impact on the distillate. This is one reason that old bourbon tastes better.

    • @BourbonCountryReacts
      @BourbonCountryReacts  Před 2 lety

      The distilleries in KY say otherwise. However, we're hitting more and more non-KY bourbons that have no iron flavor in them, which might indeed indicate they're highly treating the water before production. I have a source in the industrial water purification business. I'll check with him to see if distillers are a customer base for his industry. - Keith
