    Nice to see a real gardener in a real garden doing some real gardening . Yes its the walking up and down in the big gardens,you need to get the owners to get a little tractor and trailer. 😊👍

      @@TheCountryCottageGardener maintain your garden,is another one that ive recently discovered ,seems like he is an actual Gardener. There are many that are really garden services and grounds maintenance that call themselves gardeners, grass cutting,hedge cutting, clearance tidy ups, and trimming anything at any time of year. Not much plant knowledge,all about the machines used etc. Not knocking it, there is a call for it. But there is a difference between that and actually being a Gardener. You know what I mean.There are many I watch.John lords secret garden is a good one. I am a Gardener by the way, I don't have a garden channel 🙂👍

    Great garden to work in mate and plenty of work done! I have to admit I love working in overcast weather but if it’s raining if windy it gets right on my nerves. I have one garden it’s always guaranteed to rain in every time I am there I don’t know why it just does and yet it’s probably one of my favourite gardens to work in. Have a good week mate and loom forward to the next video.

      Nice to hear from you pal. It is strange how the weather works out. I've got about 4 videos to edit at the moment so hoping to get some editing done this week. Thanks for watching and your comment 👍👍

    That’s a nice site to work on mate. Proper gardening with herbaceous plants that will look amazing in summer.

    You do get to work in some lovely gardens. Know what you mean about big gardens, and everything being so far away from everything else. Nothing worse than getting over the other side of the garden and realising you’ve left something you need in your van

    Makes me feel better about one of my properties seeing that you are still tidying different areas. 😂 the main beds around the house are perfect but as you get further away they get progressively worst.

    Great day in the life video...👍How would you go pricing a job like that - would you just give them a day rate? I'm about to start up, and have already been asked to tackle a big garden for a tidy up...don't want to turn it down, but don't want to get the pricing too far wrong...thanks again

    • @TheCountryCottageGardener
      @TheCountryCottageGardener  Před rokem +2

      Hi, thanks for watching. Pricing is such a tricky one. This is a regular client of mine and on a hourly rate. Your see lots of comments and videos about not doing hourly but charging for a job ect. Tbh both have there advantage and disadvantages. If you want to chat more in depth about the subject pm me via Instagram and I'll happily give you a call if thst would help.

    Really enjoyed, what a lovely garden, nice and big too, definitely a down is, always a good walk to get where you need to be, how do you weed control in the beds, hoe or rake.
    🙂👍

      Hi Jason. I tend to hand weed for the first few go's early spring. Catch all the winter growers. Tap rooted plants and tuffed grass ect then switch to a hoe when it warms up more. I do like to (try) keeping a fine til to the soil as helps keep the buggers at bay and looks nice.
