I decided to jump in on a sew-along that Marna @DollsRescued is hosting. This project is WELL above my skill set, but I learned a lot and had fun in the process. I hope you enjoy the video.
Marna has this awesome way of encouraging us to try new things! She gave me my first real pattern which I decided to hand sew. It was so much fun! Your dress turned out wonderfully. Great challenge!✨💜✨💜✨👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I couldn’t agree more. I wouldn’t have even known about this pattern. Plus, I always enjoy a group challenge and seeing what everyone else came up with. I love how supportive this community is. Thank you so much!!!
Hehehe, I loved your commentary throughout this video! You did a nice job! I agree that using a fabric, like the one on your other gal, will make all the difference for this flowy pattern. Both girls look really cute 😊👍
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. 💛 The boho girl came with that outfit. She’s always been a favorite. I got her years ago at Tuesday morning.
No worries. And don’t worry about the pattern. I think we all learned something with this one - even if it was to pivot, ignore it and do your own thing.
It wasn’t the easiest pattern to make, and with the fabric being quite stiff it doesn’t flow so well, she still looks very cute in it though. Your other doll looks gorgeous. 😊
Thanks. I’m so glad it was tough to people who have more sewing experience. That gives me some relief. I really thought that fabric would drape- but not at that scale. At people scale yes. 1/6 - no way. 😂
@@littleplasticfriends It’s all part of the fun leaning what works and what doesn’t, although can be frustrating too! I’ve just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for visiting mine and leaving a comment as I might not have seen yours otherwise. 😊
That Pattern you showed, with the Wedding Dress and everything else in, I love those, I use them often!~
Good to know. Especially after this crazy pattern. 😂

Your dress is beautiful, and your dolls look amazing!~ Your 'skill set' (as you called it) is now very elevated. ;-)
Awww thanks. I am going to keep challenging myself to take on things that look too difficult.

Thank you soooo much! 😊 I worried that I grumped too much- but it really was a lot of fun. Next time I will check the recommended fabric. 😂
I think it turned out great, I love the border that you used!
Thanks. I was excited when I found it & thought it would work well for this project.
Gorgeous outfit!
Thank you so much!!! 😊
I think you did rather well considering the heavy fabric you used! She looks lovely 🥰
Did you make the boho style dress as well? I love her look ❤️🥰❤️
