I’d buy Wolfgang press for the cover alone!!! Enjoyed the video.
I can't believe I've got no Guided by Voices. Yes, Cut Out Witch, I like. Goes from cookin' to rockin'. They are on my radar. CDs are fine with me. Thanks!
Nice idea for a video. Just won Radio-Activity on eBay the other day to complete my Kraftwerk collection. I really like the Exploding Hearts album, the accident that ended the band happened a few miles from where I am. The Slowdive album was just delivered yesterday, first listen seemed pretty good.
Congrats on the Radio-Activity eBay win! Sometimes there are great deals to be had on eBay even though sometimes it can be quite risky. Oh, how devastating to have to drive past that Exploding Hearts' accident site frequently. So very sad.
Yay, I'm glad you got the new Slowdive LP! Such an enjoyable listen!
Hey Hanna! That Bauhaus EP I'd love to hear. My fav Bauhaus song is "Kick In The Eye," and love "Bela Lugosi's Dead," which I have a CD single of. Slint is fantastic. Haven't heard them in awhile but do like "Spiderland." Kraftwerk - I agree, I like "Man Machine" much better. Have not heard 14 Iced Bears before. Sad what happened to Exploding Hearts. The Wolfgang Press - I found a promo 12 inch of theirs a few years ago at a thrift. I don't know what happened to it though. If I find it I'll send it to you. Can't go wrong with GBV. Robert Pollard's collage artwork adds to the appeal for me. "Bee Thousand" is the one I've listened to most.
That Bauhaus EP you got is intruiging to me because it has the song "Harry" on it, being a reference to Debbie Harry from Blondie...and it's a ska song from Bauhaus :D
Love the Cowboy Junkies album in your rack…. 👌
seen Exploding Hearts many times, Terry the surviving member was in the Nice Boys shortly afterwards and they are worth checking out if you have not heard them
Under the Bushes and Bee Thousand are GBV top albums. Alien Lanes is also a favorite of mine. This last album was some sort of break through album in Europe at the time.
Thanks Hanna. Looking forward to checking out that Iced Bears s/t. Love your ever changing vinyl wall with some of my long time favorites today, including Chameleons, Big Star, Jesus and Mary Chain, Undertones. Just pre ordered new Sparklehorse album, Bird Machine on Opaque vinyl. VERY exited to get that one! I have to assume you've seen the David Byrne film True Stories from the 80s. Gratitude.
The record in the far right corner reminded me of one of Norway’s most popular bands, C.C. Cowboys, who in turn are named after a song by one of Swedens best known bands Imperiet 😊
I was thinking that the Jesus artist got a lovechild with Jesus and Marychain and gave birth to Amyl and the Sniffers 😂
Lots of inspiration there Hanna 😊
YAY!!! The Wolgang Press!!! One of my favourite bands. I saw them at the 9:30 club in D.C. in 1986. Grab Their 1st. "The Burden Of Mules" very dark post punk. Love your stuff!
I saw GBV on their Isolation Drills tour. They did such a furious version of Cut Out Witch that even I was exhausted. I hoisted myself up to sit on the edge of the stage, soaked in sweat, and Pollard reached into his bucket of beers and handed me one! They ended the show with the sloppiest version of Baba O' Riley ever. It was pretty awesome.
Great list Hanna. I remember listening to the Wolfgang Press in the eighties. I have their RSD release Unremembered Remembered. Slowdive is my favorite Shoegaze band. Got the new album but haven't spun it yet.
Hi Hanna!
I like your display behind you!
I’ve fallen down yet another rabbit hole recently. A band I knew about but for some reason never explored at all… Swans.
Wow! Just wow!
Hey Murray! I haven't made my way to Swans yet. Where do you suggest I start? I'm a little intimidated by their catalog! Hope all is well!
@@TheOmahaIntrovert
I’m just working my way through their catalog myself, Hanna.
May I suggest checking out Oliver from Deep Cuts channel. He did a deep dive into all things Swans which is quite informative. He has a rather astounding level of knowledge about a wide range of music and his taste seems to mirror mine quite closely. A very interesting CZcams channel indeed!
Happy hunting!
Hello Hanna, great t-shirt and always a great collection of music behind you!!! i only have cds lol hope the album of the cowboy junkies will re-released soon , it's a masterpiece, and the cover of lou reed's "sweet jane" is the best ever !!!!!the bauhaus ep cover is really cool !!! slint, very weird lol !!!! teenage jesus and the jerks are very cool-love it , love the roughness of the guitar !!! i had the same feelings about the kraftwerk album, but the more i listen to i find this is a masterpiece , love "radioland" !!!!! 14 iced bears is cool , like a good copy of my bloody valentine !!!!! the march violets are cool, i just order a cd box set , the same with the exploding hearts, fantastic band !!!!!! i just received the slowdive cd today, but i don't have listen to yet, just get back from work at 9 pm , then eat and now on youtube, i will listen to this soon !!!!! the wolfgang press is you right like a p.i.l version !!!!! love guided by voices , i have the album "do the collapse" !!!!! great video Hanna , till next time byyyyye !!!! 😉😊😇😍
As soon as I saw the exploding hearts record I impulsively started yelling lyrics to thorns in roses (woah woah)
Hi Hanna! Always enjoy your videos & discover new things. Who else on CZcams shares my taste in both jangle pop AND no wave among many other things! Thanks for highlighting 14 Iced Bears. I’ve ignored them until now, but have listened to that first album and early singles as a result of your video (as I did a while back with Close Lobsters) & will be picking up whatever I can get on CD (alas sold my vinyl collection in the 2000s, so I’m sticking with CDs). According to Discogs, their early singles are on a collection called In the Beginning and that first album on Let the Breeze Open Our Hearts. Love Exploding Hearts too. Recommend if you don’t already have it the Shattered compilation, as it contains their brilliant debut single Making Teenage Faces/Your Shadow and an awesome cover of “Sniffin’ Glue” from obscure 70s punk band FU2.
Hi Hannah.. My first post somehow vanished.. Anyway, the best GbV records where with Tobin Sprout, IMHO.. My fave is my first record of theirs, “Vampire on Titus”.. Pollard and Sprout almost like Lennon and Macca (or the Davies Bros.. lol) on that.. You need to check out Sprout’s solo effort, and his band, Eyesinweasel.. His photorealistic water color art is fantastic too (Tim Allen owns most of them).. Although Pollard released books on his own pop art too.. The latest GbV incarnation has an album I really dig, “Sweating the Plague”.. with the single, Heavy Like The World..
I got into The March Violets because of “Deep” when it came out in the 80’s.. Then saw them in a cameo in Some Kind of Wonderful.. I’m showing my age😅..
Hi Hanna! What a great idea for, and a great video! Really cool pick ups for the week/recent times. I haven't picked up the Slowdive record yet, but you know it is on my list ha ha. I was blown away by the single that they released a bit ago "Kisses", and turned a few of my coworkers on to it. If the album is equal to that, I am in for a treat. Thanks for the heads up on the black variant being limited. That is so strange 🤔I have not heard that Exploding Hearts album yet but I love the Undertones, so I am sure that it is a winner. Not to mention Third Man Records being near me in Detroit, so it should be an easy pick up. The past few years I was able to find originals of the Undertones self titled record and Hypnotised used at local record shows, and both changed my life. I meant to tell you: I was reading the other day that there is a documentary coming out soon on Material Issue called Out Of Time. Looks phenomenal! Also, have you seen the Adrian Borland/Sound documentary Walking In The Opposite Direction? Really sad, but incredible at the same time. Gets into how his Dad was the sound engineer at their house for Jeopardy. Really DIY cool stuff. Anywho thanks again for the musical inspiration, and keep on rocking Hanna!
First time I ever heard Wolfgang Press was their track “Cut the Tree” contributing to the Lonely is an Eyesore LP from 4AD. Awesome! And I was hooked.
Cheers Hanna!
That Lonely Is an Eyesore has been on my wishlist! It can be kind of pricy but it's an amazing comp! Wolfgang Press were brilliant!
I like these rankings Hanna. Wolfgang Press are underrated, loved Kansas. The Lydia Lunch LP Hysterie 1976-1986 is a compilation of Teenage Jesus, Beirut Slump, Eight Eyed Spy and Slow Choke stuff, worth checking out.
Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this ranking, Alan! I'll check out that comp of Lydia Lunch you mentioned. Enjoying how unique she is! Cheers!
Hey Hanna, love seeing The Wolfgang Press getting some love. My favorite songs of Bird Wood Cage are, well, the whole first side. Loving the new Slowdive, and it's one of those albums you know will keep growing on you. Great records you showed, cheers!
Back in the 80s I had a March Violets album but it didn't immediately grab me and I sold it. Maybe I should hear them again. I definitely need to check out 14 Iced Bears. Somewhere else I heard about them just within the last few days so I must be getting some message.
Hey there, Ed! Definitely give the March Violets another chance!
14 Iced Bears are worth checking out. Funny that you've heard them mentioned a few times the past few days. Seems like a nudge to get you to sample them! Cheers!
Good Morning 🌄 Hanna ! - The new Slowdive reveals more on each listen & is almost assuredly my favorite album of the year. They are such an unpredictable band & what a nice sequence the album has. It's beautiful. Saw The Wolfgang Press in 1988 supporting that album & opening for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Memorable evening. Mike Thorne Produced that debut Til Tuesday album & I love the deep cuts You Know The Rest & Watch Me Bleed. RIP to the Dream Weaver Gary Wright 🎹
I love the Wolfgang Press especially their 90's music. I really need to pick up the Slowdive album. To be honest Slowdive-Souvlaki has always been my top shoegaze album by a mile. I just saw that March Violets recently in the used bin and wasn't sure what it was. Just picked up The Smithereens- Green Thoughts and 11 and I forgot how much I liked those albums back in the day.
I enjoyed the format Hanna. Good stuff. Rock on!
Hey there, Brian! Thanks for tuning into this one! Rock on, and hope all is well up north!
Nice idea Hanna. Even better if you rated them as well.
For some reason, after watching this video, I wanted to listen to the Psychedelic Furs. Now I wonder what put that band into my mind.
Thanks, Paul! It was fun ranking my purchases for something different! And I love Psychedelic Furs! What a band! Cheers!
I have another Exploding Hearts album on cd. I can’t recall it’s name but it is a compilation.
Hey Neil! I'll look up the Exploding Hearts comp! Enjoy your evening!
Yeah H that’s a good format, it went by quick.
That Badfinger album must be a later press because it has the font on it. The ones i remember had no writing.
I have Radio Activity og with big stamplike stickers. I like the Autobahn the best.❤
Great stuff as always, Hanna! I'm always inspired by your deep cuts! (at least to me they're deep cuts!) Love that Bauhaus album! Very cool!
Wow, Wolfgang Press! I particularly like the albums “Queer” and “Funky Little Demons”. Was introduced to them in 1991 via the single “A Girl Like You” and have been a fan ever since.
Kansas by Wolfgang Press is such a great song. The vid is really weird ! I’ve never ever paid any attention to Slowdive , but all the new tracks I’ve heard are becoming a big ear worm!
Interesting purchases as usual! Heard of some of those artists but not others... I used to have early 45s by Teenage Jesus. I would probably like that 14 Iced Bears LP as well as that Exploding Hearts record! I do like Guided By Voices - have a couple of their earlier CDs but never saw the LP you showed. I did recently buy a batch of LPs - I liked the 2 BlackJacks LPs and Sleater-Kinney but didn't like The Jam, "The Gift" LP at all - sounded too tinny and over-produced and the drums sounded fake (even though they credit a drummer) - not like the real energy of their earlier stuff.
I remember back in the early 2000's the Exploding Hearts were going around to various online music forums promoting the demo tracks for what would become Guitar Romantic. To this day I prefer the demo tracks to the official release which ended up sounding a bit tepid in comparison, but still great.
Love the ranking format! Great records too. Gonna have to check out Wolfgang Press now!
Nice ranking Hanna! The only one of these I have on vinyl is the Guided By Voices LP. Love it! Stay well.
So glad you enjoyed this different ranking! Yay for loving GBV! Cheers!
I am deeply, DEEPLY, disappointed that the new Slowdive wasn't your #1. lol! Seriously though, I just LOVE that album. It's such a miraculous mix of melancholy and joy. The sounds, from bass to vocals, just blow me away. Really happy that you liked it, too!
As always, great presentation and enthusiasm. I haven't bought an album in 20 years but love when you present an album thats in my collection. Slint's "Tweeze" in this case. I HIGHLY recommend, if you run across a Squirrel Bait record. Very heavy, hook laden, post punk with a pre-Slint band member. Sounds nothing like Slint. They're better. Squirrel Bait cited and championed by Bob Mould, Jeff Tweedy and Dave Grohl as "great."
Anyway, can't wait for your next episode. Have fun and stay safe.
I like this format more please.
A diverse mix Hannah. I totally get your ranking. Radioactivity is my favourite Kraftwerk album. It’s such an innovative and influential album, you can hear direct references to it in early 80s electronic works from Human League and OMD (in fact Dazzle Ships is a total homage to it). Clearly less melodic than later releases but an important moment in the development of electronic music. You got it for under 10 bucks! Bargain.
Hey there, Brett! I can appreciate that Radio-Activity is your favorite from Kraftwerk! It is very innovative indeed! Pretty amazing how ahead of the game they were! I'm glad I got such a fantastic deal on it! I enjoy reading your comments!
My favorite as well! Got my original copy I picked up in 1978. Was wondering between this and Autobahn, which my friends had. Saw this and the cover said ELECTRONIC!
Awesome that you are expanding your GBV collection! I would highly recommend grabbing his solo and side project albums if you come across them as well. I consider a lot of his non GBV stuff to be easily as good as GBV proper.
Feeling like Meg Ryan in ‘When Harry Met Sally”, each record building up to the climax. Seeing the Exploding Hearts …KA-BOOM!!! “I’ll have what she’s having.” Excellent, indeed, excellent! 💕
After years and years of leaving GBV on the back burner, I finally got my first GBV record last month. A friend gifted me Propeller and I can’t believe I’ve been missing such awesomeness.
I think I can say without any hesitation or doubt that you're the hippest person in Nebraska
Good lord, I have every one of those albums behind you on the bottom! ( and a few on the top )
Rock on y'all ! 🤘😎🤘
I love that Wolfgang Press Birdwood Cage album! I've had it.on CD since its initial release. I still listen to it often. Great pick!
Thanks for mentioning the Exploding Hearts. I have been eyeing a purchase of this for years and had no idea Third Man put out a remaster. Just ordered and arrives Monday!
Good stuff yet again 👍 x

And I have forget this details, the two CJ,first album US press, and live album UK press, and Open, brazilian press,of course!!!!!!!
Some great pick ups! Love that Kraftwerk!
Awesome ranking on the 10 vinyls you bought lately, Hanna! I didn't expect to see Bauhaus dead last. That Slowdive must be a really great comeback to rank in the top 5.
Loved this. Always interested to hear what you've been into recently - you've made me want to check out the new Slowdive. My first and still maybe favourite GBV was Sunfish Holy Breakfast!
The Slowdive is amazing, nice pickup
Thanks Hannah really like all your front facing bin choices ! Great selection
I listen to Autobahn often! They were way ahead!
Thanks very much for the video!
Nice video! Many I never heard, some familiar groups as well. I also picked up Third Man’s reissue of The Exploding Hearts album, brilliant stuff!
Hanna! That Exploding Hearts album used to be a bit spendy to track down on CD. Looks like there are several on ebay now. If any of your viewers don't know it, but love punky power pop -- it's a winner.
Hello, just wanted to tell you that sweden biggest newspaper DN had a big article on Slowdive yesterday and I have seen Kraftwerk live they didnt move.......
Love GBV!! Faves are Alien Lanes and Isolation Drills!
Robert Pollard's Coast To Coast Carpet Of Love was pretty great too.
So much GBV can't keep up. Great show as usual...
Love all those records in the background too!
Hi Hanna, hope all is well. "Look at Them" from Under the Bushes Under the Stars is my favorite track by GBV and I really need to find that version you have with the extras. Take Care, Frank
Thanks Frank, and it's great to hear from you! Look at Them is a phenomenal track! I think you'd love this issue of Under the Bushes Under the Stars! Hope you can grab a copy for your collection!
Man, haven't been to 402 Vinyl in awhile. Also still haven't been to Grapefruit, tried once but they were closed for some family event. Never get downtown often enough but seeing your finds really makes me want to get in there. I also need to get that Exploding Hearts album, heard such great things
The second time saw the Close Lobsters, was in the back room of a pub in Bedford in late 1988 or early 89, memory fades, but I do remember that there were only about eight other people in the audience all of whom were there to see the support band Mega City Four. I saw The Close Lobsters a couple of other times thankfully, I forget exactly where but, with the Shop Assistants and Soup Dragons in 1986, the actual NME C86 show at the ICA, but I believe that that Bedford gig was a special low point for them. I knew Andrew Burnett a little later in passing, as he worked at our local whole food store. Equally I saw I4 Iced Bears, supporting the Pastels, once or twice...I think in that period I saw the Pastels more than any other band. I loved Wolfgang Press.
Howdy Hanna! I noticed the maze on the back o' Everything Is Alive is the same as the one on the inside cover o' Rolling Stones-Their Satanic Majesties Request. Start at the bottom center openin' 'n try to work yer way through. Yes it leads to nowhere. Thanks fer the 14 Iced Bears recommendations. Diggin' Bee Thousand, 1st Kinks (I Took My Baby Home) 'n Man Machine. My fave Kraftwerk albums are Ralf And Florian 'n Autobahn 'n a cd compilation called The Model. Thanks fer another most enjoyable vinyl excursion!
Love that Talk Talk album behind you ❤
another nice collection you got there my friend and dont worry you still love cds because i am also a fan of them too
Thanks for the GBV review, I'd like to recommend Cool Planet to you. There is just so much it's kind of possible to ingest it all. Also, there is a stripped down, terrific version of Ironman song that Robert did for KCRW which is lovely.
Thanks Hanna for this video, I just love looking at what people are adding to their record collections, you've certainly given me some new albums to look out for and to give a listen to. Inspirational, informative and lot's of fun, so again thank you for this vid which fits into all of those catagories for me, so yeah. Keep these latest purchases vids coming....
I love to hear you talk about your music acquisitions always.
Such a great knowledge of whole areas of music that have passed me by and you describe them so well.
I'm still on a Happy Mondays trip and got Pills,Thrills etc and Live. I'll be looking at getting a set of 12" soon.
Just been listening to Emma Tricca recently and Tash Sultana.
Looking forward to the Who, Who's next reissue on vinyl but there's always a ton more!
Anyway thanks again I really enjoy your channel.
Fantastic selection of albums. So enjoyablel and interesting to watch. Trying to do more listening and less buying these days but always enjoy what people are picking up! Great video.
Hello. Once again, a real great video with nice LP's..Gonna check some I don't know. My favorite GBV album is "Alien Lanes" I think... and Bee Thousand...2 classic ones..Under the bushes is n°3 for sure...but the last albums are really really great! So great that you talk about Close Lobsters! I discovered them via the Wedding Present's cover of "Let's make some plans" on their "Hit Parade" comp. That's how I discoverd Bow Wow Wow too, with their cover of Go Wild In The Country. Cheers from Belgium!
Love that Wolfgang Press album. One of those bands that when I play a song from them amongst music heads, no one ever knows who it is and always emphatically ask "Who is this?!"
I saw the Exploding Hearts at SXSW in 2006.
Close Lobsters. Yup.
Hmmm, was there just one surviving member of the Exploding Hearts? Not sure how a show in 2006 would have been.
Haha and yeah, I imagine Wolfgang Press would be a band that would stump a lot of people who seemingly know a lot of music! Cheers to you!
@@TheOmahaIntrovert I may and am probably mixing up the exploding hearts with a similar band with a similar name.
Cheers.
Anybody appreciating Slint and GBV deserves a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. The music force is with you. Thanks again for your great reviews Hanna! My latest additions include cd’s by C-clamp, The Auteurs cd box, Can, Felt, My dad is dead, Cory Hanson, The Evens, Ida, Scrawl, Deerhoof, Smog, Bonnie Prince Billie and Deer Hunter. And of course the latest GBV on top of the pile to listen to on a rainy day.
Hi Hannah, as I have watched your musical horizons expand, I would enjoy your takes, reviews and rankings on all thing's music or beyond. Another cool video Thank you.
Off to see Slowdive in December loving the album also good video.
Hanna, cool ranking video. I’m not usually sucked in on ranking videos for a band’s discography. I like the year rankings cause it’s more diverse. But this rank is just like what is in front of me right now and I just got! This is a great list with records from 70’s, 80’s, and reissues and brand new releases. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman
Great video! And I have never seen any one talk about Wolfgang Press before! As if you were not high up there enough in my cool girl respect for you, it just rose another whole level! Lol. I’m an old dude but was raving to my friends about the Press in 1988 when I lived in Kansas. Keep it up! This is a cool subject matter for videos imo. I just ordered Slowdive new one because of your seal of approval!
Another excellent video and a great selection of Vinyl. I was pleased to see The March Violets Natural History album, I have listened to that album so many times over the years. If you get chance check out The Batfish Boys which was a later music project by Simon Denbigh from The March Violets.
Wow lots of good news music coming out from the classic rock band s so cool
UTBUTS is a top five Robert Pollard album for me. Its GBV’s version of the White Album. I forget how familiar you are with Tommy Keene, but the album he did with Bob called Keene Brothers is incredible and right up your alley.
I absolutley waht love you do!! I know i turned you on to the Radio Birdman But if you love the Jangle Pop I havent seen you show Bram Thaikovsky Strange Man Changed Man out The Motors!! You will LOVE this record!!
I am moving out to Omaha next week. My record collection won't be coming out with me right away, as I have to get set up first. (I am just going to be in an AirBNB at first.) But it looks like I will be able to keep the collection growing once I am settled in!
Hi lm new to your channel, which is great by the way.
A while back you were talking about Bauhaus...& you mentioned an lp called, press the eject & give me the tape...
Over here in the UK it came with the sky's gone out.
It was limited but
don't know how many copies had it in..?
Hope this helps....
All the best from the UK 😀
Close Lobsters - go for the gold. Such intense jingle jangle pop. What a band! The new Slowdive album is phenomenal. Each track has so many subtle textures. Neil Halstead did a helluva job producing the album.
Kraftwerk's "Radio-Activity" LP, magical.
Red Lorry Yellow Lorry...made my mind jump to the Fire Engines, who I haven't listened to for decades...and I think there are musical similarities...but you likely know this...
Diggin the TH tee! I saw an ad about some kind of anniversary edition of Stop Making Sense but not quite certain what that means i.e. is it being released in theatres? Have you heard anything about this? I'll probably just end up googling the deets, but just thought I'd ask you jic you happen to know. On a dif note, lookin forward to RSD Black Friday! Thanx for the great vids, Hannah! Take care.👍🙂
14 Iced Bears were actually from Brighton not London. I saw them play the Jericho Tavern, Oxford first time around. I bootlegged the show and sent a tape to one of the band who sent me a personal letter and signed photo back to say thanks
Slowdive. Incredible that they get better every decade . And yes, Chained To A Cloud is the standout. By FAR best thing I’ve heard all year. My only issue is that it’s too short. Some songs could go on for over 10 minutes they are so beautiful.
(Love this topic BTW)
Hey, Hanna ! New here, from Brazil. Lovin' U & vids !!! U know 2 much ! U have 2 much !!! Love Lobsters & Bears !!! U should tell da people 'bout Sarah Records !!! U RULE, grrl !!! And U gorgeous !!!
💿 💘 March Violets 💘 🎼 🌹
I Saw Them Live BaCK In The DaY... San Francisco. Art Motel Club Nine. SOMA district.... Was Working Trailways Coach Lines Front Desk..... Took Taxi To See The Show While Working... Got BaCK A little Late.... Bus Foe Los Angeles. Needed tickets and Baggage serviced 💻 🚌
It Happened. GLAd I Made The Extra Effort..... 🇬🇧 🎼 💘
Another enjoyable video.
Mmm, Lydia Lunch. If any of you folks would like to have a bit of an adventure, you may like to try, Lydia Lunch - "The Agony is the Ecstasy". It is the other side of The Birthday Party’s "Drunk on the Pope's Blood". It is worth a try. I have always found it fab and groovy. (“Kiss of Death from the boy of my dreams”)
Regarding Kraftwerk, my love used to start with "Autobahn" and then skip over to "The Man Machine" and beyond. If you find yourself in the same position, I would like to pass on a mental exercise that has help me:
The next time that you are with a chap or chappette and they give you a cup of tea, what music will you listen to? Well imagine that you are David Bowie, the other person is Iggy Pop and you are in Berlin. What will you probably listen to? There is a strong chance that it will be either Kraftwerk "Radio-Aktivität" (1975) or "Trans Europa Express" (1977). I hope that this tip will help to expand your appreciation.
All the best.
Thanks, David! My Lydia Lunch journey is new, so I can't wait to check out more. I appreciate that recommendation of The Agony Is the Ecstasy. I shall give it a sample. And I choose Trans Europe Express over Radio-Activity but I have much appreciation for Radio-Activity! Thank you for your thoughts!
ranking recent finds is a good idea. sort of on the lines of a "if you like this then..." video. the shows down in the states seem to have better records. its the same old crap up here.
Hey there! I guess it really depends on the show. I've been to a few that were duds. I hope you have better luck in the future where you are! Thanks for checking in. Glad you liked this topic!
I would consider that Radio Activity more of an early Industrial record than Electronica like their later stuff, maybe that's why you didn't connect right away. Myfav💙bythem.
Amazing
Dis gal is into da NEW STUFF
What’s cool in amaha😊
I saw Lydia Lunch's documentary with her sitting in front of me at a gallery a couple years ago..She talked the entire time and I could hardly hear the interviews. Then after a wild Q&A, she have a girl in the audience a haircut with a razorblade..weird night
I like the earlier experimental Kraftwerk, but my favourites are Trans Europe Express, and Autobahn. I have to say I think the later stuff, like Computer World, and Pocket Calculator, I really have to be in the mood for, or they just irritate me.
You should check out Trentemoller albums Memoria and The Last Resort.
Hello 👱♀Hanna; Hope all is well & you enjoyed a nice Labor Day weekend. Like the T.H. T- shirt, color & design. Very good vinyl ranking of your 10 latest record acquisitions. Informative & well explained. A eclectic range of rock, pop, punk, post punk, new wave, & indie. A "NO BABBLE " presentation. Take Care, 🙎♀Tina & 🙎♂Pat!
