Did those ARP bolts work out for you? Got part numbers?

Yes, they work great. I do not have a part number and they are not advertised in the ARP catalog. You have to call the tech support line and place the order over the phone. You have to order 12 individual studs, washers and nuts. Give me a minute and I will get you the dimensions of the stud. They only have one kind of head stud with the dimensions I’m going to give you and they have a nut and washer that comes with it you just have to tell them that you want 12 of each of them as well. If I remember correctly it’ll set you back $263 or so for everything.

      Width: M9
      Thread Pitch: 1.25
      Overall Length: 28mm
      Material: ARP 2000
They do not come with any type of instructions due to it being a “universal stud” and it has a recommended minimum torque value of 40ft/lbs. I’m not sure if there’s any other Cruze owners that have used these arp head studs so it was hard to reference which torque value would be enough to hold under extreme engine when running a higher than stock redline. After consulting a few reputable enthusiasts I decided to go with 30ft/lbs then 55ft/lbs and my final value of 70ft/lbs.

I’ve driven roughly 450 miles with them and they have done their job flawlessly.

really appreciate it. I'm currently at 25psi on e85 but will be building another motor and would like to use studs...plus I don't like TTY bolts..lol

eddiefromcali yeah neither do I lol and honestly I don’t know why anyone removing the cylinder head wouldn’t switch to these studs, for $190-$200 more it kinda is worth it. I try to put it out there with the video and on the Facebook page but nobody ever seems interested. As popular as this engine is becoming to modify I don’t see why there’s not more people experimenting with head studs.
