It’s because He sprayed his hair, that’s the problem. Wait! Before you start shouting, hear me out.
Spraying your hair doesn’t really affect your talent or ability but it shows that you have started to shift focus from your football into your branding and appearance, it’s a distraction.
this may start to affect your performance on the pitch because you are not 100% focused on your football, you start to think highly of yourself and don’t accept blame or criticism. It’s actually psychological.
This is why sir alex was angry with Beckham, not every player has the focus and mentality of Cristaino Ronaldo.
It has happened to other players in the past,
Pogba, lingard, grealish and now rashford.
This is the reason, the army wont allow you to maintain any glamorous hairstyle. You have to stay focus.

I get what you’re saying but your argument is countered by neymar and Ron Ron and messi already. Although they are literally the three best players in the world. I think it’s more to do with confidence in game, his confidence has been so low that he is scared to do what he used to in case of being ridiculed, yet he can’t even do the basics because it’s so unconfident. Someone said that you could be the best football player ever, yet if you have no confidence on the pitch, while next to an average player with confidence you will look worse and be more of a liability. “An average player with confidence is better than an amazing player with no confidence”
I agree the tattoos, jewellery, hairstyles. You could see the change he became a celebrity. The truth is he still and even this video shows he has no end product. He doesn’t slow things down at key times. He should have been training this skill but instead he let the millions get to him. Neymar was poised to be the next big thing after the Messi and Ronaldo era but look what he has become. @@isaiahgere9283 I just can’t imagine Rashford as having that kind of outlook. What I will say tho, is I think Goldbridge explained it decently. It’s to do with pride. After Ole continuously picked rashy through thick and thin (although Rashford was playing decently most of the time), to have a new *interim* manager decide not to pick you even if you’re a big name and have lots of followers or whatever, probably damaged his pride a lot. Therefore he may have come unto the pitch unbothered and lacklustre as he doesn’t respect ralf.
What I think tho, is that although pride may have played some part, it’s completely about his confidence. He’s been getting played through thick and thin with ole which always gave him a buffer, or a safety net in his performances. Therefore he, maybe, took more risks, or eased himself whenever playing because he knew he would most likely have another chance. However, a new interim manager has now come in, seen his quality, and dropped him. Now he’s fearful of taking risks and even when he does, he’s always limited by his confidence so he performs all his moves poorly. And this is the main point.
THIS then transcends into becoming unbothered, wishing the game would just END when playing, you’re subbed on, after a few minutes not performing to how you visualised, or what you think you have to perform too in order to become a starter, or to get good feedback. You get “fed up” or become a shell of yourself as you now feel incapable. And although you are trying, it’s as if you are trying your hardest but it’s maxed/limited at 50% or 40%.
He then loses his way, doesn’t fulfil his role, doesn’t track back etc. because he’s in his own mind, chipping at himself down, in his own feelings.
That’s what I think is going on with Rashford, and that’s why I do feel for him although it really is frustrating.
I’d say Bruno is just a completely different case of pride in the midst of Ronaldo and wanting to stand out like he did when he joined, so he doesn’t do the basics well, the same way someone like mata would do even though he is capable.

@@isaiahgere9283 also I agree that neymar did get affected, but I think that was more to do with mental health and losing passion, as you could see in his documentary. He’s been getting pressure ever since he was young and fighting to live up to it. However once he joined PSG to stand out himself and really fight for the top spot in best player in the world, he got injured, then again and again and I think that’s how he lost passion, because he has money, and now he isn’t even playing the game, people already hate him now from the World Cup so what’s the point. You could even see that the 2019/20 season before lockdown he was looking big (as in fat)

This isn't a hate message but within these clips how many times does he run in to the opposition and lose the ball but we don't see it because the video is conveniently cut off

Got to be honest...rashford has always been a pace merchant. Average skill, alot of pace. I actually think his passing is underated. Used to have awesome interplay with luke shaw. Either way, sancho has everything rashford had and more. Always thought that rashford is a bench player at best in a title wining team

Rashford should go back and play alone in his garden. This player only knows how to play individually, there are a few dribbles that can be used over and over again, revealing all of them. Rashford does not know how to coordinate teammates, only dribbling until he is too mysterious to have to push the ball away.

I think if the team starts playing well again and there's less pressure he'll be back. The negativity around the club and all the criticism hurled at the likes of him, Maguire, etc. as scapegoats is not helping. But he needs to bounce back soon or else he'll have to be moved on.

a good fottballer needs he hasnt developed one single thing sence we took him from u 23 and put him in the A-team. Not one single thing. This is player who makes his 7-8 season in PL.
In his defence the coaches were never good enough to begin with. And they changed a lot between managers as well. It was just a mess. At least now he has proper coaches around him.

As a striker, above average with a potential to be great
As a winger, average with pace and nothing more. He's not great at dribbling and lot of his opportunities come from defender errors. Loose control, poor vision of his teammates (runs with head down), average shot with his right foot (power, no precision), non-existent weak foot and below average heading. Engine like none other but in this past season, he's been poor there as well, almost acting like a luxury player.
He should go back to focusing on 1 position instead of wanting to play across the top, he's stretched himself too thin and there's been no good managers to help him improve his game unfortunately.
Thankfully Sancho may get different soon and hopefully won't regress like he and Martial have done. Players still need to be coached well so it's not Rashford's fault, he's in a bad team at a crucial time in his career.

I would argue that all he really needs is; his pace, a left foot and quicker finishing. We've seen how he takes on players and gets past them but doesn't fire the shot quick enough or fires some dead shot. You are right about alot of those things though. He shouldn't be drifting in like that because he would have Ronaldo in the box. Instead he can just pace abuse the right back and get in a low or high cross.

The problem with Rashford is he tried to play a game that is not his. His game is all about being direct, running into channel and taking players on instead of standing still, looking to come inside or trying play making. Even in this video, he dribbled a lot with scoring lil. If Ronaldo dribbles this same amount of dribbles, he scored nearly the same. Ronaldo dribbles once twice and shoots. Rashford tried to dribble once twice then goes past then instead of shooting, he repeats the same process. Someone needs to knock some sense into him
