WESTERN DRESSAGE INTRO TEST 4 // 📝 Scores and Comments - August 2022 - It was a HOT one! 🥵

We nearly melted during this test - it was SO HOT! I did a few takes and my glasses were sliding off my face, so I rode this test without glasses. Dakota and I rode and submitted the WDAA Intro Test 4 in the Better Dressage Scores August 2022 virtual dressage show.
I was really focused on preforming precise maneuvers for this test - making it all the way to each cone, straight lines and round circles. I'm not saying they were all perfect but considering our lack of impulsion, I was happy with our straightness - now I just need to get him rounder, on the bit, coming through over his topline which means more ACTIVE hind legs!

Why am I on CZcams and what can you expect from this channel? I feel empowered to share my story and Dakota's story because I know there are people out there in the same boat we are; maybe my channel will help them in some way. Dakota is a senior horse who has spent most of his life grazing in a pasture. He wasn't really broke to ride until he was in his teens. I've had to overcome obstacles that prevented him from being ridden earlier in his life - finances, distance, time, and fear. Now, we trust each other and are both enjoying western dressage.
I'll share any dressage tests I ride, virtual or live (even the bad ones), with scores and comments from the judge. I'll give vlogging a try . . . which is scary, but I'm in this now! Any other horse-related content that I think could be worth sharing (DIYs, fashion, organization) could become a video.
I have ambitions to progress through intro level dressage to basic level next Spring. I'd like to give the WDAA International Online Challenge a try and maybe we will qualify for the WDAA world show?

Thanks for watching! I'm thinking a lot about the test I want to do in September -should I redo intro test 2, 3, or 4 OR give intro test 1 a go? I think I am just going to do one test in September but pay a little extra to get the extra feedback from the judge. Let me know what you think!
