    So Scott after relooking at your truck my thinking was so wrong. After looking at a lot of Kevin Wilson sbc his youtube channel helped me tune my shocks. I think like you said your front end is real free and needs to not "top out" so fast. If your front shocks were more on a 70/30 setting letting the front lift bit slower the weight transfer would stay in longer. If your shocks didn't top out until after 40-50 feet out that would be much better. When the front tops out and starts back down you lose the weight transfer. Your truck is spinning bad when the front is coming back down. Good luck and have a great 2023. You will see 9s soon.

    Engine sounded great, will be looking very forward to watching your suspension tuning results with the new shocks, I plan on learning on my Caltrac shocks front and rear. Was the 10.6 on your windshield straight engine?

    Scott, I took my grandkids to the dragstrip last Saturday for the first time. I don't know about anybody else but I sure had fun. Great fall weather, the smell of burning rubber, and the roar of modified engines; I had a big smile on my face. My wife's first time going to the drag race's, same with the kids. All had fun on our great family outing. Thanks for the video, the truck looks slick.

    Looking good Scott, all it takes is seat time, the more you get of it the better you’ll do, and there always bugs that need to be worked out, I took my nova out this last weekend, i couldn’t get ahold of the track, I was all over the place so I made two passes or not there of and loaded up and came home, but again looking good

      Thanks Lance! I’m looking tword next year, hopefully by then I’ll have the major house projects done and I’ll be able to focus on seat time

    Scott good to hear you got some track time going through all your engine builds I can't see why your 60' times aren't in the 1.48 to 1.52 with your rear gear a 5000 converter and 13 to 1. If your rear could stay squatted so you could hold your wheels up tell your speed is higher you may not do the double wheel hop. I wouldn't change a thing tell I got 20 passes with different track preps.

    I'm glad to see another video! I wondered what your motor would do on nitrous. How much was you putting to it to get that 570 to the wheel? I'm also building a 383 stroker and would like to go the route of a tunnel ram and fogger system. But we'll just have to see. 🤑😬🤣

  • @curtisdanielsforservice4131

    Scott thanks for the shout out. You always make a good video. Someday we may line up. I am working on a new transmission

    What’s causing that stumble with nitrous?

    • @ordinaryguygarage3667
      @ordinaryguygarage3667  Před rokem

      The stumble was caused by the jetting being way off.. The kit I used was a older kit that had been sitting around awhile. NOS had the jetting recommendations really rich back then
