I enjoy your channel and the ideas you have. Knife tips from a former executive chef. Place a section of rug gripper or textured shelf liner with a waffle pattern texture, cut to fit, underneath your cutting board. It will prevent it from slipping and sliding. A damp rag also works well. Take your thumb and forefinger and grip the top of the knife blade just after the shank of the knife and curl the rest of your fingers firmly around the knife handle, you have no control over the knife that way. Last thing is ALWAYS round your fingers so the tips point downward and your knuckles are out so there is less chance of cutting your fingers.

The 3 black jars w/faux succulents were fun & quick I could see them in our formal living room on the long coffee table with a huge slate table top. Of course the ferns turned feathers I especially like. Thanks Liz always learning something new.

I do fluid pours and they are so much fun. If you add Floetrol and a little water then use a ornate vase you will get a very unique pattern. They vases and canvases look great. When completely dry seal them with any sealer.

I have that same color Seaglass spray paint. I love it! My DT finally had the huge planters back so I picked up 4 of them! 😁 I love those ferns too! All of your diy projects turned out beautifully! I love how you did the handles for the basket. I have a lot of leftover yarn to use, so I'm going to use this idea. One thing I saw on another channel, is using a small clothing steamer to steam the tassels so they hung straighter!
My five grandchildren are coming for 2 weeks, and I think the pouring paint method would be so much fun to do with them.... outside of course😂😂

Just remember, the Prang paints are a Tempera paint, and in this case, washable, so keep the vase inside and away from rain or water because it DOES wash away. The Prang paints are good and come ready-prepared (You don't have to mix with water). Great for projects with the kids because it's easy to wash off. LOVE that vase made from the water bottle with the Dollar Tree ferns, though. Awesome idea.

Back in the 80's (the era of speckling everything) we would use a cheap toothbrush dipped in thinned paint, then use your thumb to drag across the bristles and it will flick the paint. You can adjust your speckling by changing how you flick the bristles and how close you get to the thing you are painting - it can be from a mist to large drops. The cheaper the toothbrush the better because they are stiffer.
That is exactly what I was thinking about.
