Babar is a very good batman but lousy as a captain. To be a great captain, you have to go way back in the past to Imran Khan or Miandad. They lead from the front and weren't scared of losing. They made tough decisions and accepted when their team was outplayed and didn't offer lame excuses !! They were the type of captains who didn't look scared or worried if they lost the tosd. Plus tactical knowledge of theirs on field placing and game awareness is something Babar can only dream about. We celebrate Babar records and we should but not at the expense of the team!! Also even if we look at his achievements they don't look to good against our main rivals India which was not the case with Miandad and Imran. Just as the Australians look at their performances of their superstars against arch rivals England. So Babar has a long way to go to even in terms of batting esp in crunch situations. Even the legendary Sachin didn't cut it as a captain so Babar can look at that example. But Sachin played as a member of the team and played superbly under captains who were junior to him. That is a great example for Babar to follow. He doesnt have the DNA to lead Pakistan to cup glory, nothing to be ashamed about and better for Babar and the team that he quickly accept the writing on the wall.

Possibly, SA engourage him to keep independent thoughts away from Babar and should be a contender for leading pakistan team.
