This gives, "hand made" a whole new meaning. The lady does all of this with designs that are in her memory. The blue prints and the building materials, specifications, the order in which things are to be done, are recalled from memory as she goes along with her work. What an amazing human being God bless her.🙏

They may not use machinery (odds are they do for the digging at the very least), but there is definitely a team of people at work here.
Which is not to degrade from this, its still nice and relaxing to watch, but the rate at which their videos are uploaded makes one person doing this by hand incredibly unlikely.

Hey you. Yes, you. You're probably scrolling through the comments, like I am, reading all these motivational comments. If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you.
For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, maybe get some exercise, and probably work on things, that i have been postponing, while I wait for my office to start. I think it's pretty boring because of coronavirus, but I know it'll end eventually, and things will start to brighten up again. Another advantage she had is that in her country (southeast Asia somewhere?) the clay is perfect for sculpting. The soil conditions are not so ideal everywhere. Seriously though, iw was miserable. Just a constant, steady light rain. Everything was damp and rotted. The next season was somewhere more tropical, with just jungles of bamboo. The difference in the shelters they were able to build between both seasons were VASTLY different. With the first few days everyone on season 2 looked like they built the kind of huts you rent for $1500/day on some resort.
Season 1 they were there for a few months with little more than lean-to for shelter.

@timwhite I live near Labrador, which is a northern boreal forest region (as is pretty much most of Canada, except for the Arctic which is tundra). I'm surrounded by woods. The best thing to build for wilderness survival is a log house (like Dick Proenneke's log cabin, which he built without electric tools on his own, such as a hand drill and long saw and adze and hatchet and mallet)
but one can also build a more temporary shelter with a few basic tools as Athos Outdoor Prospector
(on youtube) does with just a hatchet-hammer and adze and a bit of twine. One can also find a lot of old abandoned huts in the woods all over Canada and repair them. Wintering in Canada in the woods is the real challenge. Few people are up to it. Those that do it, live in log cabins. It would be too cold in a lean-to, though I met a hermit in B.C. once who was doing that and he trapped martens for food. But he in was in bad shape physically, very thin, and I'm sure he's dead now. I also met some natives living way out in the bush in a fishing camp in a log hut. They caught and steamed fish and hunted moose. A lot of people make stoves out of old oil drums, but I like the idea shown in the Athos videos of making a stove out of clay and rocks - though I'd worry what would happen to it a heavy rain. In the early summer the great challenge would be the mosquitos and blackflies. You need bug dope for that. I canoe most summers in August when they're mostly dead. Long-term survival would be a challenge. I think the best bet for some kind of long-term wilderness survival scenario (i.e. if society collapses and it's necessary) is to have a pickup truck with 4 wheel drive loaded with a canoe and survival gear on standby and enough canned and dry food for at least a couple of years ready to go, and a map for a good area you're headed to. Canada is one of the best places for this in the world, because it's so vast and remote -- but the conditions are harsh and you'd really have to know what you're doing and be in good shape to make it. The best bet is to establish a remote cabin for when things get bad later (and I believe they will, what with talk of nuclear war and more plandemics down the pike and totalitarian government overreach). Good time to be a preppper. I like these videos because they show that with some knowhow and work survival is possible with just a few basic tools. I don't have much faith in industrial society anymore, to be honest. The elites are going full authoritarian on us. Expect a lot of preppers and eco-villages off the grid to spring up these days.

Also the next video for me was the same woman building a "castle" in the exact same spot as where this one was built.
Lastly if you look closely you will there are dirt spots on her legs and clothes, they don't move which means all of this was done in a single day and not a full day since we never see anything close to sunset or sundown, which is impossible using the techniques she's using. Just doing all the knots on the wood part of the roof should have taken most of the day.
