    Ware looks like he could switch between the 4 and 5 as needed - especially if his 3 is falling at the NBA level. The Heat could use him with Bam potentially or Jovic potentially. The Kings could use a shot blocking 4 next to Sabonis. That’s him potentially going in the teens. Edey is what he is, and good at it, but fits in less spots.

    Ware has motor questions & Oregon all claimed he was "lazy". But when I watched Edey dive for the ball while Ware just stood there, when they played each other in Bloomington, I knew Ware wasn't gonna make it. Edey can't shoot but literally EVERYTHING else is ALL Big Z if we're comparing

      @@NoahF-2011 ya i dont think he watches basketball. Edey dominates the paint so much that painter doesn't ask him to play outside the paint. The 50% 3pt % is a inside joke with purdue fans because at his combine last yr he was drilling 3 pointers without missing. Hes got that skill in his bag and nobody knows about it because his job is to dominate down low and create open shots for his boys. Thats why if u hear us say hes a career 3 pt 100% @ Mackey or his career 3pt % is 50% its an inside joke.

  • @therockneverstops8261
    @therockneverstops8261 Před 2 měsíci

    Zach Edey should go to a veteran team and should be more sought after because of the salary cap and talent in the NBA teams can’t afford to use lottery picks on guys who will be in the G-League for a year or two versus a contributor on a rookie deal, which is extremely valuable.

      @@falconhoward4032 that’s fine, there’s been a ton of instances of players excelling at the college level and not panning out in the NBA. Insinuating that Edey shouldn’t be drafted after guys who he “dominated 1on1” in college doesn’t make sense

    • @falconhoward4032
      @falconhoward4032 Před měsícem +2

      @@manny24lal none of them were ever this dominant. The only guys who have put up numbers like this were Hall of Famers in the NBA. His size translates. His strength translates. His footwork translates. His body control translates. His FT shooting translates. His rim protection translates. Yeah he's more of a niche player you have to adapt your system to, but you just can't pass on someone this dominant. The knocks on him were that "he can't shoot" and "he's too slow" but he tested better than most of the Centers at the Combine in those areas

    • @manny24lal
      @manny24lal Před měsícem +3

      @@falconhoward4032 lol it seems you’re a lot higher on him than the consensus. I think he could be a solid backup big but not the hall of famer you’re making him out to be. His play style is outdated. The college game that Edey excelled in is simply far different from the NBA. Post ups in the league are far less frequent and he hasn’t show to be to a reliable 3 point shooter from the NBA line. He’s too slow footed to defend on the perimeter and teams are gonna put him in pick and rolls all game. There’s a reason he had the season he had in college yet isn’t even expected to go in the top 10 in a weak draft.

    Ware has a big problem with getting his motor running. It was that way at Oregon and he struggled getting going at IU until later in the season. All you have to do is look at his game stats. Just doesn't have the fire in his belly without someone staying on him and firing him up.

    Ware is too lazy, too soft, doesn't have great instincts or feel. Edey is massive, has a 7'11" wingspan, is very strong, coachable, a hard worker, and has had an insane development rate in the 7 years he's played basketball. He's seen every coverage thrown at him in college and you'll either have to guard him straight up (where he dominates) or leave open a likely 40+% 3pt shooter on the perimeter

  • @genefucarino702
    @genefucarino702 Před 4 měsíci

    Neither of either are real 1st round picks
    They can’t cover the current NbA stretch bigs who have outside shooting
    Look at their foot speeds
    They both are horrible at covering people outside the paint and switching on picks
    The defense blocks both make are individual that come into the paint and into close to the basket
    Not much help defense is expected from either player

      Why isn’t he another Kareem Abdul Jabbar? My point is an NBA team could build their offense around him in the middle. He can dish very well from the high lane and he’s pretty unstoppable like a Shaq or Jabbar down low. Plus he’s an excellent free throw shooter. Any team should understand how to use him. Just running up and down firing 3’s isn’t a winning formula.
      But, dang. I wish they’d increase the shot clock to 35s. Makes for a much better game.
