My mother used to let me watch this show as a kid and I'd have to go to bed after it, but I'd wanna stay up. She'd do the Roseanne laugh as I was walking up the stairs lol
One of the greatest TV shows of all time. Tackled real problems and not in the cringe "special episode" way that sitcons back then used to do or the very preachy and in your face way that shows do now.
@@kassiogomes8498 You're fooling yourself if you think this show was in any way preachy. It never tried to lecture its audience or anything like that. It dealt with real world stuff through the characters which made their world and the characters relatable. It was also one of the funniest damn sitcoms ever made! Right up there with All In The Family, Sanford and Son, Cheers, Frasier, Martin, Seinfeld etc.
@@kendallrivers1119 oh, please. There is an episode when Roseanne quits her job because of her sexist boss. There is no difference between old comedy shows and new comedy shows. They all deal with the same things. You know what's different? Before, we wanted chracters to have personality and to stand for something. These days, if a chracter doesn't have the same opinions as the audience, people will say that the show is "political", that the show is preaching. It's the same thing. Before Roseanne was a hero, the same episode released today it would be called "political".
Whoever casted DJ and Darlene knew what they were doing, you can really believe they are Roseanne's kids, they look like her. Becky on the other hand is the odd ball out lol
Roseanne even mentioned that in an episode. I think its the one where she is at Lamaze with either Crystal or Jackie and she says she was given drugs and comments, "Now she's tall, thin and blonde...I am not evey really sure she's mine!"
I would randomly see roseanne sometime in 90's on channel 11 in the afternoon but never knew what was going on just like boy meets world because I was born in 1990 than I started watching the conners and saw roseanne on cozi TV than I was like I'm going to watch it on peacock and I did last year now I saw it 3x but not season 9
@@christinahutton9983 Yeah I watched most of the season 9. In terms of humor I thought it was still pretty funny. However in terms of plot and development I thought it was horrible. Like the whole rich thing was so far from the message and core of the Roseanne. Also they had the newer Becky full time and I don’t think she’s as good as an actor as the original Becky (no offense). The season just felt like the writers were out of ideas and wanted to end the show. Also the ending with Dan dying and stuff like that was so left field. They should of just ended with that this was Roseanne writing about her life the past 9 years and didn’t need to show that irl things were different. Overall I can see where people had issues with this season and I feel like Roseanne is one of those shows that never ended on a high note and never will which is upsetting since it’s probably one of the funnier comedies I’ve seen.
@@christinahutton9983 Season 10 was one of the funniest seasons of the show. Like everyone in that season was funny and like you can tell they all had a connection. I love how Lecy Morphs into Sarah Chalke back to Lecy
I thought I was the only one who noticed that!
@@jwavadaeveryone notices lol
Back when the morphing effect was still so new. Great way to show the physical progression of all of them!
Her laugh was electronically boosted for a whole house to hear back in the day
I love the drums in this intro 😩

Are you Jewish
"Man, who gets drunk and cuts this family's hair?"
It wouldn't be complete without the laugh
Hands down the best intros of the series were seasons 5, 6 and 8. Honorable mention to season 9.
From “We’re Going to Disney World”. Original air date: February 20, 1996.
The second still of Lecy Goranson is actually Sara Chalke. Oops :)
Becky was played by 2 different actresses.
42/11 Video because it was an inside gag. LOL.
I think it was intentional.
I think they did it because Sarah chalk did play in 3 episodes of season 8. The Disney episodes and it was another one.

Why?

You’re a child 😮
How little are you? Lol
42/11 Video that's because Sarah Chalke appeared in Season 8 but only a few episodes though
What a great show , intro , theme .

It’s been almost 30 years since I heard that introduction. Takes me back!
The best part was the switching Becky actresses. Someone should've gotten an emmy for that.

Watch season 9. It may not be your favorite but the ending is important
best intro
This is terrifying
How?
This reminds me of when the T1000 falls into a vat of molten steel and morphs into the form of all its past victims. Terrifying.

Was Sarah Chalks picture an error? It shouldn't be there. Lecy's picture wasn't in the morphing credits when Sarah was playing Becky.

Yes because they were both alternating the role

I never liked these morphing intros.
Sonny Skye Me neither. I much prefer Roseanne's around-the-table intros that the first 7 seasons and the 2018 revival had.
