3 buddies and i met dustin at the iowa deer classic after several tall boys, truly is a great guy and authentic asl about his story with this deer. glad to see him getting the recognition he deserved.
I think waddle says it best, it doesn't matter who kills the big buck, we all hope for a monster, but celebrate your buddy's, we all get our day, may not be world class but it doesn't have to be. Enjoy the moment, enjoy this crazy ride we all ride called life.

In my hunting career ... career " 30 years . I've been close to 3 200 inch whitetails . Missed on at 20 yards . The next one , watched him walk away for what seemed like a day . 3rd ... seen him the first day and hunted that bugger for a week ... makes you feel small , but a good hunter .

I know some of his family I live the next county east of where he shot this buck and have hunted near where he came from. Heard so many ridiculous stories over this buck. Haters always gonna Hate! Jealousy is real! Never give up killing one bigger than you have before. This buck was never talked about he was definitely a ghost all his life! I may never kill one bigger than my 162” 10 point.

I’ve hunted Indiana for over 30 years and it’s crazy to think that the largest typical whitetail in America was killed 45 minutes from my front door. Congrats on a phenomenal deer!
It's crazy to think that Indiana now has a 300" whitetail and a 200" typical. This state has really started producing huge bucks.

They are out there I will never say I seen one this size but I hunt in Tennessee and where I am a 130 is a big buck. However I have seen two deer that are high 180s and even tho I am only 25 years old I spend a huge amount of time in the woods I have killed a 145 but I promise huge deer are where you are they may not be as many as other states but they are there.

Do I gut shoot him...???? Really? NEVER EVER. IMHO, you NEVER intentionally botch a shot "just to get an arrow in him" so folks will believe you saw this deer. Glad he was able to make a good shot, but it's kinda sad at the same time he was almost willing to make a bad shot on purpose.
Pet farm deer...deer that just walk out in a field everyday should not be allowed. That's not hunting that's killing. Quit watching TV hunts long time ago BS!!!!!
