The image, along with the fact that this is meant to be a theme for the Doctor. makes me think that, during the Civil War of Kazdel, everyone knows that Theresa is the queen, along with being the head of Babel. But as we know, it was the Doctor who achieved victory for them, he was the one who was also got the farthest in Oripathy research. So really, the Doctor may not be the face of Babel, he was pretty much the one in control of everything. After all, I did recall someone saying that pretty much the entire war was under the Doctor's control, he played everyone as pieces, that includes even those like Theresa and Kalt'tsit,
The Ghost of Babel is truly terrifying

Ines also said that, at the end of a game of chess, only the players get to go home. The pieces get stashed away. With the implication being that there was only one player.
In his eyes, the Queen was literally just the Queen Piece in chess.
He utilized the queen pretty well to protect the King- himself.

I'd like to imagine pre amnesia doctor is skilled in both combat and leadership but because he is a human, he can die from just a hit and he only has a gun and a knife as a weapon but he manages to overcome the impossible and defeated those deemed impossible to defeat.
Thing is, he's not a normal human, he has superhuman reflexes, both mental and physical, which is how I assume he came to a leadership position in Babel. He's some kind of pre-catastrophe human, I forget their names other than "Ancient Humans". They predate all the beastkin and normal humans by like thousands of years. Pretty cool lol
Vigilo showed that the Doc was not a ruthless jerkass but more like Kal'tsit, instead.

The Doctor would likely be more than just the Ghost of Babel, but also the Ghost of whatever race he is specifically, given he is not like any of the other Terran races, and furthermore is only one of two people remaining of said race. The other being Priestess, the only one who happened to also know how to operate the Sarcophagus. Tho as far as I'm aware, her status is unknown, unlike the Doctor. But it is safe to say that, Doctor, unlike any normal Terran Race known, is able to use it without suffering the severe side effects that the terran races would upon using the Sarcophagus. As it would seem that he, nor anyone in his kind, had any sort of prior state to revert to like the Terran races do.
It really is a freaky thing of sorts. Especially considering that the Doctor, and Priestess if she's still alive, are the last two of their kind remaining. And likely the only ones who know what happened to their own race too.

In order for the Doctor to find life and meaning in that life, the old him must first perish. Though some do not like the new him, some miss the old him, others find intrigue in following the new him, while some live in fear of him, and others find it hard to forgive him. Some find shelter and security beneath his wings while others remember those same wings laid waste to everything they held dear.

What if the doctor doesn't have amnesia at all, he just pretends? During the passage of the story, many players, and even some operatives, wonder if they are doing the right thing by killing those they are supposed to help...
this also confirms the fact that many who remember the doctor wan he was in Babel - speak extremely negatively about him (he puts goals above the lives of operatives, was rude to everyone, and he was hidden)
That is a big theory going around. Although he wasn't initially rude. He was actually a pretty goofy dude as doctor is known for today. But the war made doc very cold
@@IsaakWolf I don’t know about others, but during the passage, I got the feeling that the doctor likes to “Commit war crimes” (exploitation of children, destruction of property, etc.). But given that RI is not a PMC or an army, but a company, this sounds stupid.

@@suppavittongjitt7731 well, that comment of mine was just a suggestion, which is not relevant with the release of chapters 11 and 12. "Ghost of Babylon" he was named for his cold attitude towards the fate of the operatives, as he fought on the principle of "Victory at any cost." But there are also contraindications, which say that the doctor, being in Babylon, was kind enough. But still, we have the fact that he was involved in Teresa's "death"

I like to imagine a prequel game to Arknights, where we play as Pre-Amnesia Doctor. The game would be vastly different than the gacha tower defense and probably a paid title, but I would hope it would be a grand political strategy, similar to Hearts of Iron IV, Crusader Kings III or Europa Universalis IV.
And in one of those playthroughs or routes, you would get to explore a variation where the Doctor Won.
Alternatively it could be a VN, Lol.
