Just wanna say if you are gonna be getting into Xrd because of the Rollback patch, awesome! Its a great game and it signifies a very important part of my life, so seeing it have a renaissance is honestly the most wonderful thing.
It was my first guilty gear game but it was dead when I joined. Thanks for making this because I was born to play Sol forced to play Ky 😔

So excited for this game to finally have a more active steam community, when I started playing it was barren but I threatened my friends with violence so I’m not going in blind. Baiken dustloops are coming in full force
My situation was analogous (regarding my friends too), I actually cried after the rollback announcement

They are all the same route with a different ender and there's only like 4 main combo routes here!

Three years ago I got into fighting games because of Rev2. In those three years, I waited for the game to get proper rollback. Even after Strive came out, I still waited for the golden day to come. The time has come and so have I. Welcome back Xrd, with all my love and ready to grind again.
I played my first 10 hours in the last few days - I am genuinely shocked how good this game is!

ngl this makes me wanna play xrd again but i'd have to use geforce now because my laptop is THE potato ever and cant run a game that FORCES ur computer to run it at 60 no matter what and i dont wanna deal with using geforce now (it's just the wait times to start the game, delay's actually not that bad somehow and it feels good to play, still)

Why does that do so much damage from one combo? Damage is way too high in this game, this game is just strive 2.0 what the hell man?

@@BlindedMan Well, I started with Strive and I've been labbing a lot of Sol since the Rollback announcement for XRD happened
"strive players don't like high damage combos" is technically a take you could have but it's not a particularly good one

Xrd fans: Well, the game is faster and the characters have more options but the damage is way lower!
The damage:
It’s insane to see how hard people lied about GG damage. I even thought if it had heavy damage maybe it was Strive’s accessibility to it? But the former GGs dish out insane damage no matter pretty realistically.
Most of the ones with really high damage at the start were counter hit starts so ofc it's hitting hard. Hit for hit it's like half the damage of strive.
12 hit combo to do barely half health vs 4 hit combo to do 70% yeah it’s really the same.
@@Vexinz Please tell me a 4 hit combo that does 70 percent on counter hit with no meter in strive. You know what? Add it with meter and wallbreak 4 strike rule.
@@roar104 Yeah definitely agreed! then adding on meter is overkill. Don’t know why they reverted RRC to be unsealed in s2. But they are slowly dialing it down at least, maybe even after Xrd’s reception they might reimplement some balances.
But the damage is lower than strive? The effective hp of the cast is higher than strives due to guts being noticeably stronger(0 guts in xrd is about equal in damage reduction to 5 guts in strive).
It's not like I'm a crazy Xrd fan but to me it's still unforgivable that they turned fafnir into some gay oppression guardbreak tool instead of a cool combo attack.
