Hey Joe, my main issue with this hood and the one thats kept me from buying it is the battery, Its not replaceable they say it only has 300 to 500 charge cycles of life after that you have a paperweight, from reading about and talking to a couple of lads that have used them. Great optics for sure no doubt.
But if your welding daily like your a professional welder the battery will likely die after 1 to 3 years theres an exemption in the Warranty for the battery, its only 6 months or 1 year if you register online, VS 2 year and 3 year if registered online.

Hi deepwinter, sorry for the delay in responding to your message,been out of the loop for a while, I don’t know how many times you can recharge it, but whatI can tell you is that I’ve not recharged it since I got it, actually I don’t even turn it off, I know it turns off by itself after a period of non use, it’s definitely the best screen I’ve ever used, as regards clarity, plus it will be a lovely door stopper, if and when it dies,😜😂😂 I’m really happy with it. I think I have it over a year now and never charged it once, apart from first charge 🤙🙏
