Guys In this video example there is very minor mistake. Whole method is perfect except English marks. While adding English marks to total multiply English marks with 0.33 and then add to total marks. Rest the formula for finding negative marking is 100% correct. In this video 18 mcq's were correct in English portion. 18× 0.33 = 5.94 . Marks of other portions were 42(excluding English). Add 5.4 to 42 and then do negative marking as I explained. Without negative marking marks will be 47.94 in total and after negative marking 47.94-7.5 = 40.44. 40.44 is correct answer of this video not 52.5. sorry I was really confused due to some reasons.

merit criteria is comprised of 10% marks of matric & 40% of inter & 50% of NU-test
So your 10% matric will be 8.1636
40% of inter (part 1) is 31.846
At sum 40.0096
Remaining 30% you have to score from your NU-test to have 70% aggregate .. so in my rough guess you have to take minimum 60/100 in NU-test .with negative marking ..to reach the target
