- So there were experimental adjustments on Wanwan's Passive in the advanced server
The developers noticed that there are lots of Wanwan users that are having a hard time casting her ultimate
So they decided to reduce the required number of weaknesses to be hit from 4 to 3 before you can cast the ultimate

The best buff to happen to her in this patch is the increase damage per weakness point hit. Now she doesn't need to hit all point to trigger that extra damage. Early windtalker is now more viable.

And yet you didn't realize it's all because of the new attack assist feature where disabling it allows wanwan to use her passive even nearby targets are out of wanwan's basic attack range making it a great escape and traveling tool.

It wasn't 2 seconds for Elgin though, it was only a sec, you can see he clicked it before the 2 sec mark but the color only disappeared after he clicked for the 2nd time. Maybe it's actually a hidden nerf or it has always been only a sec.

As a Wanwan main who still uses her despite being non-meta marksman, I can confidently say that this is a bad adjustment. Wanwan's strength in late game relies not on her normal attack but on her ultimate. The nerf on it (duration reduction) is really bad even if it's just .5 secs. To give a clear example, the ult spree on 3:44 landed before Vale was killed, but on the official server, it would've been a clean savage up in the air. Wind of Nature and Winter Truncheon's active spell lasts 2 secs and that's enough to outlast Wanwan's ultimate exactly, unlike with 2.5s, that .5 sec does a huge thing especially if you're using Inspire spell.
It really does i prefer the current wanwan than this one the 0.5 seconds is a relaly huge deal with her
this is reminiscent of aldos revamp in the past, they made it so you get shield based on the number of stacks instead of based on the damage of your third basic attack. so you get consistent shield but you lose the capability of getting massive shield if your third basic attack is enhanced by s1 and crits. the devs tried to make aldos easier to play for beginners, but are inadvertently cutting off the claws of the aldos pros.
i suspect this is what is happening with wanwan.
I used her in advance server idk why but somehow her ult is alot stronger now? Maybe bcse of the passive adjustment.. But the short duration is still bad
they made wanwan stronger in the early game and weaker in the end game this adjustment made her better using crit build rather than atc speed build

Agreed. I see a lot of people saying that this is a buff. The only thing I can say is a buff is the extra 5% damage she deals when all weaknesses are hit (the weakness reduction isn't really a buff since I'm used to hitting all of the weaknesses). It is not even comparable to the nerfs on her ult, weaknesses and vision durations though.
You guys are overacting the 0.5 is nothing, and it easier to use ult because this official servers wanwan you can easily died before you can use your ult if there's enemy burst mage.
How to counter Wanwan I really want to know her quick attacks and evasiveness is just so strong if they get gain advantage early game. I get abused when we lost early game and cannot counter.
She's just fine with 4 weaknesses. I can still use her properly. But this is a great news, it's gonna be easier to use her with this buff. Nice nice nice 👍

After hitting all weaknesses, wanwan's ultimate becomes available for 5 seconds, 8f the target dies the ultimate will only be available for the next 2 seconds to be casted

I think its a nerf. Less weakness would mean less true damage during early game which would cause wanwan users to have a hard time and they actually nerfed the ultimate from 2.5 sec to 2 sec which is massive. As a wanwan user myself i think i would still play wanwan and just adjust my build to focus more on attack speed.:D

2:30 The effect of Wanwan's ultimate only triggers when the target is marked and IS alive.
Edited: So, the reason why Elgin was not able to press Wanwan's ultimate is because the marked targets (Angela and Ling) were killed before Elgin was able to use her ultimate.
Vale, on the other hand, is not marked which obviously cannot trigger the ult.

She has purify(2nd skill), stun(1st skill), and immunity for 2 second(ultimate skill), and short flicker from passive.
What she need is reduced delay caused by her passive each time she does a basic attack

Altho they reduced the invincible time by 0.5, I think it's a good trade off since we can now use her ult pretty much often. I noticed that most Wanwan player get one shot by other heroes and never get to use the ult. Her early and late game potential kinda sucks sometimes against other mm. Now you need your first skill and 2 quick basic attack to activate it which is kinda dope.

The point of marksmen is to deal good damage, and be squishy at the same time to balance it out. You only need good positioning to be a marksman player
@@leafu1556 yea but every marksman needs a DownSide, Wanwan already have a AntiCC Skill for 11 Seconds, She has a long range and Jumps everytime she Attacks, Shes invincible When Using Ultimate, She has a Stun to get his Ultimate, Ultimate duration Increased for a Second each time it kills 1 and can be Combined with Items and Inspire.
The only 1 Downside i can think of Wanwan is His Tankiness.

I think it's a nerf, with
the ult only lasting 2 seconds, her early game becomes weaker, and wind of nature completely counters her ult late game.

I belive her ulti was much more longer back then even before this current season (I panicked when they said that they would be decreasing her ultimate time) but it's not much of a big deal since after you kill an enemy hero the other enemy hero near/inside of her ultimate would get the damage and if that second enemy die the third enemy would get it(if there ever is one, mostly happens in team fights). I initially thought they said 5 seconds was going away but it was just actually .5 seconds 😀
If you really plan to play Wanwan in rank game Phoveos would be a nightmare but you can just ban him out of the game.
The shield battle spell would be helpful if there are bursty heroes but make sure to atleast get some defense items/attack items with defence mechanism like Rose-gold Meteor (?)
Use your second skill wisely, and you can sometimes even use Wanwan's ulti to escape(which I do most of the time).
Tip to easily unlock her ultimate 4 or 3 targets in teamfights:
Target the enemy tank and use the tank to unlock your ultimate, then drag the helping mode of your ultimate (you can wait for a while since Wanwan's activated ultimate can last for like 8 seconds) to marksmens or mages or anyone in their team that is easy to take down. (I give credits to Betosky for this tip since he was the one who I learned this from in one of his videos)
What you learnt from betosky is common sense for a gamer -_-
I only learned the ulti trick from him not all of what I said, I learned how to play wanwan mostly on my own. And it's a common sense there are a lot of players (new or old) who dont even know they're items and how to play certain heroes. Afterall Layla is the only hero moontoon thought us how to play in the first beginning of the game.
They need to add an item to counter wind of nature, it's just used too much along with immortality giving no room for items like rose gold. They could add the og item tooth of greed (the old haas claws) but rework its purpose. Basically when the enemy enters immunity state to basic attacks or use wind of nature, or immunity skill like hayabusa ling or lancelot ult., the next 5 attacks (does not get used immediately on a passive that deals multiple basic atk dmg like zilong's passive) and it applies on all dmg for the next 5 attacks with a duration 0f 10 seconds before expiring. It has 80 second cooldown, giving a 10 sec gap between wind of nature cd (70 sec) (if its not accurate aleast a 10 second gap between both item cd. That way ppl wont cry and consider WoN to be useless after this item is added. Mm have 10 sec to use wind of nature that has its normal use case. Mm can also run away where they can wait until the 10 sec of the anti WoN item expires. Also allows the purpose of basic attack melee heroes to be more popular.

in early game, Rose Gold overshadowed by War Axe. In late game WoN or Immortal are far more great... even damager prefer buy Athena than rosegold
@@m.aununu.musaffa7466 that's because they don't know how good it is. The immortality has a longgg cooldown so I rarely use it. Sometimes I use it first then change to rose gold meteor until i can purchase or the cooldown of immortality has reset

Nice update. I noticed Wanwan’s really left behind in the late game in terms of damage compared to other MM's. She can’t shine in the early game either bc her ult does so little damage. It’s like, after getting to mid game, you have to end the game as fast as possible lest the enemy marksman get fed enough, or the fighters and tanks get tankier.
I main Wanwan and I disagree. With the recent buff on her early game performance, she can kill enemy mm at level 1. If the enemy mm don't run to the tower, he/she will definitely get killed, unless the opponent uses Inspire or aegis.

Really? I find Wanwan the hardest to lane against when I'm playing mm too. The marks hit will deal more damage now and because of that if will be even harder to solo lane against her.

This balance is fine with me, as a new wanwan player I’m doing very well and it’s not nearly as difficult as I’d thought it to pull off ults, especially since I use inspire. This will make it easier and inspire will be the go to for wanwan.
@@juniourdaquan if you can't proc atleast 2 weaknesses in laning phase against any other gold laners, you are bad. That 2 weaknesses is a guarranteed plus 30% damage early game.
It is harder to be against wanwan than to be wanwan in 1v1 situation laning phase "gold lane".
This current update, i have no problem facing popol, clint, and brody because i always manage to proc 2 weaknesses maybe i'm good at it, idk. But for sure this update looks way more deadly early game and that what matters.
@@angsanlaton9348 I agree with u. I played Brody against Wanwan twice and I've to get closer to harass her but even hitting all three marks my hp became too low. I find it hard to lane against Wanwan when playing mm and now it will be even harder because she can dominate her lane more.
What happened to 2:27 is the hero that Wanwan’s completed the passive or trigger her passive is been killed. Means she can’t activate her ulti when her prey is gone, you need to find another one to complete the passive to activate it again. 👍

Her ult is already easy enough this is not needed

While I think this greatly helps Wanwan trigger her ulti easier, I still think she’s behind the burst MMs of this meta. Clint can easily burst her with his range while Beatrix’ shotgun ulti can erase her easily.. I think she got a chance against Brody but if she cant trigger her ulti by the time Brody used his combo on her then she’s toast. Reminder that you can’t just use defensive items on her because it is imperative that she get those attack speed+dps items on her.. one less item used for defense, then she’s weaker than she is now.. I think the buff she needs is a lil bit of HP increase..

Not necessary, it's actually easy to proc her ult. It's not worth exchanging .5 secs of ultimate for easier proc when it's already easy.

@@-Luocha- and lose more true damage in the early? .5 secs of ult is a lot of hits mind you and it's .5 secs more of immunity. Also the uniqueness of wanwan would be lost just like how they did my boy lance. Easier to use = more usage, more usage = possible nerf
i love wanwan's new buff because i still play as aegis wanwan having a huge survival rate alongside windchant so having increase damage per hit is a very good thing

It's not enough to put her in the ban section she's still squishy and u are using inspire instead of aegis that most Wanwan user use in solo bc its not guaranteed that ur team will always rotate to ur lane, it's also for counter against enemy jungler since jungler loves the juicy squishy MM. And her priority first is farming her 1st or 2nd core items which means enemies have a way of stopping her from getting stronger if they continuously bully and gang her up as well as harassing her. This has happened to me and I'm just sharing my experience playing her (she's still good at least). This adjustment did make her ult easy to trigger so u can either escape but it's not enough if u got wombo combo without expecting it. (My mentor also said "it requires to master her 1000 times from getting bullied to feel invincible using her")
The decrease of weakness is great but the decrease of cooldown is not. She is squishy and rely more on her SS. Maybe a shield after two hits or heal per hit might help.

That 0.5 sec nerf, yeah it hurts. At first i used to think getting kills is enough to prolong ult but now i realize ult still runs out even though ur fresh from a kill and that 0.5 extra from the old ult stats really helps prolonging enough for a good triple kill and above. Not only that there are probably many ppl who managed to kill in early because of that 0.5 secs extra of ult.

This is a huge buff, you trigger your Ult more often and you can bully others in lane without overextending, one thing I don’t like about current wan wan is that she needs to be aggressive to trigger her Ult, by the time you do you get shot down
Not really, Every professional Wanwan main would constantly activate their ult and not even play as aggressive as you might think, I myself can activate her ult from the backlines where I don't get killed as much. Though I do see your point of being Aggresive
@@RalphKrystianBArana not everyone gets to be in the backline. If you're a solo player with bad team mates, who knows no strategy and no idea of proper rotations you're nothing but free kill. Considering how the meta MM can kill you off in seconds. She's very squishy. You're pretty much dead before you even activate your ultimate. So the 3 weaknesses are a life saver.

Let me explain to those non wanwan users out there how big 0.5 seconds are
1. Dmg output
Wanwan ulti speed is based of atk speed, so think of it like this
Instead of a car driving for 2 mins, u r left with only 1.5 mins, with the same speed, you will get less distance if ur thinking of the car example, same to here, dmg output decreased
2. Won and truncheon
Cuz these 2 items last for 2 seconds, tht 0.5 seconds is able to deal at least a decent ammount of dmg, dun tell us to wait till they used it, burst assassins like lance, haya, even layla miya is enuf to solo kill wanwan, as we r used to proct the wanwan passive, there is no need for this buff, its like fanny or ling, its not meant for everyone but everyone can learn it
3. Immune time
Wht can 0.5 seconds do?
Delay timings, enemies had to delay their skills when u in the air, ur immune with lifesteal gets some health back, the 0.5 seconds is enuf to make u get back at least 500 hp if u decide haas claws is the way to go
4. Wanwan early game is sh1t
It still is even without the ulti nerf, u will need one or 2 items to kill your advasary, and in high rank mythic they will love to gank ur lane thanks to your squishyness and gold lane meta, the 0.5 can at least deal a decent more damage, and at least pressure more if you are winning lane
I wouldn’t call myself a pro, but she’s my main at almost 500 games and that thing with your ult? It’s actually extremely common.
What happened is: the person you hit and unlocked your ult was killed, once they’re dead you have maybe 2 seconds before it is locked again. I really don’t know why this is a thing but it has been since… well forever

You guys this is a buff
Take this into account:
1. Now that she only has 3 marks to hit instead of 4, it would be much easier for her to ult.
2. Now, every mark she hit will trigger the increase of damage instead in current version that you have to circle around the enemy and hit all the marks just to have increase in damage, which is not so useful cuz by that time you will ult. With this one she can actually use it to poke enemies then increase damage and not fully commit in dancing around them.
3. The decrease in her ult duration can be compensated using attack speed items. If u don't know her ult depends on her attack speed - it's a basic attack just like claude's ult. So building attack speed item to her or inspire could prolong the duration of ult. You can literally read it on Wanwans tip when matching up that inspire could make her ult duration longer as it has attack spped boost that's why many players are using inspire on her now.
4. Additionally, if u don't know her ult has passive that when you killed enemies it will transfer to other enemies, gets attack speed boost and ult duration will got longer. So lowering the duration of her ult doesn't really affects her if you have high attack speed and can burst enemies right away. Her ult will just get longer and faster.
5. One last thing/tip when you ult using Wanwan. As much as possible stay at the very top of the enemies using ult 'cuz it can actually trigger and consume all the weakness marks around the enemy, which can also prolong her ult duration and because of the new update she'll be hella scary as she'll have to hit only 3 marks now and gets 15% increase damage everytime she hit the marks while casting ult.
So in short, easier access to ult + more increase damage up to 45%, + easier way of procing damage increase by just hitting single or more marks instead of hitting all of those before the damage increase takes effect + those just 3 marks would massively increase her damage in ult.
So if the choice are between those or longer ult duration. I would definitely trade in any day the subtle -0.5 ult duration to 3 marks. Hope y'all understand coming from a Wanwan Main 😒🥰
Not many might know, but wanwan with critical during ultimate is a lot better than just using demon hunter's damage alone. That's because wanwan's ultimate can deal the same critical chance like her basic attack. However, only the physical attack bonus added to her ultimate will deal the critical damage, but it's more lethal than depending only on demon hunter. In this video, elgin uses windtalker, meaning his ultimate has at least 10% chance to deal critical damage per hit (15% when using marksman emblem), and because elgin uses damage merge text, players cannot see if his ultimate can deal critical or not because all damages in one skill is combined. If you want to see the criticals, turn off the damage merge when playing wanwan and enjoy seeing the critical numbers. Have fun everyone.
The wan wan nerfs such as the ult duration 2.5s to 2s is a small price to pay for 3 weakness spots

I would consider this a nerf because she's going to be banned a lot. Also the 0.5 seconds from the ult reduced sucks.
I am a wanwan main and I don't have problem with unlocking ult but it is nice of developers to giving attention to wanwan I don't want her to be ban so it's better she don't get adjustment otherwise she should get more early damage

Sans- Zhask holding his bone with gaster blaster head on the top
Papyrus- could be sun wearing sunglasses and holding a long bone
Asriel- I chose Selena for him but roger fits him well.
Chara- Gusion with her/his red knives. That's kinda cool though
Frisk- Nana holding her big red heart soul then her ult is smashing mercy
Muffet- Angela. She would have a spider doll and her 2nd skill is web strapper.
Undyne- Moskov. Yes, she has spears. Blue spears.
Toriel- Valir because of her fire powers
Asgore ft. Flowey- Flowey would be roaming on Asgore's shoulder then Asgore's weapon should be his red trident.
Alphys- Should be Beatrix using her phone, she can pick up 4 weapons.
And Lastly, Mettaton- Selena fits him well cause Metta has 2 phases. The robotic wheelie thing and the Human form.

As a wan wan main I say this is a nerft if they want to buff her make it so the needle coming back from her first skill faster so is easier to stun people

On my personal opinion, this buff is quite good. I usually get killed before I can press the ultimate button even after I hit all the 4 weaknesses (THAT IS if I manage it before a Saber or Eudora can one shot me and I already used Wanwan's 2nd skill). Even 1 less weakness to trigger her ultimate makes big difference, specially for late game since Wanwan's worst nightmare is when her 2nd skill is on cooldown and a mage can directly one shot her, worst if it's auto lock skill like Eudora and Aurora to name a tfew. This buff makes her a bit easier to use for her veteran players. I'm satisfied and happy with this buffs, no regrets at all, after triggering ult, you can keep attacking before using it if it's necessary (specially for durable fighters or tanks).
EDITH (lol): I think Wanwan is a meta marksman because she has anti CC, mobility and blink with her passive and total damage and CC inmunity (invincibility) after she trigger and use her ultimate. Even if she isn't on tier S or S+ since her early game is not that great like Clint, Brody, Beatrix, Natan and other marksmen, she doesn't depend on the purify spell and tank most of the time if you get to use her pretty good. With this buff she is probably going to get banned more often, just look at that insane maniac and savage.

they can just adjust the current ult, it sometimes dont break in the front weakness unless ur in right angle and also u cant use battle spell during basic attack which is annoying during clutch moments.
Every guy that's saying this is a huge nerf because they are a wanwan *main*, you need to understand this is actually a really great buff as whenever you ulted earlier and killed one guy whom you cracked all weakness...the next guy where it shifted the ult to didn't had any damage increased on himself as his all weakness were not cracked...and so he could easily escape with some hp left..but now even if you broke the front 2 weakness of every new target (during ult) which is hella easy as you are flying, you will get 30% dmg increase...also after every kill you get +1 sec of her ult so that's just insane...you get it?
You kill one enemy get 5% extra dmg as all weakness cracked, then 30% dmg increase on every other target you ult, don't you think this will hurt much more than the 0.5 sec of extra ultimate????
Next buff: Hit the enemy once to activate the ultimate

You don't how hard it is, especially when you go up against high atk speed enemies and burst mm and assassin. She's super squishy. One shot gun blast from beatrix she's dones for. What's worst is if there are multiple enemies and you don't know which weakness you're hitting. This is a very good buff for her. Im so excited for this one.
The one thing I dont like about this update is the nerf on her ult wanwan is like a hard to use hero but high reward hero if you manage to activate her ult

If you're gonna complain her ult cannot crit then you're wrong i have been using this build for a long time and her ult crits.
Honestly i like the current Wanwan rather than the Advanced server Wanwan since for me it's a bit skilled based

OMG so that's why, I was puzzled on how easy her ulti gets executed now.

Elgin, You don't need boots, you can proc her passive(the one where she jumps) through pressing both basic atk and joystick, just keep spamming your basic atk while dragging the wheel and then you will be skipping instead of walking.
Edit: I'm a Wanwan user
U should still get boots tho sell it late game for attack speed not dont buy boots
