  • Early this morning 16th May 2020 saw the arrival of Carnival Cruise Line Cruise Ship 'Carnival Breeze' into Southampton she had arrived from Cape Canaveral for an estimated arrival time of 07:30am at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal this is a special voyage to repatriate crew members back to their respective home countries.
On Sunday 17th May she will be then set sail from Southampton to Cadiz in Spain which is her next port of call.
The last time a Carnival Cruise Ship was in Southampton was back in 1994 so this is a very rare visit.

We were on the last sailing of this ship before everything shut down. I can't believe they are now just getting off! It was two months ago that the passengers got off the ship. Thank you for posting this as we were wondering what happened to the crew!!

Very nice to see a ship in the UK. But truth is and what is not so nice that most of the crew members heading to Spain and further is because they were not allowed to disembark and get to London for their arranged and paid flights back home, thanks to UK government. As a consequence, said crew members are to stay up to two weeks longer imprisoned on the ship, so their agony is to continue, as if it was not long enough already. And if I say imprisoned, I am not overreacting. They are locked into their cabins 24/7 only allowed to go outside one hour each of their three meals a day. Crew members, stay strong and be well!

Fingers crossed Carnival will establish a permanent presence in the United Kingdom.
While America falls behind hamstrung by the CDCP and the Jones Act.
The free world can go back to cruising.
Until cruise destinations reopen how about a cruise from Southampton around the Chanel Islands nonstop back to Southampton.
Commonly known as a cruise to nowhere.

I used to fantasize & make plans for being on a cruise. Alas, I will NEVER be on these gilded barges that have become death traps. No thanks.

I was on this ship for its repositioning from Galveston to Port Canaveral. That was a 14 day great itinerary. Really liked the ship. I'm sure I will be on it again...
