Alphonse was a phenomenal drummer he runs with the likes of Cobham, Philips and Harvey Mason just to name a few. RIP Alphonse you were the M-A-N.

I'm happy I could have seen him live in the early 80's in Germany, but I wished I had a chat with him and a sgned record album. But all'n'all he was a pioneer of smooth jazz and I love all his albums! Fantastic tracks of a fantastic musician / drummer!
